Hi Uncode. Since the latest update our Oswald heading fonts have all reverted to default when viewed on Firefox desktop or Safari mobile. They are OK in Chrome and Brave browsers on desktop. We have resaved Uncode Theme options. Can you shed any light on why this may have happened please.

Hello. I’ve gone to update the theme plugins on my website and received an error message saying I need to re-enter the purchase code. I deleted the purchase code and re-entered this and it now says I’m using it on more than one site, which I’m not. It was used on the staging domain to begin with and then we switched to the main website domain (not sure if this is the reason why). Please can you help with this.

I followed the instructions by adding the photo-media’s id to the media url from youtube in Media Poster (Image ID), and select poster in the media module. I tried it with your preset wireframe too. At this point I can only think of something that has not been updated (e.g. Uncode Core) or other plugins creating the conflict.

In WordPress there is not an option to control the priority of results, this is all handled by the native WordPress internal queries, so this also happens in Uncode. Probably you can find some hooks online, all this part is native to WordPress.

Hi andyeunhwakim! We are sorry but this is not an option, in fact we never show something like this on our demos. Obviously with the help of a developer you might be able to hide the titles and use the footprint of the element to apply an image with CSS, but here is not something that is immediate or for which there is a ready solution.

regarding the problem with Firefox, we are not aware of it, as you can see from this video https://undsgn.d.pr/v/sOxdDh and we have not received any other reports. Please also try these demo pages https://undsgn.com/uncode/homepages/creative-agency/ + https://undsgn.com/uncode/homepages/creative-digital-agency/ which have videos and the same text effect and let us know, perhaps by recording a video, if you encounter display problems.
For the rest, we do not like to make comparisons with other themes in the marketplace because they cannot be consistent and substantial, but we would like to respond with some objective data. Meanwhile, when we test the sites on GTMetrix, we see that on the page made with Uncode you have inserted many more elements (images in particular) that weigh a lot and have an impact on the rest https://undsgn.d.pr/i/JxuguA while the page made with the other theme has much less stuff https://undsgn.d.pr/i/zd9N7v
What’s more, with Uncode the videos have an entry effect to avoid abrupt jumps that the other theme does not have, so there are certainly differences in the display, but they have nothing to do with loading. What’s more, I would like to point out that your server is often unable to load the entire video. Most of the time it crashes at around 5-6mb, leaving it frozen as you can see in the screenshot above. And why is the loading procedere of vidoes on mobile devices significant faster as on desktop computers? All about too many images and other impacts may be right, BUT on mobile devices the video (same images, same content) is loading much faster WITH or WITHOUT fast internet connection. So why is there a significant differencce?
Hello again, sorry for the issue with the text, we kept looking for a fault in the inlet and overlooked the jump in the outlet. You’re right, and we immediately tried to figure out how to fix it.
As for mobile performance, we don’t see any significant difference with our measurement tools, to be honest. Keep in mind that the cache on mobile devices is much more persistent than on desktops, so if you want to test, you always have to clear the entire cache. If you have data with timeframes, we would be happy to consider it.

That’s true, but when it comes to first loading (new video version f.e.), the difference is nevertheless significant.
BTW freezing of video only in Firefox appears – try Chorme, Edge or Opera (yes, all have Chromium engine …) does not have issues loading the video. AND the Salient example (it’s only an example on the same server I only want to compare the behavior) doens’t have it. So I think, that is a little Uncode issue with Firefox 117.01. Keep in mind, that former Firefox verion doesn’t have that issue!
I get a frozen video almost every time on every browser, every time I empty the cache, even when I load the video alone: https://undsgn.d.pr/i/RVlAE5 Take a look at how long it takes. Maybe this is good news, though, because if the problem is the video, it simply needs some adjustments for the web. First of all – I’ve figuered out what happens in Firefox. The plugin OMGF Pro (loading Google Fonts local) is interfering, so if I deactivate it, the issue is gone. Maybe you have experience with that plugin (a non Pro version is free and causes the same issue – I’ve tried both).
I’ve forgotten to install the Child Theme and made some custom changes in Theme Optinons but nothing else. So if I want to host Google fonts manually (like described on your documentations) – is it now possible to activate still the child theme and don’t loose my Theme Options? Maybe export settings and layouts and import into child theme without getting issues? Or are there any possible issues expected? I ask, because the site is online and although I have backups with SQL database snaphots included I want to decrease possible risks …

unfortunately we don’t know OMGF Pro, maybe it has its own styles that interfere with our animations. In any case, you can activate a child theme without worrying about the Theme Options (we are talking about these theme options: https://undsgn.d.pr/i/CBIitC ) The things saved here are stored in the database. However, it is always advisable to make a regular backup (your idea of exporting settings and layouts is not bad either, just in case), but activating the child theme does not affect the Theme Options. Having backups at hand will protect you from possible temporary malfunctions that could affect the proper functioning of the site: having a restore point is essential in these cases.

unfortunatelly since the last update the backround video is not playing anymore in the chrome browser (mobile and desktop)(already cleared the cache) – but is surprisingly working in edge… Any thoughts how to solve this problem? All worked fine till the update.

Hi Lhami! There is no limit to the Media that you can add you probably have a server issue that prevents you from doing this. If you create a new gallery with fewer images, does this work? If the answer is yes, this means that there is some error part server when you try to upload additional images. To check if this is the case you should open Chrome Developers Tools and see if there is any error in Console (probably 403). At the moment, the only solution to add these images that I can think of is to copy the image ID ( https://undsgn.d.pr/i/RRpTPD ) and paste it into the shortcode where you see the list of the other IDs ( https://undsgn.d.pr/i/uZ88wL ).
Anyone having issues getting mobile user counts in Google Analytics? When I test by looking at “Realtime” it only shows my Desktop use. I tested three other sites with the same devices and this was the only one that didn’t work.
