—> Yes. As search position we have the following options (apply for all search types, with small exceptions for search type 3)

—> Import with this plugin works (they have a free add-on and offer support for import), but it’s from admin only. There is no possibility to import properties from front end dashboard.

—> No, this is not possible. Area is a taxonomy and Street is a meta field. There is no technical solution for a dependency.

Hello, I am no longer being allowed to change URL/Permalinks. I also can’t change the page/header settings. For example; I tried to change the header on one page to an image instead of map and also remove the advanced search bars but when I click update, the page reverts back to default settings and existing URL/Permalink. I have tried clearing cache but it’s not working. Please help!

This is odd. Normally this could happen with very old theme pages created with older wordpress versions, and when doing demo import wordpress cannot find the meta details.
But creating the page again (copy/paste) allows the page to be edited and saved without problems (unlimited edits)
For this to happen without reason, I haven’t met with such a situation.
Please try to create the page again, copy the same content / settings and apply your new settings and see if this still happens. If you can tell me what action could have triggered this, I can test the same on our demos (but as I said before, I never met with this situation).

Thank you for the comment. If we get access to clients sites we can check, but on our demos this didn’t happen with wordpress update and it’s difficult to advise. The other client didn’t follow up on this matter to know if it’s something else than what I mentioned.

If you want to display a custom field value and you don’t know it’s name you should open a property page in wp-admin with Chrome, right click and chose inspect element. The name of the field is the actual name of the input html element like in the screen capture below.

Thank you for the comment. I am sorry, but there is no easy way to do this. Perhaps you can find a plugin that can do that and we can help hide our mobile menu so the plugin menu stays? It’s the easiest solution I can think of.
I didn’t find a plugin easily for that. The most known one is Uber Menu. Perhaps you can find a free version to test.

Regarding 2, I would suggest an easier approach.
Enable in register to allow as new users agents (you can change the names) – and activate for admin to be able to approve new agents.
This way you have full control over who is approved to publish.
Adding users manually and disabling register is possible, but you still need users to access their account. So this is the easiest way in my opinion.

Great theme. We are looking at buying but have a couple of questions on certain things that look a bit off.
1) Why is “Amenities and Features” not a custom taxonomy? Seems much easier integration and more capabilities.
2) Why are the custom taxonomy “City”, “Neighborhood”, and “County/State” an unique custom taxonomy for each custom post type? If I add a city for my Property (for example “New York”) it represents the exact same thing as for my Developer. New York is New York, why this extra separation?
3) What powers the custom fields? Do you guys implement the “Advanced Custom Field” plugin (similar to e.g. the “Real Homes”-theme) or a custom solution?
4) It looks like “Agency” and “Developer” are identical (they just represent a different type of organization). Is this correct or are there specific implementations / templates only one of them use?
5) When providing an update; do you provide a break down which files have been changed?
6) In the latest update you mentioned a new plugin “WPResidence Core Functionality” to be required due to new requirements from Envato. I think it is great that Envato is pushing to split theme and plugin specifics in their respective parts, but was not aware this was a requirement. Is there an announcement on this? I’m assuming other themes will follow soon.
Just wondering why these design decision have been made. If there are no specific reason we will probably ‘fix’ and simplify these if we purchase the theme.

—> There is no specific reason for this. It was our way of adding these features (as meta) and not as categories. After initial release we started to add many more other features (like increased search options, ajax search, directory style page, optimized speed for thousands of listings) so we couldn’t re-do all just only because the features were not categories as you describe.

1. Add as dropdowns. Ex here http://prntscr.com/kicaw3 https://losangeles.wpresidence.net/ 2. As input – with search type 10 – demo here https://london.wpresidence.net/ location is coded as part of the initial fields. The fields that show when you open search are set from custom fields
3. As input with search type 8 https://sydney.wpresidence.net/ The location field is coded as part of the initial fields.Mobile, widget and shortcode for search are different and those sync with custom fields – https://sydney.wpresidence.net/area/bridge-area/ check the sidebar widget. In that area you can add the same dropdowns as show in example 1.

The card is usually used: Lot Size, Property Size, Bedrooms, Bathrooms – This is the norm!
But when selling an empty plot for building a house (for example
), do not specify how many bathrooms, nor how many bathrooms (of course)!
In this case, the icons will still be displayed (even if they are not specified)

There is a PHP function required to make fields that are not filled in disappear. In case of the custom card builder, the PHP cannot be added in theme options. That’s why the icons / text you add in the card builder is not removed if not filled in.
The card would have to be set directly in code for what you wish to happen.
We have put in the theme options 5 card types – any of these will work as you need as long as the card is set in PHP.
If you wish, we can try to help edit one of these and replace the fields that exist now with other fields. If you have a ticket for this question, please send me the ID to check the details.
