Quick question on updating. I am currently running version 4.0.5 of your theme and I do not see an update option for the theme in wordpress anymore. What is the easiest way to update the theme to the latest version without losing anything?

First of all please take the complete backup of your site/theme current version and then please make sure that your server requirements must meet the latest theme minimum requirements as given in the theme documentation here: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/category/general/installation/ and also please deactivate all the site third-party plugins before an update because many of the times the third party plugins conflict with the new theme files and creating an issue for the site but you have to activate the third party plugins again after theme update one by one.
Please try to install/update your theme by yourself first if you fail then we will do it for you but after extending your support extension. Please follow the below steps:
1. Take the complete backup of your current site. (If you are updating theme)
2. Go to CPanelwp-content/themes and rename old theme Porto to anything. (If you are updating theme)
3. Upload the latest zip file of the theme there in wp-content/themes.
4. Extract the zip file of the theme there.
5. Go to WP Admin Panel >> Appearance and activate the theme there.
Your theme will be updated easily.
Note: Please take a complete backup of your site before update the theme and also deactivate/delete these three plugins (Porto Widgets, Porto Shortcode, Porto Content-Type) before an update because in our latest theme we have made a new Plugin named Porto Functionality is a combination of these 3 plugins so before install Porto Functionality you must deactivate/delete those 3 plugins and in our new update also Ultimate addon for Visual composer Plugin is also excluded, the elements which are used in the site of Ultimate Addon we add those elements in Porto Functionality so no need to worry but you can use Ultimate Addon for visual composer as well it is up to you.

Sorry to say that but we have not tested “ARMember – WordPress Membership Plugin” with the latest Theme so we are not able to provide you the suggestion for that, if you want you can try/test any third party plugin with the Theme but at your own risk as it is clearly written on the item support page that we do not provide support for the third party plugin confliction issues or Customization.

Wondering if anyone has run into the issue of woocommerce product thumbnails not showing up on mobile ? I switched to a different theme and they show fine – but when I’m using Porto – no dice. I’ve checked the css links on the mobile site and they are good – but the images just won’t render. Super strange – anyone have any advice ? Thanks !

Please download the latest Romanian language translation files of the Porto WordPress from below given links and upload it to wp-content/languages/themes and then go to WP-Dashboard >> Setting >> General and select/set your site language as Romanian from there and save changes and check your site after removing the browser cache.

I have Avada, Flatsome, Be, GeneratePress and WooPress running locally on WAMP. All are able to connect to their API server, accept Porto. I was able to setup Porto on my live dev site online. Since that worked I decided to zip it up and move it to my WAMP local machine. Still unable to connect to the API server. This is very bad because I do not have access to any of the demo content which I need. I am at a loss for words. Developing locally is the way to go because of how much faster you are able to work. Developing Porto on in a shared hosting environment is brutal. If I can’t develop locally with Porto I will end up not using it. Period. This same problem happened on my very first install a year ago, but I was too busy to put time into it for troubleshooting. Now it looks like I am stuck with a dead WP theme. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled from the dashboard and directly in the root. Same results. What do you recommend?

First of all, The issue is not in the Theme nor the purchase code is invalid as we already described you in your first and last ticket #38368, we provide you the free support inspite of that your support was expired, and the issue is only on your server, your local server is not able to connect our internal server https://portotheme.com that is why the issue occurs, and also Porto WordPress works perfectly fine on shared hosting as well as hundreds of our happy customers using the Theme on shared hosting as well, so this is not a good behavior that you have an issue, and your support was expired and inspite of that we helped you and you write bad words which are not true at all for the Theme.

I bought the theme and tested it on one domain that I will not use. Now when I try to activate it on my real domain it says I cant activate it… since its been once activated on another domain. Please remove the activation from the other domain.
I have already deleted the theme the test domain that i used it on, but still cant activate the theme on the real domain. If this is not possible please make a refund as I cant use the theme.

I’m using the image/color swatch that came with the theme (I’m not using any 3rd party plugin for color/image swatch).
It works great, but we have many very similar colors when you look at them (lipstick, lipliner, etc.) and it would be nice to show the color name too while choosing the colors.
It is very important for customers to know the name of the color.
Right now, the only way for customers to know what color they are purchasing is until the product is in the shopping cart, where it displays the color name.
Is there a way to make the color name appear in the tooltip when customers hover over the color in the shop page and in the product single page, either in the tooltip on color hover, over the image (like the “HOT”, discount, etc. tags) or maybe somewhere else in the page when selecting a color, before adding it to the shopping cart?

This issue mostly occurs because of the server incompatibility issue, Please make sure that your server requirements must meet the latest Theme minimum requirements as listed below:
Requirements for Theme
You need to agree on the following requirements.
WordPress 4.0 or higher.
PHP 5.6 or higher.
MySQL 5 or higher.
Memory Limit 64M or higher.
Recommended PHP Configuration Limits
Many issues are all related to low PHP configuration limits. The solution is to increase the PHP limits. You can do this on your own or contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:
max_execution_time 600 minimum and it would be great if it will set as 1000
memory_limit 128M
max_input_vars 2000
post_max_size 32M
upload_max_filesize 32M

Sometimes it may require your own customization. So if the development department finds it fit with the theme environment then surely they will look through it.

I mean that there is no Hooks list for Porto WordPress, If you want to Customize the Theme then you have to Customize it in the Theme Core Files.
And yes it is the result of Short codes, and those all pages comes with Demo Import, when you Import any demo then there is an option to Import Short codes, Just check it to Yes and those all will be on your site.
