I have a problem with blurry product images for woocommerce. I upload large crisp images (2x the size of the themes image) and I have changed the size on customize> woocommerce > product images to reflect the proper size according to woocommerce. I have also regenerated images and still have blurry images. To try and troubleshoot I switched themes and the images were sharp like they were supposed to be. What am I missing? I need help

It sounds like you’ve taken some good initial steps in troubleshooting the blurry product image issue in WooCommerce.

Child Theme Modifications: If you’ve made modifications to your theme’s code or are using a child theme, double-check to ensure that these modifications aren’t affecting the rendering of product images.

Test Different Image Sizes: Experiment with different image sizes in WooCommerce settings to see if using larger or smaller dimensions makes a difference in image quality.

Browser Cache: Clear your browser cache or try viewing the website in an incognito/private browsing window to rule out any caching issues.

Server Configuration: In rare cases, server misconfigurations or restrictions could affect image quality. Check with your hosting provider to see if there are any server-side settings that could be causing the problem.

Debugging Tools: Utilize browser developer tools to inspect the image elements on your website and see if there are any CSS rules or attributes affecting image quality.

Third-Party Plugins: Disable any third-party plugins that are not essential for WooCommerce functionality to see if one of them is conflicting with your theme.

Please be informed that the settings for product images are managed through the WooCommerce plugin, rather than our theme. For detailed guidance, we recommend reviewing the following resources: https://woocommerce.com/document/fixing-blurry-product-images/

Hi ! I don’t understand, when I modify the color or size of the paragraph or body fonts in the theme options, it doesn’t apply them, the font remains the same… It’s frustrating to have access to options and it does nothing

I go to the porto option > skin > typography

Then i change color, size etc… i save and nothing hapen , i need allways to go in the ftp erase the porto_style directory then save again my changed in option > skin > typography and then the change appear in front end ! Imagine how many time we need to do that when trying to search wich font family are size or color we want …. I have read other with the same probleme and you said that is normal cause of cache or i don’t know. But it’s not possible to work with an option panel like that !

Hello, my website is installed on localhost. As seen in the pictures below, when I click on the services link on the home page, the https://sw-themes.com/porto_dummy/services/automotive/ page goes to. How can I fix the problem? Can you please help me? https://paste.pics/331ec1ef57d045ddf7ec0a2cc611a0a1 https://paste.pics/4baab34576e95c3f2e23ecb651dde351

Hello, @ercanm,

In the demo, the services showcase layout is custom-made using the template builder. To edit it, go to Dashboard >> Porto >> Template Builder >> Post Types. From there, you can modify the service layout using the Gutenberg editor. Once the editor is open, you can delete the static link and save your changes. This should resolve the issue. For guidance on editing post-type blocks, refer to this article: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/type-builder-elements/

Hi, I have pre buy question. In standard version Elementor adds data-elementor-device-mode attribute to the tag. I use it very often in my projects. In theme TheGem (I’ve used in last projects) this attribute is adding. In Your’s sample demo pages I can not see it (I am looking into HTML code of page). Is it option to enable it (to adding this attribute by Elementor) or is Your theme working in different way and this option is unavaiable? I want to buy Your theme for create shop page, because it is very good rating but I need to know if I can enable “elementor-device-mode” attribute auto adds by Elementor.

Hello, @ramstudio1,

First of all, thanks for showing your interest in Porto WordPress :)

Yes absolutely, Elementor Editor allows you to customize your design for different devices. Its the default functionality of Elementor page builder. Please read Elementor’s official documentation on Responsive Editing here: https://elementor.com/help/mobile-editing/

It should be helpful for you.

Hello, @adrstars,

The search functionality in the Menu doesn’t support live search on mobile devices. If you want to enable live search on mobile, consider displaying the search bar in the header for mobile users, ensuring it supports live search functionality.

Hi Porto,

I see you have a lot predefined layouts but I am just looking for a layout of a single product. Can you indicate me where to find? or maybe there aren’t for single product?

thanks,

Hello, @Joaquim_,

In the latest version of the theme, the single product layout is created custom from the template builder.

Navigate to the Dashboard >> Porto >> Template builder >> Single Product >> From there you can easily create a new or edit the existing layout using the page builder you are using on the site. Kindly refer to the articles below to understand how to use the single product builder. https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/how-to-create-custom-product-layout-using-elementor/ and https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/single-product-builder-elements/

Hello porto team.

I have a question, I changed the site to full site edith mode, but I have a question, how can I make a product carousel for a specific product category, in the previous version I could do it with one of the WPBakery Page Builder elements but in this mode doesn’t let me only show discounted, featured and recently viewed products.

Hello, @mca200189,

Using Full Site Editing mode you can easily create a product carousel for a specific category using the PORTO Post Grid widget.

Simply edit the page/post or any block you want on the site when the editor opens you can simply add the PORTO Post Grid widget.

In the widget settings, you can choose the layout to slider and then choose the specific category as per your need. Check this article to understand how to use the Porto Post Grid widget: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/porto-post-grid-widget/

Also, check this screenshot to understand better: https://postimg.cc/qzWYnrnb and https://postimg.cc/ZW3QxQxT

Hello, thank you very much for responding, I can do this method that you show me without any problem.

But it is not the one I need, in the previous version there is one called “Porto product category”, with which I can show all the products of the category that I indicate.

That is the one I need, because if I use the one you are suggesting, it makes a carousel but of the categories that I have in my store, not of the products of the category that I am indicating.

Hello, @mca200189,

You can show the products as well as the particular product category using the “Porto Posts Grid” element, Please edit the element and set the settings as listed below:

Content Source: Posts
Post Type: Products

And set the particular product category ID in the “Terms ID” option and it should solve your issue: https://pasteboard.co/PL0eEHeFTEut.png

After updating this plugin “Porto Theme – Functionality”, my site started to close. I received a warning that the plugin is causing critical damage to your site. I disabled the plugin with cpanel to open the site. I can now log in to the admin panel, but the site does not open. It keeps loading as a white screen. What should I do? hello, is it possible to have a full screen menu on mobile?

Hello, @dauyeung,

In our theme there are two types of mobile menus that you can find in the Porto >> Theme Options >> Menu >> Mobile Menu: https://postimg.cc/8JBVrv26 the type “side navigation” is almost the full-screen menu that slides from the left or right depends what you choose from the settings. You can choose the side navigation from there I hope it will resolve your issue.

I have added the social links in themes settings but they are not working. If it is a cache issue then it is a biggest problem in your template’s code which i have addressed many times. [CLOSED]

Managed it

Sound’s Good!!
That you have managed to solve the issue by yourself.
And hope it was not the cache issue.
Well Feel free to write back to us anytime, we are always here to help you.
Have a nice day.

Greetings, I want to update my version of the “port” theme from 6.3.3 to the latest version 7.0.10 clarifying that I am using a child theme. I would like to know if after acquiring the theme again you can help me in the update so as not to lose my site configuration because it has a lot of css code and other miscellaneous configurations. I bid you farewell in the hope of your prompt reply. Thanks a lot.

Hello, @reineccltda,

Here’s the recommended process for automatically updating your site:

1. Begin by taking a complete backup of your site to prevent any potential issues during the update process.
2. Deactivate all third-party plugins before proceeding with the Theme update.
3. Ensure you've backed up any custom code and remove it from the site prior to updating the Theme.
4. If you're using a Child Theme, activate the Parent Theme before initiating the update.
5. Clear all cache from your server and site. Afterward, clear your browser cache and thoroughly inspect your site for any changes.
6. Navigate to Appearance >> Themes and initiate the one-click automatic update for the Theme.
7. Proceed to Appearance >> Install Plugins and update any required or recommended plugins associated with the Theme, doing so one by one.
8. Once again, clear your browser cache and thoroughly review your site for any changes post-update.
9. Re-activate the Child Theme, if applicable.
10. Reactivate all third-party plugins one by one.

Finally, after completing these steps, clear your browser cache once more and verify that your site is functioning as expected.

Regards, P-THEMES.
