Hi there,
I’m using Classic Portfolio and I’d like to change the video in the header content block and have it display the same as works in the demo content. I have the play button but not sure how to add the video. Please can you point me in the right direction. I’ve tried adding a link or media but it’s not showing up like in the demo content.
I also wanted to know where I can add mailchimp pop-up code? As I’ve created a pop-up form in Mailchimp but not sure where to embed it in.

Thanks so much for the feedback. The Classic Studio screenshot is the exact layout I was referring to Maybe the issue is that I’ve used an O-Embed Youtube video in the lightbox section. The site is still under construction so I can’t share a link.

Hi mauloabook! When Uncode ‘creates’ an Adaptive Image, it just tells WordPress that a new image size is needed based on your layout and settings, under the core it just ask WordPress to create another image with the native WordPress functions and methods. WordPress asks your server to create an image (thumbnail), in fact it’s not WP that creates images but the server. What happen is that if you use some specific optimisations tools like JPEGMini, Optimizilla, designed to super reduce images sizes, your server is not able to do so. Servers are not so powerful in this like Photoshop Save for Web or the above mentioned tools. So wrapping up: Uncode asks WP some new thumbnails (Adaptive Images), WP revert this request to your server that create the new sizes but it’s not able to create super light images as some specific tools. What you can is try to reduce the image quality (native of WP) on the Uncode > Performances > Quality (need to delete Adaptive Images with the option) or if you prefer in a more manual way you can download your media library (from FTP), process it an re-upload to your server. There are also some plugins that works for this like EWWW Image Optimizer (you need to verify if they save as your offline methods). I hope this make sense and helps!

Hi Undsgn! Is there any way to create an Isotope grid listing taxonomies or categories (eg selecting a category in Visual Composer and having a grid of the sub categories)? If not, maybe something to consider?
It would be very helpful to create an album system similar to Smugmug’s Galleries: https://jamiemercuriophotography.smugmug.com – There’s probably some way to list galleries by category automatically (rather than adding each new one to the Media Gallery Module), I just haven’t figured it out yet.

Unfortunately it seems that this is how your old theme is created and I think you cannot find it automatic with any new themes, the problem is that this seems proprietary of your old theme.

I just purchased the Uncode template and am having trouble uploading it to wordpress. In WP admin I go to Appearances>Theme>Add New>Upload. I have downloaded the zip files and find the uncode.zip file. Everytime I try to upload it either brings me to my site and says page not found or that the link has expired and to pls try again. What am I missing here? uncode.zip is the correct folder for wordrpress, right? Thank you in advance!

I have called godaddy yesterday and they gave me a higher upload limit. I tried several times since then and I continue to get the same error. Godaddy assured me it didnt take long to go into effect. I don’t understand why you say that we don’t read your messages, we also replied with an article that explains the problem and this is the only reason why you are not able to upload the theme. Please note that our product is still not active, this mean the error is not in the product but with your server upload limits (even if they confirm they have fixed), btw this is a super popular theme, do you think is broken? Note that the problem is the upload from your server not something inside the theme. Anyway just reply our ticket with your logins so we can help!
I have completed the form. I have never implied I thought the theme was broken. I am a novice and need help. I followed the advice and spent the time calling my host and having the limits changed. I followed the instructions given to me and told them the issue. They told me they fixed it and I should have no problem. So here I am.

What you missed is that our product is still not installed, here the problem are all with your server (not able to upload a popular theme) but we’ll take care of you anyway.
I am really frustrated with this need to make a point that ins’t resolving the underlying issue. When I contacted you, as clearly seen above, you first told me to contact my host about upload limits. You said alternatively, if that did not work to open up a ticket. After following your advice and changing the upload limits, I wrote again saying I had the same problem. Now I have submitted the ticket, I waited because i thought maybe the upload change took time to take effect. Which is stated in my question yesterday. Which was ignored and I am constantly told to start a ticket. I have done so and it is my sincere hope that this will be fixed. It doesn’t help to have this type of back and forth about what I didn’t do. That is not acceptable support or customer service. I am no longer replying here as this is not helping. How do you style the Lightbox when you choose media in the Posts Element to be opened using Lightbox? There seems to be some kind when a post has 1 image added to Medias in the post versus multiple Medias added to the post. When I adjust The Post Settings Lightbox tab it works when there is only 1 Medias added in my post. When there is more than 1 image in Medias in the post the Lightbox reverts back to the default. I’m trying to keep captions below all my images when people view them in lightbox.
Hi alexmeadeint! You need also to activate the Poster image (https://undsgn.d.pr/R1sZPc) otherwise you use the normal embed mode and lightbox is not possible (consider a post with video), then set the lightbox options (lightbox tab) and you have exactly what you need.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick feedback, I have just purchased the theme and installed it. Great experience so far and I am impressed by the level of customization allowed. It’s really crazy (in a good way)!
Just a small UX suggestion though: when using the visual composer to update the settings of the blog layout, most of the options have switch/toggles (yes/no) with white or light gray colors. These colors are really close to each other and it took me a while to understand which one means the option is selected (turns out gray=selected but gray is usually a color used for disabled options). Why not use the classic blue (selected)/gray (inactive) pattern? It’s a small thing but I believe it would make the UX a lot clearer for new users.

Hey there at undsgn! Is there currently a way to show one single blog page with full content of all blog posts with load more after e.g. 10 posts? I tried to solve this problem several times with isotope posts, but the full-content-option doesn’t include all the data from the posts and generates some issues with different image-sizes. To explain the circumstances: I got several posts and they are very short just displaying some images and a text description. So it isn’t really user-friendly if additionally a site is generated and you have to click / go back / and so on. Help would be really great – found several people in the forum with similar questions…

Hi there, I am still waiting for your promised update/post/plugin regarding the GDPR compliance. As the theme loads scripts automatically without a visitors way to opt-in/opt-out e.g. for the social share buttons, there needs to be a way to dequeue these. Please answer ASAP as your users are risking to get sued due to missing compliance or they have to take down their website.

The update will be published today, anyway social buttons are not a problem in Uncode, the problematic social buttons are the native social share buttons from Facebook (etc), these buttons are created with an iframe that includes also tracking codes by the moment the page is load. Uncode socials are something completely different.

It seems like the plugin is not translatable by wpml and polylang… a bit of a downer for multilanguage sites. is there a way to translate it into multiple languages?

But how is this going to work if you have a site with one language that is not set to English? I’ve done some testing and it always displays the words “Privacy Preferences” and “I Agree” , even if the language of wordpress is set to e.g. German. I mean you can’t expect people to buy a WPML licence just for translating that plugin

Hi maxruebensal! This just works with the String Translator of WPML as you do this with other plugins or WordPress fields. We don’t work with Polylang but there should be the same options, btw the Privacy Plugins just works as other plugins, I think Polylang have an option to translate strings as well.
