I just bought this slow and outdated theme couple of days ago. I am not sure why the developer of the theme forcing people to go to footer.php to be able to remove “powered by Enfold WordPress Theme” on the footer.
I followed everything step they mentioned, and the dam “powered by Enfold WordPress Theme” is still there.
This theme is sucks, they force every single theme to have “powered by Enfold WordPress Theme”. This is an illegal practice, you should allow the user to be able to remove it. I was also forced to use “Reset All Options”, now the theme looks different. If I knew about the theme that is such a pain in the neck, I never bought it.
Please fix the”powered by Enfold WordPress Theme” on my website. Your support is not working.

You are not forced to edit the footer.php file to remove the backlink. You can simply add [nolink] to remove it, as it’s stated in our documentation https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/footer/#copyrights-info.
I’m not sure which steps you followed but please go to Enfold theme options > Footer and insert [nolink] in the Copyright field. Let me know if it doesn’t work.

You can add it to the bottom of the file. We’d recommend you use a child theme (https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/) so the changes will not be overwritten when you update the theme.

I can see Advanced Layout Builder shortcodes on the website you posted but it is not using Enfold theme.
If you temporarily switched to another theme because Enfold is not working on your PHP version, please make sure that you are using Enfold 5.5: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/

I have been doing some testing with WP 6.1 and have found that Enfold is causing a massive slowdown with WP 6.1.
The tell tale sign is that when using Debug Bar or Query Monitor the Object Cache Hits goes from ~10k (normal) to ~100k (crazy).
Page loads go from being 0.7-2s to being 2-5s for simple admin pages.
Switching the theme to Storefront drops Object Cache Hits back down to a normal level and performance is restored. I have tested with WP 6.1 and 6.1.1 as well as Enfold 4.9 through 5.5. As above I have disabled all plugins.
This issue does not happen with with Storefront or any other theme.
Can you please provide some guidance on this issue. I have been a customer for several years however you’re blocking support posts for customers.

For the past 7 years, we have been using your theme and have been pleased with its simplicity and power. We have even purchased over 10 licenses for our clients. However, we are currently facing issues with optimizing its speed. Despite our efforts, we have been unable to achieve a Page Speed Insights score above 60 on mobile, even though we have implemented WebP images. I appreciate your response. However, the solution given did not resolve the problem because for some of the websites we use CDN for other we do not use. Did you look at Pagespeed insights? Do you have an example of Enfold website with a score higher than 90? I am curious, does the Kriesi team not consider this issue important or not prioritize it? I have noticed there are numerous discussions regarding this matter, specifically related to Enfold

We make sure that Enfold is as lightweight as possible and apply performance improvements frequently. Enfold 5.2, 5.3, and 5.4 all had performance improvements (https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/changelog/).

No, such a template isn’t available. However, you can import the Gym demo, go to Enfold theme options > General Layout > Layout > Logo And Menu and select Left or Right sidebar to display the header on the side, like the Photography demo: https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-photography/

Hi, thanks for the answer. I mean the kind of layou there is already on the Gym demo on the blog page. There is the right sidebar in use but I am not able to use that layout on any other page.

If you’d like to display them on certain pages, then you can edit your page and enable the sidebar in the Layout section (https://i.imgur.com/0n51OwY.png).

I’m trying to add the senders email to the reply-to field of the themes forms but I can’t seem to work out how to do this. It makes all enquiries / contact us forms look like they come from me and when replying I have to manually copy and past the customers email.

Please edit the email field in the Contact Form element and make sure that the Form Element Validation is set to Valid E-Mail Address.

Enfold 3.6.1 is a very old version and isn’t compatible with your WordPress and PHP versions. Updating Enfold to the latest version 5.4.1 would fix the issue: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/
Since you are using a very old version, please create a staging copy of your site and update the theme there to make sure nothing breaks.

The latest version of the Enfold theme does not seem to be compatible with PHP 8.0. Everything else within my website is updated but crashed with PHP 8.0. It seems there are quite a few other people having this problem. When will you be addressing it? Its one of the best selling themes with thousands sold, don’t you think you owe it to your customers to update your theme??

Enfold 5.4.1 is compatible with PHP up to version 8.1. Please make sure that the compatibility issue isn’t with one of your plugins by deactivating them all. Then you can activate them one by one to find the culprit.

The theme page does not state that theme is WordPress is 6.1 compliant? Php 8.2 compliant? I see lots of trouble tickets about this version and would like to upgrade with confidence. Can we get a new version this week please? Please advise on these issues. Thank you.

We didn’t add WP 6.1 compatibility on ThemeForest because the last time we checked, it wasn’t available. I’ll ask Kriesi to check once again.
I quickly tested the latest beta version of Enfold with PHP 8.2 and WP 6.2-beta4 and it looks like there are no issues.
Please create a staging copy of your site and update the theme there to be on the safe side.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide an estimate of when the new version will be available.

Wordpress 6.2 out later this month. You did not fully confirm the theme works on Wordpress 6.1. Could you please confirm that? Also based on the number of tickets I can see on this, I can tell that there is a number of errors in current version of that require an immediate bug fix release for stable Worpdress 6/1 this needs to be released this week because we need to upgrade to 6/1/1 prior to 6.2 release date. I have a problem with a page not loading in the ALB. I have 8 months of support remaining, on the last license I purchased, to ask for help on the forum. I am logged in there (https://kriesi.at/support). I can not find any place to open a new topic. In fact when I try to search, I’m getting a Wordpress message: There has been a critical error on this website.
Where can I get support from Kriesi???
BTW, I have tried everything I can think of: restarting, trying 4 different browsers, clearing all cache, shutting off anti-virus, calling my hosting, turning off plugins, resetting my router…

In desperation, I found a similar problem on the Enfold support forum (kriesi.at/support) and commented on someone else’s thread/post/question, because (even though I have paid support account and a login) I can not find anywhere to create a new topic.
I got the following response: “Mike”replied, “Hi,* Please open a new thread with the url to the page in question and an admin login so we can be of more assistance. Best regards, Mike” And sent me a link to the same page, that I already explained had no place to start a new thread. It even came back with WordPress critical error messages when I tried to do a search.
AND THEN he closed the previous thread to new comments.
So, #1) I can’t make a new thread (topic) which I was clear about to begin with. #2) I can not reply to a previous thread. #3) And the email that was sent from “MIke” doesn’t accept replies. #4) There is no phone number or chat for Kriesi here and on their site.
I don’t know what is going on. I’ve always liked using Enfold. If someone there would help me with the support I paid for, I will be happy to revise my comments here.
But as it stands, Kriesi is getting harder and harder to get support from. I am losing HOURS of work, not to mention the frustration of trying to contact them. After several years and several license purchases, it has gotten worse and worse. Again, if I can get just a little bit of support, I will revise this.
This may or may not be an issue with the theme. There are a lot of parts that have to work together correctly. But, support shouldn’t be so dang hard to get. BUYERS BE WARE!

Mike at Kriesi fixed my problem. I’m way behind now, but so glad I haven’t lost the hours of work!
I do wish there was a better way to work with support, though. All a customer can do is create an account, figure out how to get a new thread started (it’s not obvious, you have to search first then catch the link at the top), then…. wait for someone to respond. That is nerve racking when it is an emergency.
That said, I have used Enfold theme for several years and for several clients. I love the theme.
Well, not so fast. I can get the page content to load into ALB. But, when I save it, it is getting corrupted. Back to the support forum….
@Yeet My thread on the support forum is not being replied to. I am not getting support for my issue which is now critical to me.
I have loved using Enfold since 2016. But the longer you use it, the greater the probability you will need tech support. Websites are not a short-term commitment. Customers need to feel they can count on Kriesi, especially when they are paying for the service.
I have composed a full review on the Kriesi support system and how it works. I will be submitting for public review boards in various services shortly.
Also, I recommend customers visit the Enfold Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/kriesi.at) to read the comments under the posts. Take note of how old some of the comments are and the amount of responses from Kriesi.

Not Elementor compatible. I should have read before buying, now I regret it and wasted money because I won’t use it. I bought this for a particular demo, and after importing the demo, I then realized how unforgiving and unversitile this theme is. There is no front-end visual builder so you can see what you’re doing as you make changes. I’ve used Enfold on 2 client’s themes years ago and it hasn’t advanced much. It’s not easy to control the layout of items like Elementor. Too bad.

Tried Shop and Visual Artist demos from GitHub.
avia_demo_files folder mentioned on https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/import-demos/ didn’t exist after the theme and child theme installation so I created it.
What else do I need to do please?

Hi Yigit, I’ve read on various posts that you plan to introduce the functionality to filter images galleries (a very welcome and important function). Is it possible to know approximately when it could be introduced? In the meantime, can you recommend a gallery plugin with this functionality that is fully compatible with enfold?

Unfortunately, there is no easy of implementing this as there are no tags in the gallery.
As for the gallery plugin, I don’t have any recommendations sadly. Enfold users use the NextGen Gallery however I’m not sure if it supports this functionality. Please contact their team and ask if that’s possible.
