Enfold seems to be the opposite of mobile friendly or SEO
WHY is the image that has been generated by Enfold 4 times bigger than the original?
Original: 100 KB | 800×533 px
Enfolds 705px Version in Masonry: 390 KB | 705×470 px
No wonder GTmetrix gives the page a desastrous poor F grade.
The only way to “solve” this desaster seems to be to use “No scaling. Use original dimensions.” in the settings but then you wont have a lightbox.
For people interested in that: A lightbox shows the big image in a modal window when you click on a thumbnail.
With Enfold sizes the thumbnails / small previews are so terribly big that it counteracts the idea of using lightboxes.

I extended the support for this theme but where do i find the login login details for the support forum? I updated the theme but the footer is displayed incorrectly. In the widgets, there is the right information but on the website, there are different widgets in the footer.

Hi, I’m unable to upgrade PHP and need to remain on version 7.4. I attempted to resolve an issue by deactivating all the plugins, then changing the PHP version to 8. However, I encountered the same problem. As a next step, I switched to the Twenty Twenty-Three theme, and it worked fine with the current PHP version

Enfold is compatible with PHP 8. If you are using an older version, that could be the issue.

Envato has updated their API and we implemented those changes in Enfold 4.5. Older versions usually require a manual update first.
If you have an API key in Enfold theme options, you can try installing the Envato Market plugin ( https://www.envato.com/lp/market-plugin/ ) and inserting your key in there to see if you’ll receive the update.
If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to manually update the theme ( https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ ).
After that, you can refer to this post https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and generate a Personal Token to insert in Enfold theme options.

I couldn’t reproduce the issue.
Please go to Enfold theme options > Layout Builder, enable the Show Advanced Options option, and enable the Debug Mode for admins ( https://i.imgur.com/G2kwSYz.png ).
After that, edit your page and copy the shortcode of the Masonry Gallery element and share it with me using Pastebin ( https://pastebin.com/ ).

Hello, my site is quite far back at version 4.4. If we purchase the theme again to get support will we be able to get some download files for previous versions. How I have updated themes previous to this is to jump forward a few versions at a time to ensure the site does not break. I am thinking that we would need to jump to version 4.8 and then version 5.0 and then maybe 5.2 before final jump to current. What I usually do is a manual FTP overwrite of the theme to jump to next version. Is this likely to work or are we too far back. Also would you know what versions of wordpress we should jump to at the same time. We are not as far back in Wordpress as we are in the theme. Would like to know if you concur with this plan to get updated.

Brand new install of Enfold (no plugins yet) and constantly crashing on PHP 8.0, 8.1, and 8.2. I had to roll it back to 7.4 (via PHP selector in CPANEL) as that is the only stable version that works with Enfold. Is there a reason for this? I see others had similar issues and each time the response has been that Enfold works with this version?

Please try deactivating all active plugins and then try updating the theme. If that doesn’t work, you can update Enfold via FTP. You can find the instructions at https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/

Hello – I don’t need a full support system I just want to check. In the last 6-8months did any other users update the theme and suddenly there were Business Hours in the footer? To be precise: in the footer widget Business Hours was added with “Our support Hotline is available 24 Hours a day: (555) 343 456 7891” followed by
- with business hours. A quick google search showed me that other sites using the enfold theme had this exact same addition in the footer. Please advise or contact me directly. I would like to check that this was a theme malfunction and not a hack on the site, thanks!

You need to add a lot more themes/templates as other competitor’s builders like Divi or elementor have way more blocks than you. If would be really nice if you could launch a full new library of theme blocks please as it is way too little to keep going with Enfold unfortunately. We end up spending ages trying to build simple pages. Please take this as a good feedback!
Pen Test Result on my site. Outdated Third Party Packages in Use. During testing, it was found that outdated third party packages are in use in the application, leaving the application exposed to known vulnerabilities. The code is in enfold/config-lottie-animations/assets/lottie-player/dotlottie-player.js?ver5.5 at line 103. The JSZip version is 3.6, where the current version is 3.10.1.

This is related to your server settings. The maximum file upload limit set on your sever seems low.
Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase the following values:- upload_max_filesize 64M
- post_max_size 64M
- max_execution_time 300
- max_input_time 300
I’m getting two ADA errors with this theme:
List items < li > are not contained within < ul >, < ol > or < menu > parent elements.
and
Elements with an ARIA [role] that require children to contain a specific [role] are missing some or all of those required children.
Will this theme be updated to be ADA Compliant to meet WCAG 2.0 standards?
On the Portfolio items there is an option to “Overwrite Portfolio Link” and then “Link portfolio item to external URL”.
Is there a way to have that link open to a new window?
