Hello,
My websites home page is suddenly blank after a recent wordpress update I believe
https://www.napleseventproduction.com/When I try to edit the homepage through the dashboard, or any page, I get the error “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
I tried to update theme but I get a similar error when trying to access the site at all. I had to revert to an older version backup.
I’m using a child theme btw.

IMPORTANT!: in Color Section when background image is set to Fixed, Centered and Streach to fit on desktop and phone it’s OK but on tabled the image is not resized correctly and looks grainy! Version 5.1.2 also does not fix this bug!!!

Hi, is there anyway that I can have the logo change color when viewed on mobile? My pages vary from black and white backgrounds. It looks fine on desktop, but the transparency doesn’t change on mobile.

Hello! 1.How to edit the Blog page (default blog set by wordpress and your theme), I have articles that must be part of different pages such as Jobs, Services and Articles that I don’t want them all in the blog. In the other pages I was able to select the categories in the blog but I can’t, how can I do it? I’m need to set only one category in default blog 2. 1- Please go to Enfold theme options > Blog Layout > Blog Layout and choose to use ALB – https://imgur.com/a/EQNb3GJ. Then you can edit your Blog page just as any other page and choose certain categories in Blog Posts element
2- Unfortunately our contact form does not support file attachments. If that is something you really need, please consider using Contact Form 7 plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/. Is there are reason your theme doesn’t prompt updates? No way to even know the theme was out of date until it was too late.
The lack of support for older theme versions and the lack of information regarding the theme being out of date is concerning.
Also – it’s not my site build but I’ve had this put on me. I’m betting $50 that Enfold update to 5.0 will also break the existing site because developers never put in support for legacy feature changes.

The reason Enfold does not prompt updates in your case is the old version. Envato has updated their API and we have included those changes in Enfold 4.5. Any older version of the theme requires a manual update first and API keys need to be replaced with Personal Tokens. You can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token to generate a Personal Token.
I have personally updated many old Enfold versions, the most recent being version 2.7, and never had any issues. Our devs keep backwards compatibility in mind. If your client modified theme files directly on parent theme, obviously those will be overwritten and if they are using a child theme, modified theme files might need updating.
If you would like us to help updating the theme, please create a testing duplicate, start a thread on our support forum https://kriesi.at/support/forum/enfold#new-post and attach temporary WP and FTP logins in private content field

For a theme that has been around for a long time and definitely a good one, default WooCommerce styles are very poor. https://i.imgur.com/d7ATZMK.png Imagine fixing CSS of this on all the sites. Please pay attention to the WooCommerce styles. There are more areas like this.

Hi, I was trying to use Directories pro plugin (https://codecanyon.net/item/directories-pro-for-wordpress/21800540) in my site (with Enfold theme), but unlike normal theme (twentytwenty, storefront, etc.), Enfold won’t show the correct title for plugin’s taxonomy pages, for example : the title of the directory Category Restaurant should show as “Category: Restaurant” , but Enfold not showing the title “Category: Restaurant” , and instead, it make all the menus named “Category: Restaurant”. It is so strange behavior, I like Enfold, I don’t wanted to change the theme just because a plugin. But I think it might has something to do with the theme, as I tested plugin with default wordpress theme, all works fine. Do you have any suggesetions maybe?

Just an update: Also a title problem, in single listing , Enfold shows ‘Latest news’ in title , not the actual listing title. It seems enfold handle the listing as a ‘blog’ here

Hello, after updating to version 5.1.1 the logo area color background is expanding vertically below the header which breaks the design. I have tried to resolve it with css. Any idea why the background-color cannot be set to full transparency? How can I resolve this?

Hi Enfold, Enjoying your theme for a while now. Our hosting is not supporting lower versions of PHP soon, so an update to PHP8 is inevitable. I tested this in a staging environment where I updated to the latest version Enfold to 5.1.1. Plugins and Wordpress are all up to date as well. It all works now. but for some reason Enfold adds a margin-top of -180px to some Flex_columns in a row. and adding extra classes, like: ”.flex_column.av-jhhq1mxs-42-cd154e1fe17934e6a9414f1f87e99ada”. I have no clue how to fix this. But my Enfold support is expired (because it always worked fine). Do I need to buy extra support for you to check and fix this? Hope to hear from you soon. I see that you are using a child theme. Please temporarily switch to Enfold parent theme and clear cache and check if that helps. I believe the issue might be related to your customizations in your child theme

ISSUE after Update.

AFTER UPDATE to the latest version of Enfold the image opens in TWO lightboxes. (One lays above the other)
Please give a solution for that
Meanwhile we were forced to update to the latest Enfold version since there were really big issues with WP6 and our older Enfold version. That means you see the issue live now.
And we already disabled the modal window capabilities in the Enfold settings – but still the images open in two lightboxes.
Additionly we want to say that we need the Enfold lightbox cause sometime we need to open videos or external sources in modal windows – disabling the Enfold Modal Window is not an option.
The solution must be: Open NGG images in the NGG lightbox and open others with the Enfold lightbox
I could disable the modal script in NGG but then i loose the thickbox effect withe the nice white borders.

Currently there is no known compatibility issue with Enfold on WordPress 6.0.1.

thanks i downloaded the open sans from google and put the folder with the .ttf in a zip. imported this zipfile under Enfold > Import/Export > Custom Font Manager and replaced the heading and body font in the theme settings. works like a charm no external googlestuff is loaded now!
it is a beautiful theme, it has many features and it is a detailed theme
