I found the error. I will post the solution here for everybody who receives that message:

If you download “only the Enfold file” you will receive a Zip File 65 MB entitled “Enfold.zip”. If you try to upload and install it you fail with the above message.

If you download “all files” you will receive a folder entitled something like

“themeforest-1DWVVPkF-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme”

This folder contains the same files which you receive when you unpack “Enfold.zip”.

Both unpacked folders contain a file entitled “enfold.zip” with a lower case “E”. that file is 19.4 MB. It can be uploaded and installed.

Finally, the downloading menu “file only” or “all files” is erroneously confusing. You get the same, once packed, once unpacked. What you should use is the file inside with the lower case theme designation.

Please try deactivating all active plugins and check if that helps. If you added content above your footer using a code snippet, please remove that as well.

As a workaround, please add following code to Enfold theme options > General Styling > Quick CSS field

Something must have gone wrong when you imported the demo because when it is successfully imported, it will look the same as: https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-construction/

Layout builders like Enfold’s Advanced Layout Builder use their own shortcodes; unfortunately, there is no way to simply convert those elements to Gutenberg or other layout builders.

If you are not receiving updates with a valid Personal Token, please use Envato Market plugin: https://www.envato.com/lp/market-plugin/ and insert your Personal Token into plugin options and check for the update in Themes tab

Could you please go to Enfold theme options > Performance and temporarily disable “CSS file merging and compression” option if it is enabled, save theme options and check if that helps?

Could you please go to Enfold theme options > Shop Options > Product gallery and change it to “WooCommerce 3.0 product gallery” option and check if it works for you? With that option, main image would change to the one you clicked in the gallery, instead of hover. Not exactly what you requested but a pretty close one
