Just note that right procedure for doing update of Bridge is to: – first update our theme, here are instructions http://bridge.qodeinteractive.com/documentation/2-getting-started/2-3-installing-the-bridge-theme/2-3-4-theme-update/ – then to install/activate our new Bridge Core plugin and after you could update other of our plugins. Also, make sure to have parent theme activated while doing this update. Then if you have child theme and made some modification in functions.php code of your child theme, just check if you are using any method with “qode” prefix and replace it with “bridge_qode” After this, you are able to activate child theme, too. Everything should be working well. Please, let us know how it goes.

cannot access to required plugin page because it crashes after theme update

It is because you still have Envato Toolkit and this plugin is deprecated and replaced with Envato Market. So, just go to wp-content/themes/bridge/framework/modules/ and delete completely this folder envato-wordpress-toolkit Everything should be workign normally after.

After updating theme from 17 to 18.0.8, I get this issue, not sure it lead to other problems:

After installing the update 18.0.8 from 17, I ran into an issue that the blog template “blog large image” is not loading the excerpt text. I do not see any errors in the console or any CSS issues with “display:none” Here is the page: https://aperina.com/blog/
It used to load the first 350 characters of the excerpt that I added to each post. I also can confirm that the settings did not change from the update in: Qode Options > blog > Number of Words in Blog Listing = 350
It’s only like that after the update. I rolled back, and it was fine. I also made usr to activate the Bridge Core plugin.
Did something change that I need to be aware of? I did try another page template (like blog large image simple) and it did load the excerpt content, but obviously, I want the template that I initially had.

The latest Bridge update to Bridge v18.0.6 seems to have stopped some VC elements from working that I had enabled previously.
Following a support request from myself, in bridge 17 and before, I was able to enable the following VC elements by commenting out the following from extenvc/extend-vc.php
// vc_remove_element(“vc_tour”);
// vc_remove_element(“vc_tta_accordion”);
// vc_remove_element(“vc_tta_tour”);
// vc_remove_element(“vc_tta_tabs”);
I placed a copy of this file in bridge-child/extenvc/extend-vc.php folder as before, but now the above elements are not working any more. Please help? Is there anywhere else I need to alter in your code to re-enable accordion, tour and tabs?
My support may have run out, but seeing as functionality you previously helped me to get working has now stopped with the update, I’m hoping you’ll be gracious and point out what I should amend in your code to get these elements enabled again. I think it sucks that they are disabled in the first place. They work in every other theme I bought with Visual bakery Composer.

Update – changing the above codes in the main theme subfolder extendvc works, but not when applied to the child theme. Not sure why that is. Advice would be welcome?

I’ve been trying to update to the latest Bridge, but it keeps giving me a fatal error. I read about the Bridge Core plugin might be able to help, but I can’t seem to find that plugin. Help please!

Just note that right procedure for doing update of Bridge is to: - first update our theme, here are instructions http://bridge.qodeinteractive.com/documentation/2-getting-started/2-3-installing-the-bridge-theme/2-3-4-theme-update/ – then to install/activate our new Bridge Core plugin and after you could update other of our plugins. Also, make sure to have parent theme activated while doing this update. Then if you have child theme and made some modification in functions.php code of your child theme, just check if you are using any method with “qode” prefix and replace it with “bridge_qode” After this, you are able to activate child theme, too. Everything should be working well. Please, let us know how it goes.

I’ve updated your theme many times in the past without any issues. The recent theme update I keep getting this error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function qode_envato_wordpress_toolkit_installed() in /home/content/a2pnexwpnas03_data02/31/3492631/html/wp-content/themes/bridge/framework/modules/envato-wordpress-toolkit/load.php on line 3
And I know that the Envato WordPress Toolkit plugin is deactive. Any sugguestions on how to resolve this message? Richard

We found that the issue is caused by prettyphoto script – WPBakery plugin still uses older prettyphoto script, which overrides the script from our theme, which has been updated in the latest theme version. The temporary solution until WPBakery developers update specified script is to open functions.php file, find and rename ‘prettyphoto’ to something else, for example ‘bridgePrettyphoto’ on this line:
https://monosnap.com/file/yrvO1PuRgDAom2wJ3OzDuiucqxp8mBThis will force ( updated ) prettyphoto script from the theme to be used. Save modified file and upload it to server via FTP, or edit the functions.php file under Appearance -> Theme Editor.
We have contacted WPBakery developers regarding this, hopefully they will include updated script in the next theme update.
