The latest update seems to delete child theme whenever you update or change settings. The folder with the child theme is empty but some of the settings stay after the folder is emptied but sometimes it forgets and you have to reset everything. Various plugins.with the theme also seems to not be working correctly.

I’m using version 7.1.3 and it doesn’t matter which site I used on it. It seems like the latest version with the latest version of Wordpress 5.5 broke aspects of the theme. If I update the parent theme, all my customizations go away even when I have a child theme. Whenver the parent theme is updated, the child theme folder gets wiped out (the files actually get deleted; and if you update the child theme by mistake, the whole folder gets deleted).
I would report it on the forum but my support period just expired and it seems like several people are having issues that are similar to mine. It looks like several of the plugins also aren’t working… the post count, weather, instagram all don’t seem to work (post count shows 0, instagram doesn’t show the feed, has error showing; and weather just returns nothing).
Up until the updates, the theme was working great. I’m hoping all these fixes aren’t one off types of things that we have to pay for support for them to work since they were working before.

For further theme update, we recommend you to create backup for your website. So if something goes wrong happen after update you can rollback your website using backup file.

After some playing around, I figured out to just replace all of the files manually via FTP and reactivate all the plugins seemed to have solved most of the problems for now. Usually the upgrade is seemless. Seems like the latest one was anything but.

You need to switch to another theme before you can delete the theme. Btw, you just need to click the “update now” button (https://ifamagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Screen-Shot-2020-09-30-at-10.51.39.png)
Before doing the theme update, i suggest you create a site backup. So if something goes wrong you can rollback using the backup.

There’s a new update button on the dashboard that keeps breaking my site. It forcefully deletes my child theme. The button also doesn’t disappear even after updating.

I have a question about the type of Image Generator. In the Customizer, I choose the Dynamic Image Generator option, where many thumbnails should not be generated for each image, but as I can see, 16 thumbnails are generated for each image. About 1 third of this is actually used. This can be seen with a website with 3,000 images in half a year. How to fix it? Thank you

When you use the Dynamic option, the image thumbnails only generate when it needed and it will be deleted when they don’t need it. This option will save much space but this option is slower than the Normal Image Generator option.

Can this theme be used on several websites? How to use? (license GPL)

If you have a regular license, you only can use the license on 1 site domain. 1 regular license for 1 site domain. If you want to use the JNews theme on several websites or domains, you need to use multiple theme licenses.

GPL doesn’t mean that you can use this template for several domain. themeforest term is clear. many plugin such as woocommerce extension, or elementor also using GPL license, but its doesn’t mean that you can use pro version of those plugin for many website.

I really liked the theme and its function. I downloaded it from Envato elements.
However, I am facing some issues which are really bad.
1. Facebook login issue if I use any cache plugin and I log in using Facebook I will work for the first time only then I can not log in using Facebook. Facebook login will only if I go to some page which I did not visit early and then log in and then after the same issue.
2. Facebook comment section when I comment on the laptop I don’t know why the cursor goes to starting after every latter I type it happens only in the desktop view.
3. Frontend post when I post from frontend and add a new category or tags it will not save in data it takes as uncategorized.
I will love to buy it if you can ensure me to resolve the above issues.

After the last update, my website is not able to track the google analytics code in website. I tried to debug the issue in chrome tools and it shows that some issues with samesite cookie…

Please add custom labels that are seen before post titles, on hompeage and inside the article. Labels are used to show thing “UPDATED” “SPONSORED” etc. This theme would be amazing if it had it.

In this case, you don’t need to purchase the WPBakery plugin, we already included the plugin on the JNews. We will include the plugin update on the JNews update.
For Elementor, JNews support the free and pro version of Elementor. But we don’t include the pro version of Elementor on JNews.

If I buy it and have multisite network on single wordpress instance, it can be used with single licence by activating at network level ? Can I use it on more than one production wordpress? Also how I will test in dev and test environment with same activation key .
Also from feature perspective does it has show full post kind of feature on mobile allowing users to read full post or leave . Like Jannah Theme does have
You can use 1 regular license for 1 domain and their subdomain. If you want to use JNews on multiple domains, you need to use multiple licenses on each domain.
Firstly you can activate the license on the dev or test environment. Then after you’ve done you can migrate your website to the live environment then you just need to uninstall JNews on the dev or test environment.
For the feature, can you provide me an example? Just want to make sure.
