Hi, I have some issues with my salient demo. I imported the Landing Product demo for my website. I began to work on it. First, when i add the ” clever overlapping quote ” on my page, the text is already behind the picture, and i can’t fix it in the CSS editor with a position and z-index, it doesn’t work (https://i.gyazo.com/3ff2ac4ce75b89bcddb1f1fe1f8e8e9e.png).
Second, my header menu doesn’t want to change color to white but only in one slide ( https://i.gyazo.com/1572e2fe51816456ce2ea828863e5c77.png ). It works for the others slide but not for this section. How i can fix that ?
Third, i can’t bring these buttons closer. When i put a extra class name and a margin-left : -100px to it, it works. But every others sections have this margin-left too (https://gyazo.com/d990bde8fe5bf87afc0f911f1a5896af).

That option makes it so that only one toggle can be opened at a time, with the first defaulting to being open. If you want all to start closed you actually need to uncheck that option
Hi, how can I get a Color Overlay to appear OVER an entire Template that has 2 columns? When I try to apply the color overlay at the templates master Row (using the color overlay tab) it puts it behind the templates 2-columns of elements. Specifically, the template I’m using is “Mighty Split and Gradient Icons & Info” from the Services category. Is there an element I can add after the columns which has a color overlay built in?

The row BG sits behind your column content – if you want to use a BG overlay on a column itself, see the option for “Background Color” and “Background Color Opacity” inside of the column settings

Seems to be occurring on Microsoft Edge, testing it on the Surface Pro. On Surface Pro site works fine in FireFox.

Hello. Can you point me in the direction to where I can change the dimensions for the mobile header? Its centered but aligned to another column, making the mobile-only view of the header slightly off center from the rest of the site: https://imgur.com/a/TS5cdut The issue is ONLY on mobile, otherwise its properly aligned on the browser.
I don’t know why it randomly started to show off center as it was fine before and we have not changed any of the code, we have only changed the front end theme options.
I also tried looking all over the support forum and in the comments and I can’t seem to find anyone with the same issue or a fix, the only possible post I see is no longer working on the support site about centering the logo: https://themenectar.ticksy.com//ticket/1511427/

by default the parallax page header has 0 opacity before calculating to avoid jumping – to remove it, add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:

I need your help, even support is expired. I do not understand what happend. I have the latest theme version installed, all was fine until I bought WooCommerce Checkout Page Builder For WPBakery Page Builder today and installed it. After installing, it said that it needs active WPBakery plugin but your Salient Version was installed all the time. Then I checkd the theme plugin page and it wnated me to update the wpbakery plugin, so I did. With the result that I do not have any composer anymore. What do you suggest me to do?
actually it seems that I lost my builder because I did the update for the plugin which came with your latest theme version. I have a dev installation, using same theme version but did not make the plugin update there and all if working fine. What is this? Also, can I not buy WPBakery plugins that are based on WPBakery default plugin because the theme is using its own version of it?
please, please help me. I have deinstalled the entire theme. I have deaktivated all plugins. I installed the latest version of the theme again, still all plugins deaktivated. The frontend looks the same, all composer shortcodes are there but it is showing standard editor view and there is no button anymore to change to visual composer. I can see WPBakery in trhe admin menu. all there but I can not use the composer anymore. Please help.
What does this mean? I found this at the very bottom of salient theme settings page: Redux is currently set to developer mode.

The Salient version of WPBakery has the update feature disabled so I’m unsure how that ended up giving you the option to – What version of the plugin were you on and did you also have an inactive raw WPBakery plugin in your setup? Either way, if you head back over to the appearance > install plugins tab you should see the link to reinstall the Salient version of the page builder if it’s not installed anymore.
2. You can indeed use addons for WPBakery with the Salient specific version, but the one you tried to use could require a higher version number than the one in your Salient install – 5.5.2 is the latest version, which is going to be included in the next release
3. That should only be enabled when you have the option “WP_DEBUG” set to true in your wp-config.php file

Hi Mr. Nectar. I’ve added a showcase with 3 video lightboxes in magnific mode (nice feature! thanks) in one row (one in 3 colums). They are 400px wide, great. But when switching to mobile: The video lighboxes are way too big. How can I make them smaller? Thanks for helping out! Mika

Hi Nectar, I really love the Salient theme – great work! I’m just having this small issue: I’m using the single image element, and giving it a link (hoping the whole image will behave as a button), but when you look at the published page (https://www.askherb.info/bitters/) only a small part of the image behaves as a link (it’s the WishGarden logo in the upper left). The arrow cursor only changes to the “clicky finger” when you mouse over the lower-mid region of the graphic.. Tried using raw html element instead & hardcoding in the image’s dimensions but that didn’t work either. Just need the whole image to be clickable. Am I missing something? Thanks for looking.

This issue is stemming from the permanent transparent header option – in the legacy theme skins, a different method is used to calculate the permanent transparent coloring, which has been shown sometimes to interfere with layouts. If you switch to the latest theme skin “material” in the general settings tab of your theme options panel, this should be resolved. However if you’d like to stay with your current skin, we’ve implemented the material method of calculating the effect into the legacy skins for the current Salient beta. Thanks very much! Switching to the Material skin definitely helped. However if you wouldn’t mind taking another peek (https://www.askherb.info/bitters/) the issue, although much improved, still persists. More of the WishGarden logo is clickable now than before, but still it seems the upper half of the logo is not clickable. BTW, on mobile it’s a non-issue, easy to tap… But on desktop, you’ll see what I mean.

The header nav bar still is a solid block (even though it’s invisible), so your element that you wish to be clickable needs just a little top padding to get it out of the way of the header nav. Edit the parent row that holds the wishgarden logo/first content and set the top padding to “2%”

Thanks, much appreciated! Implemented the 2% padding you recommended, which is an acceptable workaround – although I wonder if it might also be useful in a future update to have an option to just have no header at all.
One final header-related issue I’m trying to get around: if you see the page https://www.askherb.info/usage-strategies/ it’s a fullscreen row page (really like the cool functionality) but I’m trying to have no header (or just a transparent header) here as well, and if you try scrolling down the page, and then back up the page, a white header appears when scrolling back up. Even though I’ve checked the options both globally, and at the page level, to force transparent header. Something else seems to be triggering the header to go visible when scrolling up on a fullscreen row page. Any ideas for a workaround?

You can disable the header by using the page template “No Header” available in every edit page screen. I also can’t seem to get the header on your URL to show as non transparent after scrolling down/up – can you verify that it doesn’t only occur when you’re logged into the admin dashboard?

Looks like there is a bug in the CSS/JS for menu buttons on hover if you use anything other than the default 10px menu item spacing.
If you adjust to a value like 20px, the button reverts to the default margin of 10px on hover, even though the normal margin is as set to 20px in the spacing. Worth reviewing!
