Hi, How can i make a special banner for every category, for example: i have created a page named Categories sorts all categories only, and for example when user click on a category “Hyundai” that go to shop page that sort all Hyundai models only. Now i want to add a special banner in top of this category “Hyundai” page only, And the same with “Ford”, and all other categories..

Hello, @Organd,

Please navigate to Porto >> Template Builder >> Product Archives and create the new template from there: https://pasteboard.co/xByWcgs0lCCM.png After that edit it with page builder and use the “Type Builder Archive” element, and set it as per your requirements: https://pasteboard.co/z6KTzh8gYiH9.png

Then you can set any banner or content on that template as well by using any element: https://pasteboard.co/MCmkj4zJhfDS.png

Finally set the condition to show/work that template on the particular category: https://pasteboard.co/zYLNiKcdh9H5.png & https://pasteboard.co/g3IEUxAgbZoT.png

It should work accordingly: https://pasteboard.co/gIbdjAMSgrQT.png

For Elementor, please follow the same steps.

Excellent, thanks

You’re Most Welcome!! :)

Hello, if I go to Theme Options > WooCommerce > Product Archives, it doesn’t show the “show more options” button. How can I make it visible?

Hello, @am-linkweb,

We have removed those “show more options” button in our latest version of the theme, because we already added those options in the widgets/elements that we used in our theme. So you can easily modify it with page builder.

I have installed Porto theme, demo shop-6 and the 3D model viewer plugin, but the 3D model viewer is not showing on the product page. It is showing on the Twenty Twenty theme. What can I do to show the 3D model viewer on the product page?

Question, is there anyway to add a e-mail captcha eller liknande. Mailen spammar if that not is included?

Hello, @Mrnicoo,

Our theme doesn’t include this feature by default, and it’s not directly associated with our theme. It’s part of the standard functionality provided by WooCommerce and WordPress. To achieve this, you may want to consider using a third-party plugin that aligns better with your needs, such as the one available at: https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-captcha/

hi, how can I create a new sidebar so I can add a separate sidebar per product category on the archive page?

Hello, @dennygoosensen,

Please navigate to WP-Dashboard >> Appearance >> Sidebar and create the new sidebar from there: https://postimg.cc/dh67LGN5

Then that sidebar will appear under Appearance >> Widgets, and you can add the widgets under it as per your requirements.

Hi, thanks for your reply. and how can I add a sidebar to a specific category?

Hello, @dennygoosensen,

To customize sidebars for specific categories, you’ll need to generate distinct layouts for each category.

Here’s how:

1. Go to your Dashboard, then navigate to Porto, Template Builder, and select Product Archive.
2. Create a new layout by following this link: https://postimg.cc/V5tsS0ky .
3. Once the editor opens, simply add the sidebar widget into the editor, as shown here: https://postimg.cc/rzyXTdRC .
4. Choose the sidebar you desire.
5. Customize the content as needed, then save the settings.
6. Apply this layout to the particular category using conditions, as shown here: https://postimg.cc/NKKHL7L6 .

This setup will allow the specified sidebar to appear on the desired category.

Hello, I’ve changed Homepage name to “الرئيسية” , but Breadcrumbs still show it “Home” with hover text “Go to Home page”. How to change that please? https://pasteboard.co/tM12mHdggtyw.png

Hello, @Organd,

You need to convert/translate it into the language files for the theme; you can utilize the Loco Translate plugin for this task.

Please use the Loco translate plugin on your site. After installing the plugin please Navigate to Loco >> Themes >> Porto >> Edit the translation which you are using for the site >> Click the Sync button >> Find the words and add the translation for them and save it.

Also, please Navigate to Loco >> Plugins >> Woocommerce >> Edit the translation which you are using for the site >> Click the Sync button >> Find the words and add the translation for them and save it.

Also, please Navigate to Loco >> Plugins >> Porto-functionality >> Edit the translation which you are using for the site >> Click the Sync button >> Find the words and add the translation for them and save it.

https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/

Note:

1. Custom (recommended)
2. This is Loco's protected folder under "wp-content/languages/loco/" which is safe from automatic updates and provides priority over the above locations.
https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/manual/msginit?utm_medium=plugin&utm_campaign=wp&utm_source=admin&utm_content=plugin-msginit#order

If this folder doesn’t exist you may need to create it and ensure it has the correct permissions.

Hello! Please guide me on how to improve the product thumbnail image quality, I find it very blurry, this affects my customers.

Here is the photo it shows: https://ibb.co/9Tf1Y8j

Thank you!

Hello, @alexpeterlong,

We recommend a minimum size of 800×800 pixels, width and height. This renders well for the main/featured image, catalog image and thumbnail image. Images that are larger are even better, especially if you’re selling items with great detail.

Please can you work through the below support guide and see if any of the suggestions provided there help resolve the issue you are facing: https://woocommerce.com/document/fixing-blurry-product-images/

Hello, I would like to know if the long description can be separated from the Additional information tab.

I tried with the hook they have integrated but now I have 2 long descriptions, haha.

Hello, @mca200189,

If you’ve attempted using the hook and successfully obtained your desired outcome, but find that it’s displaying two lengthy descriptions, you can attempt hiding one through Custom CSS. If you encounter difficulties, please provide screenshots of both long descriptions along with the page URL, and I’ll assist you further.

Hi, does your theme has “upcoming sale countdown” timer?

Hello, @marko_spic,

If you choose not to put your products on sale, the default sales countdown timer won’t function since it’s directly tied to that action.

Else, you can use the Custom Layout for the single products and set the “Countdown element” as per your requirements.

Navigate to Porto >> Template Builder >> Single Product.
Create/Edit the Custom Single Product Layout.
Use the element as per your requirements.

Please refer to these screenshots: https://pasteboard.co/QIWnUcStZ46p.png & https://pasteboard.co/IrAYNQwyOmJY.png

OR you can try with some third party plugins as well that better suits your requirements, like: https://yithemes.com/themes/plugins/yith-woocommerce-product-countdown/

Hi again, i started with plugin: https://codecanyon.net/item/sales-countdown-timer/25636260

When we entered sale period, our site started crashing. It was confict between plugin and theme. So, it would be great if i could turn of “sale” on Porto. Can you assist on that?

Hello, @marko_spic,

In our theme, you can set the sale price by editing the product, as I elaborated in detail here: https://themeforest.net/comments/30636780 . If you’ve already removed this feature, our theme doesn’t offer alternative sale functionality. Customizing code may be necessary, and if you’re interested in our paid customization services, please fill out the form here: https://www.portotheme.com/customization/

Thank you for your understanding.

I would like to use a different graphic for the scrolling “intro-svg” on the homepage. Where in the CSS can I edit what image is called for that class? Thank you!

Hello, @SR20DETg20girl,

Allow me to clarify: The custom SVG is currently positioned within the initial section of the page. To modify or substitute it, you can conveniently do so by editing the page through the page builder plugin. Once you access the editor, navigate to the style settings tab of the first section. For a clearer understanding, refer to this screenshot: https://postimg.cc/7f9vqmpx. After altering or replacing the SVG, save the settings and revisit your site after clearing the browser cache.

Thank you! That was perfect. I had looked all through the page builder settings and for some reason did not see that one option.

You’re Most Welcome!!
No problem, We are always here to help you :)

Why there is not simply an options in theme options panel for just DISABLE Popup widow and also Top header, Instead of go to builder and edit or unpublish these options?

Hello, @Organd,,

If the margin is being set directly from the element, you should edit the element to remove it. Alternatively, if you need to override the margin using Custom CSS, you can do so by following these steps:

Copy the provided CSS code.
Navigate to Porto >> Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS.
Paste the copied CSS code into the Custom CSS field.
After completing these steps, remember to clear your browser cache and then check your site to see if the issue has been resolved. Here's the CSS code to be used:
.porto-sicon-box .porto-sicon-top .porto-icon {
    margin-left: 0px !important;
}

This code will override any existing margin-left property applied to elements with the specified classes.

Hi, for my WooCommerce store I want a image gallery per variation. I tried multiple plugins (free and premium) but they made the website very slow. Do you recommend one that works well with your theme?

Hello, @dennygoosensen,

In essence, WooCommerce plugin manages variation images by default, permitting only one image per variation. Unfortunately, neither the theme nor the WooCommerce plugin settings support adding multiple images as a gallery for variations. Exploring third-party plugins from the WordPress market that meet your needs is advisable, though we refrain from recommending specific ones to avoid potential conflicts and unexpected site issues for our customers.

I have a problem with blurry product images for woocommerce. I upload large crisp images (2x the size of the themes image) and I have changed the size on customize> woocommerce > product images to reflect the proper size according to woocommerce. I have also regenerated images and still have blurry images. To try and troubleshoot I switched themes and the images were sharp like they were supposed to be. What am I missing? I need help

It sounds like you’ve taken some good initial steps in troubleshooting the blurry product image issue in WooCommerce.

Child Theme Modifications: If you’ve made modifications to your theme’s code or are using a child theme, double-check to ensure that these modifications aren’t affecting the rendering of product images.

Test Different Image Sizes: Experiment with different image sizes in WooCommerce settings to see if using larger or smaller dimensions makes a difference in image quality.

Browser Cache: Clear your browser cache or try viewing the website in an incognito/private browsing window to rule out any caching issues.

Server Configuration: In rare cases, server misconfigurations or restrictions could affect image quality. Check with your hosting provider to see if there are any server-side settings that could be causing the problem.

Debugging Tools: Utilize browser developer tools to inspect the image elements on your website and see if there are any CSS rules or attributes affecting image quality.

Third-Party Plugins: Disable any third-party plugins that are not essential for WooCommerce functionality to see if one of them is conflicting with your theme.

Please be informed that the settings for product images are managed through the WooCommerce plugin, rather than our theme. For detailed guidance, we recommend reviewing the following resources: https://woocommerce.com/document/fixing-blurry-product-images/

Hello, my website is installed on localhost. As seen in the pictures below, when I click on the services link on the home page, the https://sw-themes.com/porto_dummy/services/automotive/ page goes to. How can I fix the problem? Can you please help me? https://paste.pics/331ec1ef57d045ddf7ec0a2cc611a0a1 https://paste.pics/4baab34576e95c3f2e23ecb651dde351

Hello, @ercanm,

In the demo, the services showcase layout is custom-made using the template builder. To edit it, go to Dashboard >> Porto >> Template Builder >> Post Types. From there, you can modify the service layout using the Gutenberg editor. Once the editor is open, you can delete the static link and save your changes. This should resolve the issue. For guidance on editing post-type blocks, refer to this article: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/type-builder-elements/
