Hi, installed last version3.4.14 we have advice: Your theme (Sober Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. You may need to update these files to ensure compatibility with your current version of WooCommerce. Fixing Tips:
Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available, contact the theme author to inquire about compatibility with your current WooCommerce version. If you copied a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and reapply the changes.
BUT we don’t have any change on child theme…
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. The WooCommerce plugin has just released a new update. Our team is working on the theme and will release a new version to update included templates soon.
Hi
Greetings and Happy New Year:)
I am building some custom category pages (Elementor) with products arranged manually as one scrolls. I ve managed to add product price dynamically for each product so it changes with currency switcher ..but I also want to use the theme’s Wishlist element (and not use another plugin, since the theme has one nicely incorporated). Is there a shortcode I could use ..or a way to add it as a widget accessible in Elementor ..so one could add each (manually set up) product to the wishlist?
Kind thanks
Hello,
Thanks for reaching out to us. You can use this shortcode of the recommended plugin to display wishlist.
[wcboost_wishlist]
Thanks for the reply. Although, what I asked is to add a product to the wishlist – not the shortcode to show the wishlist.
Is that possible..?
Basically I am asking if there is an ‘add to wishlist’ button shortcode.
Oh, for the “add to wishlist” button, you can use this shortcode:
[wcboost_wishlist_button]
It looks promising, but I tried it and it has no effect.
How does it pull the id for a specific product? Does it work with dynamic tags? Can I enter the post id within the shortcode somehow?
I cant find any documentation about it. Contacted WCBoost as well, no reply yet.
Yes, you can pass the product ID to the shortcode. It should looks like this:
[wcboost_wishlist_button product_id=”xxx”]
This format specifically, causes a stack of critical issues on the website and breaks elementor editor. Had to deactivate Wishlist plugin to delete the shortcode from the page and save it again.
Also tried:
[wcboost_wishlist_button post_id=”xxx”]
[wcboost_wishlist_button id=”xxx”]
But these had no effect at all.
Is there another solution you could recommend? There must be a way for WCBoost to work as a button for building custom templates ..but if not, would it be possible to use another wishlist plugin seamlessly with Sober?
The correct shortcode should be:
[wcboost_wishlist_button product_id=”xxx”]
You can replace the “xxx” with the real product id.
Please open a ticket on the support site and provide the admin login credentials. Our team will help you check the issue.
Thank you
Of course I did replace xxx with an existing product id. If you have tried the shortcode like this and it works, then it must be localised to my installation.
About opening a ticket ..the support for my license has expired. I thought it would be easier to ask and fix.
We tested the shortcode and it worked properly. Perhaps there is a problem with your installation.
Please use this contact form and send us the admin login credentials to your website. Our developer will help you check this issue.

I’d like that in my related product of each product would shown only in stock products, but not out of stock ones.
Hello,
Thank you for your question. Yes, it is possible. WooCommerce has an option to hide out-of-stock products.
I need to not enable this function, and not show it only in this block
In this case, you will need to use a small custom code to customize the related products section. If you need, our developer will help you. You can open a ticket on the support site, our team will check your website and provide the custom code you need.
Thank you
Just wanted to let you know that we all love the theme and appreciate the support.
After the latest version update of WooCommerce (plugin), critical errors appear on the website with the Sober theme, for example: when trying to adjust widgets or go to the Customizer. Version 8.4.0.
I have updated the PHP version, all other plugins, deactivated all plugins and the issue reoccurs. I have tested the latest version of WooCommerce on another site that I operate and the issue is not present with other themes.
Hope this can be resolved! Thank you.
For context, the latest version of WordPress is also installed (6.4.2).
Have also tried rolling back WooCommerce to 8.3.x and 8.2.x without fortune.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. Could you please share some screenshots of the problem?
Thank you for taking such great care of your past and current clients!
Note: That I have also tried clearing the cache on the server, WP installation and browser without success. Altering the PHP version of the host server as not rectified the situation either. It happens with the Sober theme, and customized child theme on Sober.
Here are a couple of screenshots as to where the error comes from, and the resulted error screen.
https://ibb.co/XCqfWnC https://ibb.co/6rvTfvmPlease let me know if you would like further details.
- Most recent WordPress version. Version 6.4.2
- Most recent Sober version. Version 3.2.5.
- Most recent WooCommerce version. Version 8.4.0
- Any version of PHP 7.4 and higher.
Looks like there are conflict in plugins. You can follow these steps to test this issue.
1. Go to Tools > Site Health and check the report of WordPress to see if there is any missing module.
2. Check the PHP version and check plugins if there is any plugin that doesn’t support the PHP version.
You should take a look at this document to read more about server requirements of WordPress. PHP 8 is not fully supported.
https://make.wordpress.org/hosting/handbook/server-environment/3. Enables WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG following this document and check the log file.
https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/debugging-in-wordpress/If you can open a ticket on the support site, our developers will help you test this issues.
Thank you
I have run through all of the preliminary checks to narrow down the issue. It is a clashing between Sober Theme and WooCommerce directly.
As soon as WooCommerce is inactivated, the Customizer works. So the issue is with the interface between the two.
Unfortunately I no longer have support on this theme to submit a ticket. I have tried to.
Thank you.
Thank you for your feedback! Our developer has checked the problem but couldn’t replicate the issue. As you can see in this screenshot, the Customizer is working well with WooCommerce and the Sober theme activated.
https://prnt.sc/QJTrq3BFH38tAre you using a child theme? This issue can be a problem with custom code in the child theme.
You can also check if the Sober theme is up-to-date. At this moment, the latest version is 3.4.13. You should update the theme to ensure the best compatibility.
You can always reach out to us via this contact form:

Hello friend. Thank you for the great support! You reminded me of something to alter, as a test, and it worked! Great support! Great theme!
Go buy Sober Theme!!!!!
So glad that we could help! It’s awesome that the change worked out for you.
Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything else, and thanks for the kind words about the theme!
Hello, I took on a website that another developer has built. The theme has a valid license but it’s not on my profile.
I got theme message in the dashboard: “Your theme (Sober Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of Woocommerce.”
The parent theme is up to date with the latest version. I have no idea if the previous developer customized some WooCommerce templates.
What do you advise me to do?
Thank you in advance!
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Looks like that developer had customized some WooCommerce in the child theme. You should find and compare the template files in the child theme with the original files in the WooCommerce plugins and update code if necessary.
Bug Report no Header Text Color Change – Version: 3.4.13
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. Besides the default option for header text color in Customizer, the theme also support changing this text color per page. Perhaps this option for your homepage is set to another color. Please edit your page and find the option for header text color in the Display Settings box.
You can check this document for more information:

Hello! I would like to buy your theme but I wanted to know if it supports custom fonts in the customizer. I want to install just only one custom font, obviously with different weights (regular, medium, bold…). Thanks for the reply.
Hello,
Thanks for your question. Yes, this theme support adding custom fonts to the Customizer with custom code.
In the documentation of the theme, we have a detailed guide to help you adding custom fonts, you can check it here:
https://docs.uix.store/sober/#/customize/add-custom-fontsThanks for your answer. But the three options only contemplate doing it in the child theme ??
Yes, you have to do it with a child theme.
Hello, I installed the latest update. When I click on the new products best sellers buttons on the woocommerce store side, the categories are reload again

https://uix.ticksy.com/Hi, I have updated to the latest version theme and wpbakery. however the theme is still asking to update 7.2 to 7.2.0. I could update wpbakery by deleting it first, else the system was updating wpbakery but was not allowing me to activate it
Hello,
Thanks for your feedback. This is an incorrect message. You can ignore it and activate the plugin. The version 7.2 is the latest version already.
We will release a new update for the theme to fix this issue soon.
Hello, Would it be possible to have the wpbakery page building update please?
Hello,
The WPBakery Page Builder is updated within the recent update of the theme. You can update your theme, then go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update this plugin.
Thank you
Thank you for your feedback. However, when I try to update I get an error message. The URL provided is not valid. I currently have version 6.13.0 and want to upgrade to version 7.2.0.
There is another way, you can simply delete the plugin, then go to Appearance > Install Plugins to get the latest version.
Ok great, it worked. Thank you very much for your reactivity!
It’s great to know you solved this. If you need further assistance, please feel free to open a ticket on the support site.
Thank you

Hello there, I have downloaded the latest version of the theme, but there are the Elementor plugin is not there. Can you help? Where I can find it?
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. You can go to Appearance > Install Plugins to install all plugins that the theme recommends.
If you meant the Elementor Pro, it is not bundled in the theme. However, you can use the free version to design the theme.
Hey! When WPBakery v7.x is planned? I’ve regular license, I updated theme to the latest version but WPBakery is still v6.13
Hello,
The latest version of WPBakery Page Builder is already bundled in the theme package. From the admin dashboard, you can go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update this plugin.
Thank you
@uixthemes I already have installed it v6.13, but I can’t update it, it says “license activation is required”. I could not find it in Appearance > Install Plugins. Please see screenshots: 1. https://i.ibb.co/M5W1BvZ/11111.png 2. https://i.ibb.co/XCrx17y/2222222.png
Hello,
You can download the full package of the theme from ThemeForest to get the plugin file.
With premium plugins like WPBakery and Revolution Slider, you can’t update theme directly. You can check this document for more details.

is there a way to convert all wp-bakery page to elementor? since wp-bakery making the page slower?
Please advise, thanks
Hello,
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, there is no solution to convert WPBakery pages to Elementor. You will need to re-create them.
Hi, what is the script file name in theme use for Preloader using? I try to find it and exclude this file while I’m optimizing and compress all JS to make site load faster.
Please help let me know Thanks
Hello,
Thanks for your message! The preloader script is included in the js/script.js file. We don’t put it in a separate file because it’s a small piece of code.
Hi there, When we enable reviews on this theme they work well when using woocommerce products with the standard Gutenburg editor, however when you enable Elementor to make a product page more in-depth, the review area/tab is removed and you’re unable to leave or view reviews anymore. How can we still use reviews whilst using Elementor please? Thanks
Hello,
When you edit the product page with Elementor builder, the layout of this page is totally controlled by Elementor. You may need to add the widget/section for reviews manually.
You can check this document for more details about the rating widget of Elementor for WooCommerce.

1 license is enough for my multiple sites?
Hello,
One purchase of Sober allows you to use the theme on one finished site. If you need to use it on a second site, it requires you to make a second license purchase.
You can check this documentation for more information:
https://docs.uix.store/sober/#/getting-started/sober-licenseThank you
Hello, I’m trying to include the ‘Shipping phone number’ in the addresses section. Email and phone are only showed in ‘Billing information’ but I need it for delivering purposes.
Is there any way to achieve that? Thanks
Hello,
You can try this plugin to add custom field to the checkout form, and add the field for phone number.

good plugin, thanks.
Hi, how can I resize SOBER-BLOG-GRID? (360×240) to my custom size?
Please advice
Let me know what hook or action to edit this config?
Hello,
You can try this code snippet in the child theme to change the image size:
add_action( 'after_setup_theme', function() {
add_image_size( 'sober-blog-grid', 360, 240, true );
}, 20 );
Thank you
Hello,
We’re afraid it is hard to achieve something like that website with the Sober theme. You will need to customize the theme’s template to achieve that design and functionalities.
