Hello guys, i purchased Jnews theme on 21 August 2020 and the same i installed in my wordpress theme. On 3rd October 2020 because of some reason i deleted and reinstalled my wordpress. Again i downloaded JNews theme from theme forest from my ID on 3rd October from the download section and after installing its showing error. So kindly help me to solve this issue

1) First you need to distinguish between help and bug reporting. We know where the problem is. The Frontend Translation plugin has been updated and there are new strings that duplicate the translation in POT / PO – this now requires double translation, and FT has priority over Loco translation. But FT has a little bug. The “Display Name” (ACCOUNT PAGE) field is shifted to the left as if cut off.
PS ANOTHER BUG
There are 2 fields that explain the same thing but 1 doesn’t work and 2 doesn’t work properly.
“Min Read” and “Reading Time:”
First there was the Min Read field. After the corrections it worked properly and showed the time in the form of “1 min”. Just abbreviation of min. it is universal in any language.
Now you’ve added a field that displays exactly the same, but has a different name (actually correctly): “Reading Time:”.
If you type the translation in both of the duplicate fields, strange information is displayed, but not the reading time.
If you only use POT / PO, it shows only number “1”. Every translation is wrong and shows incorrect data. The closest to what was and was correct is Reading time: but it does not show if it is for min. or by hours.
There should only be 1 “Reading time” field, but then it should add (with a space) information (it was before) whether it is minutes or hours. And you should fix POT/PO, as well:
Reading time: 22 min.
Reading time: 1 min.

OK. But consider removing the field SIDEBAR (with vertical and nontranslatable string in backend S I D E B A R). When you use the Classic Editor and disable Gutenberg, the user sees a gray SIDEBAR box – not editable. It does not make sense. It takes up space and when someone uses the editor who does not even know that they use WP because it is our client, it really & only bothers.

Yes, we can migrate the featured video. For the ads, I think it’s possible. We can disable the ads for the login users. So the subscriber users need to login to avoid ads.

The latest update seems to delete child theme whenever you update or change settings. The folder with the child theme is empty but some of the settings stay after the folder is emptied but sometimes it forgets and you have to reset everything. Various plugins.with the theme also seems to not be working correctly.

I’m using version 7.1.3 and it doesn’t matter which site I used on it. It seems like the latest version with the latest version of Wordpress 5.5 broke aspects of the theme. If I update the parent theme, all my customizations go away even when I have a child theme. Whenver the parent theme is updated, the child theme folder gets wiped out (the files actually get deleted; and if you update the child theme by mistake, the whole folder gets deleted).
I would report it on the forum but my support period just expired and it seems like several people are having issues that are similar to mine. It looks like several of the plugins also aren’t working… the post count, weather, instagram all don’t seem to work (post count shows 0, instagram doesn’t show the feed, has error showing; and weather just returns nothing).
Up until the updates, the theme was working great. I’m hoping all these fixes aren’t one off types of things that we have to pay for support for them to work since they were working before.

For further theme update, we recommend you to create backup for your website. So if something goes wrong happen after update you can rollback your website using backup file.

After some playing around, I figured out to just replace all of the files manually via FTP and reactivate all the plugins seemed to have solved most of the problems for now. Usually the upgrade is seemless. Seems like the latest one was anything but.

You need to switch to another theme before you can delete the theme. Btw, you just need to click the “update now” button (https://ifamagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Screen-Shot-2020-09-30-at-10.51.39.png)
Before doing the theme update, i suggest you create a site backup. So if something goes wrong you can rollback using the backup.
