Hi. Our stats show we are losing customers in the checkout process as it is way too complicated and tedious. Currently you have to click on “Take this course” then another page opens then you have to “Add to cart” then the same page reloads wit a message saying you have added it to cart (obviously you have, because you just clicked the button) and then you have to click “View cart” to get to the next step, and then on the cart page you have to click “Checkout” and then on checkout there is yet another click before you can actually pay. This is 5 clicks and page loads before anyone can make a payment. Is it possible to simplify or reduce this?

Ideally we want to have a “Buy Course” button directly on the course detail page, instead of “Take this course” and from there be be taken directly to checkout, or even directly to the cart page would help. Can this be done? Thanks.

Just enable direct checkout in WP admin – WPLMS – Miscellaneous and you can redirect the user directly to the cart page or the checkout page.

In addition to online courses, many of the courses I will offer are offline courses (on-site). I would like to know the potential that WPLMS has in this regard:

1. Is it possible to configure offline courses in WPLMS? Could you pass me a screenshot showing how it looks and where it is indicated that it is an offline course?

2. Can we indicate the place (city) where a course is offered and add a link to its location (address) in Google Maps?

3. Is it possible to filter courses by cities, countries, etc.?

4. Is it possible to filter courses by start date?

5. Is it possible to configure courses according to educational level, both Graduate and Post-Graduate, under categories such as: Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Diploma, Master’s Degree, PhD, etc.?

6. Could we have independent directories of courses according to type, modality, educational level, etc., and display them in different pages on the menu? Please see screenshot: http://prntscr.com/l50fk0

7. Following the issue of the offline courses: Would it be possible to configure the “Take Course” button (http://prntscr.com/l50vvj), so that when you click on it, a form was opened (pop-up), or maybe a link to a landing page or something like that?

1. There is a switch in course builder to mark it as “offline”. Currently it is not shown anywhere except the course filters, so you can sort offline courses in the directory.
2,3 : There is a location taxonomy where you can enter city and you can filter out courses using this. For Google maps we can add its on request.
4. yes this is available.
5. Yes, there is a levels taxonomy which allows you to specify the level and it also appears in course filters.
6.Yes you can, get unique links for directories based on location, level or category.

8. You can set course progress based on time progressed, like you have a course which starts on 1st November and is of 10 days in duration. Now for all the course students the course progress bar will show 50% on 5th November. You can create batches with location parameter, for example you have the same course which runs on multiple locations, for each location you can create a batch which gets displayed in the course, so students can chose which batch they want to join, each batch can also have a different price. You can hide the take this course button after the purchase of the course as this is an offline course. You can manually set the course status for students, award certificates and badges to your students.

Hi, I am facing issues while trying to create a quiz from the front end.

1) There is a field ‘connected course’ in the quiz settings. Do I need to enter the same course name under which I am creating the quiz. If I leave it blank what will happen

2) I am entering the course name under which I am creating the quiz (course already published), but its displaying ‘No results found’.

3) I am adding questions in the quiz, but the questions are not getting added.

1. Well that is an optional field , there is no need ,this comes into picture when you are adding quiz retakes or enabled quiz passing score in a quiz .

1. Do I have to buy an extra plugin or add-on to have all the features offered by WPLMS?

2. When I buy WPLMA (Regular License) do I get the mobile App?

3. The Premium Plugins that you offer (Visual Composer, Slider Revolution, Event Calendar, etc.), have permanent updates or only for one year? After a year, will I have to renew the licenses to have those plugins updated?

4. About the DEMOS: In all of them can you fully enjoy all the functionalities of WPLMS? Is there a more complete DEMO than another in terms of functionalities, or is it the same with all of them? Which one do you recommend?

5. I will install WPLMS on my website and, through it, I will sell courses and other educational products of my own and of third parties (charge per unit, memberships, etc.). Can I do this with the Regular License or do I need the Extended License?

6. Previously I had another theme installed on my website. That theme came with a series of plugins, which are now expired, such as an old version of WPBakery Page Builder (when it was still called Visual Composer). Should all these outdated plugins be uninstalled before installing WPLMS?

1. No, all the features displayed or advertised are covered. The addons cover extra features which are not on display. The addons cover specific use cases like : variable course pricing ( sell course for $x with certificate and $y without certificate), Amazon S3 integration, Vimeo ( & wisitia coming) integration, Learning Paths, Course gifting, Training Batches, recording time spent in units etc.
2. No regular app is a different product, check the link in codecanyon.
3. We have bundled their plugin extended license, unless you want support for them you do not need to activate their license spaerately, you can update them like this video
4. Yes, all the demos have all the features. There many features which cover specific use case and are difficult to display to check in demos, for example : video 1, video 2 or video 3
5. Regular license suffices this.
6. Yes, please uninstall those plugins.
7. We have free installation for Theme, for app it does not apply as you would want to change logo, title, change translation for which we charge $19 for 5 simple customisations.

Pre purchase question. Is it possible for your team to build in extra features? I would like the students to be able to have a webcam session with the teachers thrue the dashboard by invite. Example the teacher invites/calls a student for a webcam session. the student accepts and they see and hear eachother. how much would this cost? or is there a way to implement this using another plugin?

Hello, I have one problem with theme. For some reason I am getting padding 900px on the main section viz. spanelstina-online.eu Do you know where can be the problem?

I added custom CSS but if you will check the source code and class “main” you will see it :-)

yes, I see, this is very strange. Can you remove the class “main” from the section ? Are you using pagebuilder or VC. In page builder, locate the corresponding green block, edit it and in advanced settings, remove the class in parent container element.

I am using Demo 5 with Pagebuilder and I am just making some CSS style changes. But I never added 900px padding. I cannot remove the main section. It’s whole page not just one green block.

Support, I’ve asked this question belofre but i guess you guys missed it:

1. If phones(andriod & ios apps) goes offline or phone run out of battery life and turns off, does the course still remain on phone after they’ve rebooted or recharged it?

I’m searching for a replacement for my current LMS. I’ve been researching your LMS and it looks pretty impressive. I do have a few question though. We offer education services to both individuals and businesses.

I see that instructors can create courses for a price and we charge a commission fee for each student. But what about instructors that offer FREE courses, such as business that use the system to teach employees. Is there a way to charge theses instructors for using the system?

Currently we have this set up:

Normal instructors can create PAID courses and are charged a commission.

Premium instructors can create FREE courses for a monthly fee of x amount per student. The instructor pays for the use of the system and the students enroll into the course for free.

Can this be done with WPLMS? Is there a different work around? We are trying to prevent misuse of our LMS by businesses for free.

This is done differently in WPLMS. There is a Batch system available. For companies you can ask them purchase a whole batch for their employees, refer documentation, the company can assign its own administrator/moderator who will have access to statistics, can share news etc.
Things are slightly different in WPLMS from your current setup :
a. Instructors can create and sell courses, you can set commission percentage for every course for the instructor which he earns on every sale.video
b. If you want to limit number of courses per instructor, you can do this and even ask for payment from instructors on creating new courses link
We’ve covered all use-cases for the misuse. The commissions are also reversed if orders are refunded, cancelled.

Yes, that is correct. Students can either purchase or use the “course code” feature for direct enrollment. Apply for course or Course applications do not work with price.

Hi, I use groups_update_groupmeta( $group_id, $field, 1 ); to add these fields ‘course_batch’,’batch_course_visibility’,’batch_exclusivity’ I see it work fine in database, i can see the value on database but when I see in my site, i got it doesn’t work as well, my group doesn’t setting as batch

Hi, I am facing few issues. Please help

1) There is a search icon in the header menu. After searching through various posts I found a CSS code through which it stopped appearing in the menu. But when I am visiting my site on mobile, search icon is still coming.

2) How to change the colour of the text that is keyed in by the user throughout the website.

3) The border of input text boxes is very light and diminishing throughout the theme and the user is not able to make out where the text has to be entered. How can I change the colour of input boxes and dropdowns across the entire theme.

Pre purchase question. We will have 3rd party instructors selling their courses on our website. 1. Can we make the course FREE, but a few sections are locked, and only available to students if they pay or purchase the section (not course, but section)? 2. If we use the myCred plugin, allowing students to purchase the section with points. Can we set it in a way so that whenever a section is sold, the 3rd party instructor will get the point? Are there any reports or anyway to show how many times a section is sold, so that we know how much to pay the instructor? Thanks

You can do this by the sell_content shortcode. For example, you enable the unit completion lock in course which forces user to complete a unit to proceed to next unit. Now, if we add the sell_content shortcode in the unit, it will hide the unit and force user to purchase it as his progress in the course is blocked. Does this solve your requirements ?

The sell_content shortcode sounds good. But I couldn’t find much info on how to use it, do you have a document or tutorial for this? Also, if we use this short code, when users access it from App, would this content (that we insert in the course through shortcode) available in the app offline, or it will need to be loaded from our system everytime?
