Hello the Qode Import dosent work i cant find the templates to import. Thanks

Please check if you have your Bridge Core plugin active as if it is not active you will not have access Qode Options and Qode Dashboard. As well check if your theme is installed properly as we can not replicate this on our end neither have we had similar issues from our customers. https://www.screencast.com/t/Oit0371JW

It might indicate that your theme is missing some files once you installed or if you are using a child theme please activate the parent theme. And as for System information you may check our recommendation on it here

Update to 19.3 seems to have broken the icons of your WPBakery element “Message – Type: icon”. The icons dont show up any more..

is there a way to add a custom class to qode sliders? I have some sliders and I need to have possibility to style them in specific way by code, do you know if there’s any trick to assign specific html class name to single slides or slide categories?

Hi there,

As for the slider content and responsiveness you may find the settings for it in Sliders > Advanced responsiveness.

However there is no option to have a specific class set to a Slide or slider within the themes options. You can however try to target your slides content with :nth-child selector like this for example:

.slider_content .q_slide_text:nth-child(2){
    color: red;
}

It depends actually what you want to achieve, so this is simply an example. Another thing you can do is to build your slider with Slider revolution plugin which will give you more options when it comes to the content and editing different slides.

Since upgrading Bridge my woocommerce product images are displaying too big like 600 wide rather than 300. It’s a theme problem as when I activate a standard theme they show at 300. I’ve tried all settings but can’t get them ti display correctly.

Once testing this on our side we can not replicate the issue. However you can always try to Regenerate thumbnails with the same named plugin that will possible fix the issue on your side.

Are there any settings in Bridge that dictate the product image sizes? Will regenerating thumbnails not break the original images?

You may find the images sizes settings in Appearance > Customize > Woocommerce where you can change the image size to your needs. https://www.screencast.com/t/DuVHTKU7k

And once regenerating the images it will not break them, rather it will make new copies of the images in those sizes.

Hello, after recent update there seems to be someking of problem with sortcuts, such as top header social, portfolio… Please advice.

there must be a problem with bridge-core I updated just this plugin and the shortcodes are not recognized

I would kindly ask you to check if you have activated the Bridge Core, after you have updated it. As well as check if you have updated the theme to the latest version 19.4 and Bridge Core plugin version to 2.0.7, you can relate to our article here.

Hi there, I’d really appreciate your help.

I’ve been using your Bridge theme for a few years and have just noticed that your Video Player doesn’t seem to be responsive.

When I embed video from Vimeo and then resize my web page, the video remains the same size. It doesn’t resize along with the page. Similarly, the video is too big for a mobile phone screen, and appears cropped.

This is only the case when embedding via the Video Player function. Embedding using the Qode Portfolio Images/Video function doesn’t have this issue, and the video will resize perfectly when using that. However I don’t always want to create a Portfolio page, and sometimes want to add additional videos to existing Portfolio pages, like here: http://bit.ly/2PrMsOZ – you can see that the Portfolio video at the top is fully responsive, whilst the Video Player video at the bottom of the page is not responsive at all, despite both being from Vimeo.

If you could advise how to solve this issue I’d be very grateful.

As a halfway answer, I’ve figured out that using the ‘Video’ Qode Shortcut, instead of the Video Player element, will create a responsive resizable video. However the size of the video is restrained by the text width, and doesn’t stretch the full width like the Portfolio videos do. Not sure how to change this?

The size of the video is restrained with the column the video is in. If you want, consider creating your Custom Portfolio with help of WPBakery and not use a Porfolio template which has its own predefined style and layout. The portfolio template you do use is consisted of 2 columns and therefore the video and text is taking up the whole space of column that takes 75% of the page content.

I was optimizing my website, but I never got good results in GTmetrix no matter how much optimization I did (more than other websites I have) and the GTmetrix report is terrible.

I did some random testing on your demo templates and it’s all the same… it’s very bad because I love Bridge, but I won’t even risk putting this on a client website.

Do you have any idea how to fix these basic problems?

On single portfolio page two terms are not can be translated.
“About This Project”
“Category”
In the loco translate translated both, but the English text still appears.
What can i do?

Our theme is fully translatable so please check our article on how to translate it here. Portfolio element is generated by Bridge Core plugin, so you need to add your translation under Loco Translate -> Plugins -> Bridge Core.

What can i do?

You should know that once translating you should check both Loco Translate > Themes > Bridge for translation of the labels and Loco Translate > Plugins > Bridge Core

as once we test this on our side we could translate the labels without any problem. Another thing I will ask you to check if you have the same language selected in Settings > General as well as in your Loco translate once you try to create a translation.

We also see that you have an outdated version of Bridge Core plugin so please update your plugin to the latest version 2.0.6 You can check our article on how to update the theme and its plugins here

If this somehow does not work on your side you can always change the file directly if it is needed. You will find it in wp-content\themes\bridge\templates\portfolio-loop.php

Trying to work around this theme is a complete nightmare. I hate elementor. I am used to using Visual Composer and WP Bakery… The problem is, to import templates while building pages, it tells me I need to activate WP Bakery, which doesn’t happen with other themes I have purchased. Using Guttenberg is impossible on this theme. It simply does not work. I am at a stand by considering switching to another theme. How do I find the WP Bakery licence I NEED to import templates into page sections? Also, I talked to my hosting provider to make sure my system allows importing demos BUT, of course, when I try it tells me that “server resources are not configured properly” This is impossible of course because I already changed the settings. Wasting so much time here

Sorry that you feel this way. You should know that with the new update of the theme you have now ability to choose from either Elementor or WPBakery plugin. You do not have to have them activated both, off course with the selection of the one of the Page editor plugins you will have the ability to choose from different demos that are either built with Elementor or WPBakery.

As for the resources you should check with your hosting provider if your resources meets the required ones so you will be able to have a smooth import of the demo content.

As for the Gutenberg, testing this I can’t seem to see any problem editing the pages with it. However if you are used to WPBakery you can surly activate it and use it without any issue. Do note that it does not need activation as it comes bundled within the theme and you can read more about bundled plugins here
