Yes you can add icons to the menu by using the font awesome 4 menus plugin. This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Hello,

The images you mention are the ‘TDM’ pictures required by the new multi-purpose plugin. They will come back as the plugin needs them to show up properly on the tagdiv composer. Sorry but these few images are required by the theme and cannot be deleted.

Hello,

The amp template cannot be edited using visual composer. Also pages that were built with any at all page builder will not work in amp. Pages only work in amp if no page builder is used on that page. As for the footer, there is a sub-footer section in our theme that you can use.

If you want to test the amp layout, please add /amp at the end of your post url.

As for the comments, if you use disqus, the theme will not be able to count the comments coming from a plugin. The theme comment count only works if the default comments are used.

Unfortunately, our child theme does not have any language file in the child theme, sorry! I do not exactly understand what you mean, sorry! If you want to translate your website to another language, notice that you should use the WPML plugin which is tested with the theme and which it seems to work as expected. I suppose that you are referring to the appearance of a flash/time loading when you enter on your website, right? This behavior appears when you have additional customization through custom CSS code. Please notice that the CSS is working in cascade and the first time will take the code from style.css that is set it by default and then the theme will take the custom code that you have changed from Theme panel and practically this flash is generated by this cause. As a workaround, you have to check your style.css and try to add directly to this file your desired custom code. So, if your problem is still there, please try to revert the theme to the default settings, without any customizations and let us know how it goes. Also, you can try to make a new fresh install from scratch with the latest version of the theme and check the results. Also, please make sure every time you cleared caches. Noticed that the only files where you will have to edit are style.css. Also, please update the theme to the latest version of it. If you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Right. I suppose that editing style.css is an bad idea because changes will reset after theme update or will miss some new styles if I use child theme on update (need additional time to manually compare files on each update). My theme is updated to last 8.7.2 version and I use only your native Custom css code editor from Newspaper Theme Panel. I mean that I want to change the order of css styles to avoid flashing (first my fixes / updates and than other default styles) — would be better to generate inline css created by native panel first and than place in source code all static css files (inline css 1. style.css, 2. theme demo css… ). Do you agree? I have tried to fix the problem in source php files of wp_booster folder but my skills are too poor. Can you help me to reorder or there is an hook code available to insert in functions.php file? Thank you.

Unfortunately there is no simple way of reordering the loading of the css. Style.css needs to be loaded first. The custom css does no load like that for everyone. There are just a few selective cases where the css is actually seen loading after the style.csss. This is usually a caching issue, a server configuration issue or a very bad optimized website. You should start there rather than alter the theme code. Please disable all plugins and only use tested and recommended ones from the theme plugins section. Please only use wp super cache and disable all other caching sources. Contact your host and have them disable any hosting side cache. If you still have issues with loading styles, please contact us via the support forum at https://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newspaper/

The theme will try to update the plugin automatically but seems sometimes it fails. Try to use FTP to install the composer. Remove the previous plugin folder from the uploads folder (if present) and paste the new one from the latest theme package (unzip it first). Please have a look and read carefully what I wrote in the link provided towards the topic of the forum (the trick did it for td composer , and it IS a coding issue, but it does not work for the td-speed-booster (AMP) and the td-mobile plugins. And of course I’m talking about the latest version of the theme (and the plugins) as written in the topic.

We all are loosing time because of such a behaviour (automatic responses without being read carefully).

I understand that there are plenty of people on the list but please, read carefully the topics (Extract : “But this method does not work for td AMP and TD Mobile or speed-booster”)

By the way, on my test-site, I have absolut NO problem and the theme works well (it is the 8.5 version….)

Sorry, I didn’t get it. What I’m wondering about is if the theme includes a functionality to assign a tooltip to a word. There are plugins that do that (i.e. https://codecanyon.net/item/css3-tooltips-for-wordpress/7416713), but some themes come with tooltips feature included. Just wanted if Newspaper has it before I get a plugin. Thanks

Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ if you want to achieve best theme results. Most likely, your PHP memory has exhausted and that’s why you cannot save anything.

I’ve tried the solution and various other solutions including uninstalling all of plugins, updating the theme from scratch, updating the plugins etc… I’ve given it enough time and patience. I was excited about it and it seems a lot of people are enjoying it so I can’t understand why I can’t get it to work.
