I really like your theme SOBER and I’d like to buy it, but I have a few questions to ask you: 1/ On the home page, there is a succession of photos with a “shop now” link on several images. I’d like to know if it’s possible for some of these links to lead to my portfolio page and others to my shop page. Is it also possible to change the “shop now” text to “view portfolio”?
2/ On the V2 home page, there’s a grid of images just on the scrolling photos. I’d like to know if it’s possible to create a mix of links and images, some leading to the shop as in the demo and others leading to certain images in my portfolio.
3/ On the product page, are there different product variability options for the customer, i.e. “choose the colour” or “choose the model with illustration number 1 or number 2 to number 3 or number 4 etc?

1. The product grid can only shows products from the shop section. You will need to add another grid for portfolio items.
2. On the home v2, you can create a mix of links and images in the images grid. It is possible to set the link for each item manually. So you can point them to portfolio and products.
3. On the product page, you can offer different product variations to your customers. This functionality is a default feature of WooCommerce, and you can add as many variations as needed.
Hi, I never purchased this theme but it is saying my support for this item has expired. I am confused lol. But I have a question, is it possible to add a hamburger icon in the header, that opens with customer content inside of it? Does any of your options offer this?

It stops me from editing the text… when I open “setting text block” it doesn’t let me view the text. I even tried to create a new test installation of Wordpress with the Sober theme and WPBakery, but nothing… it doesn’t display the text.. suggestions?
There is also another oddity about the Slider Revolution plugin, it doesn’t let me change the colors, both of the text and of other elements.
What can I do?

1. Unfortunately, our theme does not support customizing your own layout for Single Product and Shop page/Products List. You can only choose from a set of pre-designed layouts that we have created for you. We hope you can find one that suits your needs and preferences.
2. You can edit the header and footer of our theme in two ways. First, you can select from different pre-designed header layouts that we have provided in the theme options. Second, you can customize the header template (manually) in a child theme, if you have some coding skills and want more flexibility. However, we do not recommend modifying the core files of the theme, as this may cause compatibility issues with future updates.
3. Yes, you can change the font and other typography options of our theme. You can access these options in the theme customizer, where you can choose from hundreds of Google fonts, adjust the font size, line height, letter spacing, and more. You can also change the typography for different elements, such as headings, paragraphs, menus, buttons, etc.

Hi, installed last version3.4.14 we have advice: Your theme (Sober Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. You may need to update these files to ensure compatibility with your current version of WooCommerce. Fixing Tips:
Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available, contact the theme author to inquire about compatibility with your current WooCommerce version. If you copied a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and reapply the changes.
BUT we don’t have any change on child theme…

I am building some custom category pages (Elementor) with products arranged manually as one scrolls. I ve managed to add product price dynamically for each product so it changes with currency switcher ..but I also want to use the theme’s Wishlist element (and not use another plugin, since the theme has one nicely incorporated). Is there a shortcode I could use ..or a way to add it as a widget accessible in Elementor ..so one could add each (manually set up) product to the wishlist?

Yes, you can pass the product ID to the shortcode. It should looks like this:
[wcboost_wishlist_button product_id=”xxx”]
This format specifically, causes a stack of critical issues on the website and breaks elementor editor. Had to deactivate Wishlist plugin to delete the shortcode from the page and save it again.
Also tried:
[wcboost_wishlist_button post_id=”xxx”]
[wcboost_wishlist_button id=”xxx”]
But these had no effect at all.
Is there another solution you could recommend? There must be a way for WCBoost to work as a button for building custom templates ..but if not, would it be possible to use another wishlist plugin seamlessly with Sober?
The correct shortcode should be:
[wcboost_wishlist_button product_id=”xxx”]
You can replace the “xxx” with the real product id.

Of course I did replace xxx with an existing product id. If you have tried the shortcode like this and it works, then it must be localised to my installation.

Just wanted to let you know that we all love the theme and appreciate the support.
After the latest version update of WooCommerce (plugin), critical errors appear on the website with the Sober theme, for example: when trying to adjust widgets or go to the Customizer. Version 8.4.0.
I have updated the PHP version, all other plugins, deactivated all plugins and the issue reoccurs. I have tested the latest version of WooCommerce on another site that I operate and the issue is not present with other themes.

For context, the latest version of WordPress is also installed (6.4.2).
Have also tried rolling back WooCommerce to 8.3.x and 8.2.x without fortune.

Note: That I have also tried clearing the cache on the server, WP installation and browser without success. Altering the PHP version of the host server as not rectified the situation either. It happens with the Sober theme, and customized child theme on Sober.

- Most recent WordPress version. Version 6.4.2
- Most recent Sober version. Version 3.2.5.
- Most recent WooCommerce version. Version 8.4.0
- Any version of PHP 7.4 and higher.
Looks like there are conflict in plugins. You can follow these steps to test this issue.
1. Go to Tools > Site Health and check the report of WordPress to see if there is any missing module.
2. Check the PHP version and check plugins if there is any plugin that doesn’t support the PHP version.
You should take a look at this document to read more about server requirements of WordPress. PHP 8 is not fully supported.

I have run through all of the preliminary checks to narrow down the issue. It is a clashing between Sober Theme and WooCommerce directly.
As soon as WooCommerce is inactivated, the Customizer works. So the issue is with the interface between the two.
Unfortunately I no longer have support on this theme to submit a ticket. I have tried to.

Hello, I took on a website that another developer has built. The theme has a valid license but it’s not on my profile.
I got theme message in the dashboard: “Your theme (Sober Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of Woocommerce.”
The parent theme is up to date with the latest version. I have no idea if the previous developer customized some WooCommerce templates.
What do you advise me to do?

Thank you for reaching out to us. Looks like that developer had customized some WooCommerce in the child theme. You should find and compare the template files in the child theme with the original files in the WooCommerce plugins and update code if necessary.

There is another way, you can simply delete the plugin, then go to Appearance > Install Plugins to get the latest version.
