Hi,
It’s been about two weeks since I loaded one of your demos and I’ve been modifying the web pages to my liking but I’ve been able to realize that the theme is not working well after loading the demo.
It’s been slow and the color change modifications aren’t working.
I would be grateful if you could help me solve this problem.

Hi,

That is the cache problem, The best practice is when you are in development mode then disable all the cache plugins on your site and server too and remove site and server cache then finally check your site after removing the browser cache. hope your issue will solve.

It seems the permission issue. Your server did not give permission to add/save the settings of the Theme Options. Basically, when you saved the theme options then it’s created the skin_1.css file inside the CSS folder, because of permission the theme is not able to create this file on your site. Please contact your hosting provider to change the permission to 777 or 755 of the CSS folder and all files.

Actually, we have released our last Theme update on 22nd February 2018 and Woocommerce also released its last/latest update on the same day that is why two templates are outdated and our development team is working on the next Theme updated and soon within a couple of weeks you will find an update released without having an issue until that please be patience.

is Porto version 4.2.0 compatible with WooCommerce version 3.3.4 ? or do i need to wait for a new porto version before updating my WooCommerce ?

Porto WordPress 4.2 is compatible with the latest version of Woocommerce 3.3.4 just two templates are outdated when you update the plugin and it makes no issue while you will use it and soon hopefully in the mid of this month you will also find an update released.

First of all thanks for showing interest in the Porto WordPress theme.

We have not tested this plugin yet with our theme and it’s not possible to guarantee 3rd party plugins for us, but we think that if the plugin is coded perfectly it should work with any WooCommerce theme like Porto. You can also confirm from the plugin author. This is the best info we can provide at this stage.

Hello.. For a long time i have had problems with opening to edit product, pages, posts and porto theme options, site hang and never stop loading unless i do a refresh etc. Problem did only appear in my live site where i am using SSL, my test site without SSL was fast and ok.

I have tested different SSL and deactivated all plugins, and today i found that deactivating Dynamic Featured Image plugin fixed the problem with product, pages and posts but not Porto theme options which still has loading problems even with all plugins disabled.

Installed SSL in my test site and now has the same problem there, Porto theme options hang and is problematic to open.

Any idea?

All requirements is ok and green. Also tested with Max input vars 5000 with no luck. Works 100% ok without SSL.

Please edit the Italian Language .po file and change the word Casa into Default Home then regenerate the .mo file again and upload both of them to the same folder as you did before. You can use the Poedit software for editing the languages files. https://poedit.net/

Just copy and paste the below given CSS code to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS. Your issue will solve.

you can see it header-6 is written just replace the number with the header number you are using and you can also change the code of the icon as per your requirement.

I uploaded the theme; however, I am getting an error message from WordPress that says, “The link you are following has expired”. I have already tried to download the file again. I downloaded the file with all the files and documentation, but only uploaded the porto.zip file. To do so, I followed these steps:

Log in to your WordPress admin area. Browse to Appearance > Themes. Click on ‘Add New’. Click ‘Upload’. Browse and select the theme zip file to ‘Upload’.

I have also tried to upload it directly into the server, but that was not working either.

How should I resolve the issue so that I can upload the theme to WordPress?

Please try to install/update your theme by following the steps given below and if you will fail this time then contact us through our support system we will install the theme for you.

1. Take the complete backup of your current site.(If you are updating theme)
2. Go to CPanel wp-content/themes and rename old theme Porto to anything.(If you are updating theme)
3. Upload the latest zip file of the theme there in wp-content/themes.
4. Extract the zip file of the theme there.
5. Go to WP Admin Panel >> Appearance and activate the theme there.

Your theme will be updated easily.

Hi, in homepage ive entered a widgetised sidebar, that contain all product’s categories and subcategories. Is it possible to keep the list of categories only, not subcategories too, open by default? Ty

Hi, Thanks for the smooth theme – working on our e-shop. Would you give us a clue how to fix the %20 %2C and so on strings in the variation fields? We’re having issues with cyrillic encoding in the same fileds. For example we’re getting fileds like: 7%2C4%20%u043A%u0412%u0442%20/%2032%20%u0410%201%u0444. Encoding and everything works generally – the problem is with variation fields only. Thanks

Could you please tell me when the next update will be released?

I’ve noticed that since update 4.2.0 that the mobile menu requires custom CSS alterations to make sure it is centered evenly in background and header. You can see an example here: https://i.imgur.com/G7lGJau.png It is inconvenient to have to fix and should be addressed by your developers.

Could you also please consider adding more Mobile Theme Options and AMP page styling? Having to download a separate plugin to add AMP styling to the pages could be easily added to the Porto Theme Options. It is also important to SEO and would be greatly appreciated by your customers.

I would also like to request that your ticket and support system respond to my application to create an account on the SW-THEMES Support on the SmartWave site. I have purchased multiple licenses of Porto and would like to setup support accounts for the different clients I have. It is incredibly frustrating to have to wait extended periods of time to create an account, let alone have a support ticket answered.

I don’t want other potential customers to read this and be deterred from purchasing this theme. Porto is a robust, well made theme and with the proper plugin and hosting combination, can function and perform as an elite website. I have no problem recommending this theme to DIY clients and friends.

I’m sorry for the last comment, the layout is worked. Not working because i installed RTL teste, after disable the plugin the layout automatic switch to RTL if the user choose Arabic lang. But i have some problem about the layout, at the home page in original lang (english) the menu bar located on the left (sidebar) but after create translation to arabic the menu bar located on top like this https://prnt.sc/j1br1t

I think you have not selected the sidebar layout from the page options. Please edit the Arabic Language page and select the layout as with sidebar then the will show on the sidebar. Of course it is ! After using the ” Using_Permalinks ” we discovered that the only way using your theme is using the index.php in the middle of each URL , You knew the issue before requested us to pay for support , Can you or cannot solve the issue ? if not please refund us .

I have been entering product pages and need to reorder the products so that they appear in a more logical order. How do I do this?

To add additional information to my message, we need to order the products on their respective category pages in a specific order, not by alphabetical or by most recent product added. We’ve added the Simple Custom Post Order plugin and then we went to Products in the backend and clicked on a specific category and re-arranged and drag and dropped the products like we want, but they do not appear that way on the front end of the website. In looking at how they actually display, it seems they are ordered by Product ID # and that is “over-riding” our re-ordering using the Simple Custom Post Order. How can we get the products to appear on the front end in the way we arrange them per category in the back end? We can provide WP login if needed. Thank you!

Thank you for a great theme! And the question: I’m a little confused, thought those demos were like page templates. But they are just like separated themes. Do you have a suggestion about my situation: I wanted to use Classic demo template with, for example, resume page with Resume demo template and so on. Please install the primary demo you want to use on your live site and install the resume demo on the localhost then just create the new page on your primary live site. Now go to localhost edit the page you want on the live site and copy and paste that page code to the live site newly created page you will find your necessary page to live site.
