Dear Admin I installed shop 1 demo, in the header there is a text “Call us now ….”

Firstly, I would like to change it into a picture and show in computer and ipad mode. Because it can only appear in computer mode now.

Secondly, I would like to show it in the footer of mobile mode only. Please show me how to do it. Thank you very much.

1. Please copy and paste the below-given CSS code to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS and check your site on IPad after removing the browser cache.

2. You can use it in the Footer as well, Just go to Appearance >> Widgets >> Footer Widget and use the Custom HTML Widget in it and Paste the code in it and save changes and check your site after removing the browser cache. But it will also show on the Desktop version as well, so you have to hide it on the Desktop version by using Custom CSS again.

1. The footer in Shop Demo 2 is made using Block, Please go to WP-Dashboard >> Blocks and you will find the Footer block there so just quick edit it and copy the Block slug name and then go to Appearance >> Widgets and edit the Footer Widget 1 and use Porto Block Widget in it and paste the block slug name in it that you already copied by editing footer block and save changes and check your site after removing the browser cache.

2. Please edit your homepage and scroll below to the bottom you will find Porto Modal Box element like showing in this screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/HAmqYgB.png so that modal box is generated using that Modal Box Element and the styling and Background image is being set for it via Custom CSS you will find in the Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS as showing in this screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/HAmsBWL.png & https://pasteboard.co/HAmt6lU.png

If you want to remove the Pop-Up, just simply delete the Porto Modal Box element.

This is because you have not properly set the Footer Layout from Appearance >> Theme Options >> Footer >> Footer Type, Please set the Footer layout from there and save change, hope your issue will solve if not then please contact us through our support system we will check and solve it for you.

What Google Map API key should be used in Porto?

The issue you are facing and also every customer is/will face because of the Google updated its policy regarding Google Maps API, Now you and every Customer have to Create his/her own API key for Google Maps by going here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

and paste that API key to Appearance >> Theme Options >> General >> Google Map API and save changes and check your site after removing the browser cache, your issue will resolve.

Yes, well aware of Google actions. Was just asking ‘cause search gave me couple of API keys here. The one that works is exeeding limits. Have my own too, no problem, thanks.

it would seem that with porto v4.8.x the option in VC for rows: Row stretch messes up the pages if its not on default setting.

I have just tested the Option with the latest theme 4.8.1 with the latest WP Bakery and do not find this issue, Options for Row Stretch works perfectly fine at my end, Can you please make sure that you are using the latest plugins as well and if yes then please contact us through our support system with your site WP Admin Login details so we will check and solve it for you.

i have not updated the theme yet seem to be to many problems for some users and to remove the Automatic update why? is very time consuming ftp and so on.. most of the themes have auto update!

Hi, why does no theme update of porto work automatically? I always have to do it via ftp because I always get the error message: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature. I work with a lot of themes, but yours is the only one with that issue? When will you fix it?

I have just tested the latest theme at my end and do not find this issue, I think you are facing an issue because of the Cache on your site, Please check your site after removing the Server, site and browser cache. Hope you will not find an issue. If yes then we have to debug your site and for that you have to contact us through our support system with your site WP Admin Login details but after extending your support extension because your 6 months of support period is expired from 12/09/2017. According to Envato support policy, renewing support is required for further support.

Hello, as i have seen also thers have issues with permissions when porto is extracted directly into server and same I have. Folders get 777 and files 666 which makes many wierd issues in site.

So i contacted server techs to check if something could be changed in server to make sure that correct permissions 755 and 644 was used when zipped package was extracted.

Here is the answer: The default permissions for files and folders on the server are – 755 and 644. If after extracting a backup the files/folders have different permissions, this is because they were archived with such permissions.

Hi, The new theme options is a very small area and difficult to maintain. In some sections you need to scroll endless to view all options…. You loose completely the overview and all previews of layouts are very tiny. Isn’t it possible to just put the header-builder into the customizer and leave the rest in the previous Theme Option page. Also it loads very slow and the header builder isn’t even working correct – all header elements are just white and don’t show their description.

I think it’s a terrible idea to do it like this….

We have released the new version 4.8.1 just now and in it we have added availability to switch into original theme options panel. You can use both new live panel and original panel as your choice.

The Text area under the price on single product page is the Short Description Area, and if you want to add the button there just copy and paste the below given code to Product Short Description are by editing the product and save changes and check your site after removing the browser cache.

Latest update also broke my site, now stuck in a loading loop on public facing site. Going back to old version until this is fixed as there is CLEARLY something wrong given all the comments. It’s ridiculous to fall back saying “we’ve tested it” when so many people are having problems.

Sorry for the Inconvenience, We have split the Theme Options because we have introduced the new Feature in the theme named “Header Builder” and we have also make it possible to the Customers that to see Live when changes setting from Theme Options as we have put the Theme Options into Customize. It is the demand of the Situation.

And I am forwarding your suggestion as a feature request to the development department that “add a feature “Change back to old theme options panel” link” for the Customers those want to use the old Panel. Hopefully, they will look through it.

@MhendiZ – Have you uploaded/installed directly using CPanel? If you upload a zipped file using ie. CPanel and extract it there you can get all folder permissions set wrong. Better delete porto install and upload/install using wordpress theme installer or ftp.

Hi I have a problem with Google Console, the sitemap is not completed, there are error in category field. Index report said that e.g. https://www.electroavenida.com/category/iluminacion-led/ has a no index tag, and it is not possible, in all in one seo plugin i did not set that. The same problem appear in product category, and product tag.

Hi, ALL in ONE SEO Pack told me the problem is the theme, there is an error when i set a dinamic sitempap generation option. I tried disabling the rest of the plugins but the error is. I set up the AIOSP in other theme and it works. I inform it to you to let you know the issue. Thanks!

We have not tested “ALL in ONE SEO” so we are unable to provide you the suggestion for that as this is the third party plugin and requires Customization that is why I suggested you to use Yoast SEO plugin.

Just updated all my sites and 3 of them (not using wide menu) works just nice. But my main site which use wide menu settings get the menu popping out from everywhere during pageload, then when page is fully loaded it closes back to normal again after a short sec.

Also container width and menu popup width was totally wild but after i saved container width at 1000 and then back to my normal 1280 the width went back to normal.

But you really need to look at the menu poping up like a long vertical row during pageload.

Sorry, but none of the issues are solved?? I had solved the PHP notices but they are all back again with latest 4.8.1 update.

The menu issue is still the same and i was able to force the same issue in your demo after several attempts by forcing a page refresh the hard way. So it seems like in a heavy site menu is loaded as not wide so you get all columns in one vertical row.

Also we have the following JS warning (also in your demos): Source map error: request failed with status 404 Resource URL: https://www.arctic-fritid.no/wp-content/themes/porto/js/popper.min.js?ver=4.8 Source Map URL: popper.min.js.map

Ok, after going deeper into porto CSS i did find the issues. Porto is using CSS to hide the menu popups above the header like this:

.mega-menu .popup { top: -2000px; }

And because my menus is very big they did appear 500px below header. So by changing the CSS like this:

.mega-menu .popup { top: -3000px; }

The issue is solved. So please add this fix to your theme.css

We have tested the latest Theme and do not find an issue, The issue in only on your site and it may be because of the third party plugin confliction or the cache issue, or maybe you have not updated the theme properly, Please update the theme via CPanel by following the steps listed below hope you will not find an issue and if yes then please contact us through our support system with your site WP Admin Login details so we will update the theme for you but after extending your support extension because your 6 months of support period is expired from 02/03/2016. According to Envato support policy, renewing support is required for further support.

First of all please take the complete backup of your site/theme current version and then please make sure that your server requirements must meet the latest theme minimum requirements as given in the theme documentation here: http://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/ and also please deactivate all the site third-party plugins before an update because many of the times the third party plugins conflict with the new theme files and creating an issue for the site but you have to activate the third party plugins again after theme update one by one.

Please try to install/update your theme by yourself first if you fail then we will do it for you. Please follow the below steps:

1. Take the complete backup of your current site.(If you are updating theme)
2. Go to CPanelwp-content/themes and rename old theme Porto to anything.(If you are updating theme)
3. Upload the latest zip file of the theme there in wp-content/themes.
4. Extract the zip file of the theme there.
5. Go to WP Admin Panel >> Appearance and activate the theme there.

Your theme will be updated easily.

And if you want to Roll Back you can ask your hosting provider to run the backup for you.
