I’m developing a wordpress site locally. When I try to activate the Porto theme on a fresh install of wordpress, I get the error: Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Undefined constant “AUTH_KEY”. Is the theme broken? There’s nothing else yet installed on my wordpress website – no plugins, nothing. How do I activate the theme?

Please make sure that your server requirements must meet the latest theme minimum requirements as listed below and try again.

PHP version 7.4.
Memory Limit 256M or higher.
max_execution_time 600 or 1000
memory_limit 256M
max_input_vars 2000
post_max_size 64M
upload_max_filesize 64M

I have the same issue as matod. The patch didn’t work. I’ve had to use CSS to disable the overlay so users can continue using the site. There really should be an option to disable this nag completely if required, it’s not helpful for everyone especially on a site that is already optimised, shouldn’t need to do it after every update. Thank you

First, update porto theme and porto functionality to 6.9.0.

And go to Porto>Patcher, Click ‘refresh patches’ and ‘Apply patches’. If there is no patch file still, please contact us via https://www.portotheme.com/forums/forum/porto-multi-purpose-woocommerce-theme/ with your wp admin credentials.

I resolved it by unchecking all in the Theme option- Speed Optimize Wizard – WPBAKERY & SHORTCODES. It means do not chooose anything there. And then MUST click complie & continue step by step to the end of optimization.

If the above is working for you, do not do anything in the speed optimization wizard.

I mean once the above is working, do not let your customiers touch anything anymore.

Please am having difficulty with the logo setup. my uploaded logo is not displaying well on my site. i have tried different sizes and it kept coming back in a very small size

please can you tell me the proper settings and sizes for the logos? Icons i can understand but the logos are confusing

So after purchasing another licence recently I tried to set up the site, and was met by the API limit issue YET AGAIN (this is my 4th licence and the same issue persists).

So I have raised a support ticket to get this unblocked which will take around 24 hours for a response, and possibly a resolution.

To make matters worse, about an hour after TRYING to activate the theme with a legitimate licence key, I am then presented with a Threat of being reported to Envato and Google WTF P-THEMES!!!!!!

“You are now using an illegal license of Porto that violates to Envato license terms. Your website might be blocked or reported to Google about your illegal license. Please purchase a legal license through Envato.”

I am not using any licence because your API LIMIT is stopping me from using the product I have legitimately purchased!

This needs to be FIXED and swiftly, this is just downright ridiculous!

To say I am pissed off is an understatement. :(

Really sorry for the inconvenience that you faced the issue with working on our theme, but the issue you are facing is because of you tried to use the same license multiple times, and because of doing this, your server IP called our internal server again and again which makes it blocked and we did this because of restrict to use the license multiple times which is against Envato policy as well.

You can use the Custom CSS code as well to change the color of the Mobile Menu Hamburger, Please copy and paste the below given CSS code to Porto >> Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS and check back to your site after clearing the browser cache.

Having the same issue as Matod.- unable to edit products. I’m getting the “You Should Know” Popup where IGNORE does nothing.

MATOD – toggling all the WPBakery Shortcodes OFF on the speed optimise wizard allows you to edit your products,. You just can’t be Optmised and edit Products it seems.

NOW TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE – That annoying pop up on the add products page wont go away – IGNORE BUTTON does not work now since update! Not a caching issue….

We now cant add products because of this stupid pop up we have been asking for months to remove. WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE ON THE PRODUCT PAGES????? FIX ASAP

Thank you for contacting us. I heard you used the full site editing mode. So you can’t use the porto_products shortcode. But don’t worry about that. Porto posts grid widget also provides all functionality as well.

Is there a auto update feature when you put out new updates?

We have One-Click update option of the Theme, Please navigate to Appearance >> Themes and from there you have to click on the update link and it will update the theme for you on your site and then after that you have to update the plugins from Appearance >> Install Plugins.

Yes surely you can, please navigate to Porto >> Template Builder >> Single product and create your own Custom Layouts from there.

We recommended, please do not use the visual composer plugin as we have already removed it from the theme and there is no compaitability with it, and addons for the visual composer only needs for the visual composer plugin, so do not use both of them and only use the single page builder that is WP Bakery in your case.
