We purchased the Stack Theme which we understand uses Bootstrap as the base theme. Do you have specific instructions on creating a subtheme of Slack which seems like it would be a subtheme of a subtheme.
You can add your own CSS changes to /themes/css/local.css
Creating a sub-sub theme is not a good way to handle your own custom changes.
We’re a little confused. In the world of Drupal we always create a subtheme. Is Stack already a subtheme of Bootstrap? We don’t any other unique updates that we create to be overwritten if you deploy an update to the Stack theme. Can you give clarity?

Yes, Stack is a sub-theme of Bootstrap. We don’t do sub-sub theme often, so we do not have a documentation for you on this issue.
Since you are a senior developer, it should not be a problem for you, shouldn’t it.

Is it possible to just download the theme without creating a whole new instance of Drupal?
The theme only does not have views, content types … so you will need to do it manually. It is recommended for advanced developers only.
Adding custom js in script.js dosent work. I want to keep paging dots in slider to be always visible.

When you create your own js file, you need to declare it on /themes/stack/stack.libraries.yml
Im not creating anything new, I added the script in themes/stack/js/script.js and it didnt worked, even after flushing all cache.
We have no clue to support, because it is your own code, not ours.
You may need to add several debugging statement, like console.log(), to see those script is actually called, and returned correct values.
Please tell me is adding alert(‘hi’); works? Because i did and it didnt work. What type of code did you thought i added. Shouldn’t you be checking it first, rather than saying anything vague?
Alert() should be used on an action, like clicking a button.
Please use console.log() to print your debugging text. Press F12 to open the developer panel, and click on the Console tab to observe while debugging.

Your hosting has some kind of cache that can’t be cleared, so your changes are not reflected. Pls check with your hosting provider.

There is no such cache, even on localhost it it not working. How long are you doing to deny? Its been already one week i asked to fix this.

See this cached scripts.js file (with ?v=8), this is the one being called. Just open the source code of the website and you will see it.

The cached file is different from the actual file.
On our server, we just clear the cache it is done. But on your site, we cleared the cache multiple times, but the cached file is still there.
We also did a test on our localhost.
Changing pageDots to false will disable bullets on all sliders.
Changing it to true, bullets appear.
We can verify it works on our localhost.
If you are using Cloudflare, please disable it for a while to see the cached file is renewed.

We do not have a separate theme only for Church and religions.
But you can adapt our Stack theme to fit your purpose.

Hi there ! Really great theme ! I just have a little bug, that is also present on your live demo for the ‘home drone photo’. The second picture is not loading on desktop until we scroll just above the block and then scroll up. Any idea on how to fix it ?
Probably due to image caching? Because when we refresh then it is ok.
Thanks for your answer. I cleared all caches and nothing changed. I was suspecting JS with something like a lazyload, because if the height of the block is under 100%, the picture loads correctly.
The logo is not updating with my newly uploaded logo. I tried to upload it using both the general and the theme settings, and also deactivated and reactivated it in the block. Also when you update Drupal to the newest version the site breaks…
It appears the problem is something to do with the light vs the dark logo (on pages where the dark logo is meant to appear my logo is appearing correctly.) Where do we upload the light logo?
Pls upload a light and a dark logo to replace existing logos at /themes/stack/logo-dark.png and logo-light.png

Great theme! One thing I can’t figure out: ul/li elements never have bullet points on page content. Looking through elements, I cannot find any use of them, and the stylesheets seem confusing. Is there any easy way for me to make bullet points work as expected?
Pls add this piece of CSS code to your local.css file under /themes/stack/css:
ul { list-style: disc; }
It will turn on the bullet for ul element.
You can also add a specific style for ul, like:
ul.default { list-style: disc; }
So in your HTML, add < ul class=”default” > to turn on the bullet.

How do I change the user picture? There is no image field in user edit, but it is there under account settings, and also appears on blog

I need to insert an accordion inside a View. If the ajax is enable the accordion doesn`t works.
It’s seem it’s a problem with the way that is called the accordion function in scripts.js. You use the Drupal’s recomendations but atttach seem to not work propertly.

Hi, I recently purchased your Stack theme. I created my own navigation – and now the menu is not straight across the top, it is looking stacked vertically. What can I do to configure the menu/navigation properly? Thank you.
The menu provided with the theme is overriden under the /themes/stack/template/menu—main.html.twig . Pls check that file to see how we structure the menu HTML to achieve that.
You will then need to clone that TWIG file, rename to menu—<yourmenuname>.html.twig, clear the cache to it will take the styles of the main menu.

Hello! You posted a little while ago that you were working on fixing the bug with the main menu drop down where it does not appear when you are logged in. Do you have an update on this issue?
We had a workaround by disabling a core module. We are working on resolve it for good.

Okay, I have found the solution.
1) From the Drupal core, you have to disable/uninstall the Quick Edit module. 2) If you have enabled the BigPipe module (core), you have to disable/uninstall it also.
The developers should find a way to modify the theme to support these modules.

It seems that the “dropdown__container” goes right with 700-800 pixels that’s why the dropped-down menus are invisible while I logged in. Could you please fix this problem? Thank you very much!
