How to remove tdcpt from the link “https://mydomain.com/tdcpt_courses/re…”?
I’ve been using the Astra theme for a long time, and they also have templates and pre-designed sites available for import. However, their links never include something like this.
How can this be removed?
If you say that removing it will make the template stop working (which doesn’t happen with Astra templates that work fine without such tags), then tell me how I can customize this tag, for example, making it something like c1, etc.

Courses is the the name of the custom post type for the Coaching demo. The demo is intended for a website where visitors can subscribe and unlock special courses. These special courses are locked via a content locker https://prnt.sc/xFpc9nCB5E4J The name of the post type can be modified if you want, in the ACF plugin https://prnt.sc/SqSvh0wQwGtX Or it could be removed, there are ways to do that. However, usually the post type name is kept in the URL. Modifying the name of the custom post type or removing it will not make the demo stop working. Please let us know if you have more questions.

Current demo sites dont allow registration to check complete payment cycle for the subscription model. Can you please confirm if the subscription model built for https://theprint.in/subscribe/ is completely out of the box functionality or it has been customized by your developers. How much you would charge to get similar functionality?

The respective website is using our theme, but is not using our subscription plugin from what I see. We provide our own plugin which has options for content lockers, registration and subscription via payment plans or email https://tagdiv.com/how-to-build-a-membership-website-with-newspaper-theme/ I’m not sure what the website you mention is using for the subscriptions, but it is not our plugin or part of the theme. Thank you, the link shared is for instalation steps. Can you share link of any demo site where it is working completely. I checked couple of demo site but I can proceed to checkout page and registrations are disabled.
We disabled the registration on our live websites, to avoid spam. The procedure for locked content and subscribing is simple. I will showcase the steps.

Using the lockers https://forum.tagdiv.com/lockers/ you can lock the posts you want https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_today_news_pro/2022/03/17/td-post-ellen-degeneres-to-hand-out-millions-of-dollars-in-bonuses-as-hit-talk-show-ends/ In blocks where such locked posts are displayed, you can display a badge, usually something like “Exclusive”.
If a visitor wants to access the premium content, they can subscribe. From the locked posts they will arrive on the plans page where they choose from the available plans https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_today_news_pro/select-plan-today-news-pro/
Then they are asked to create subscriber account on the website, the register option will be on the login/register page https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_today_news_pro/login-register-today-news-pro/
The last step is the checkout page https://prnt.sc/JolIBJ5ihruc The payment methods are Direct bank transfer, Stripe, PayPal.
That would be all there is to it. The visitor will have a subscriber account on the website and will have access to the premium content.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. 1. As you already mentioned spam is a big problem, do we have option to guest checkout and account creation option is only available post successful payment. We also want to disable direct registration on our site. 2. If the amount is paid online through paypal, do we still need to manually active the plan or it will be done automatically. 3. Do you have any plan to integrate Razorpay for Indian market?
1. That isn’t possible unfortunately, there is no guest checkout. The visitors must create a subscriber account on the website, before making the payment. They must be subscribers. If you disable the registration in wordpress, the visitors can’t subscribe. To combat spam we provide an option to use recaptcha v3. A small part of the spam could however get through, and it may be needed to use an additional solution.
2. No, once the payment is done through PayPal or Stripe, the subscription is automatically active.
3. As far as I know there aren’t any immediate plans to add more payment methods in the plugin. We would like to add more of them, but I can’t say when this will happen unfortunately. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.

Pre Purchase Question:
your theme is not compatible with Elementor? when we edit page with elementor it gives error in console “Uncaught ReferenceError: tdConfirm is not defined” and elementor pages does not show any elements if elementor plugin is activated on your theme and tagdiv composer
if we disable the tagdiv composer or change theme to default then it works fine
which means elementor is not compatible with Newspaper theme or tagdiv composer

Pages that are built with Elementor should work fine if you edit them with Elementor. It is important to not mix the builders together, like for example editing an Elementor page with the composer, or the other way around. The theme demos and the content from the cloud library should only be edited with the composer. We strongly recommend using only the composer if possible. thanks for your reply, but the page I am talking about is completely build in elementor, actually we migrate the site from another theme and there were pages which was completely build in elementor and now we have to use newspaper theme so all the pages were build in elementor are not working when we try to edit those it gives error in console as I mentioned before “Uncaught ReferenceError: tdConfirm is not defined” and once we dispable tagdiv composer or change the theme those pages work fine.
please help we would love to use only one page builder but right now it’s not possible for us to rebuild all those pages in tagdiv because there are lot of elements missing in your page builder
i just checked, if i change the elementor page template to elementor canvas then it works fine and load all the elements but as you know there is no header and footer in elementor canvas page which means there might be some issue with your theme header or footer some js file is conflicting with elementor pages please check there should be a fix for that

I am trying to edit posts with Classic Editor (not Gutenberg) but when I click the update button it does nothing.

I have observed one issue with the newspaper theme about DOM SIZE. As you know the theme is specially designed for news websites and news websites mostly long content homepages.
but when I create a homepage it makes a huge DOM size and shows in page speed insights error which affects the performance.
Elementor page builder has already launched a tool to reduce DOM size. do you work on the same to enhance the performance and reduce the DOM size? or have an alternate solution.

I have a question before I purchase: is it possible to set any of your theme’s front pages to display posts on today’s date in previous years? So if it’s 11th November, the front page displays posts from 11th November in 2023. 2022, 2021, etc?

Thank you for your interest in our theme. While the theme does have quite a few filtering/sorting options for the blocks that display posts, there’s no such option for displaying posts from a specific day, from different years, unfortunately. The only way it could be done would be to manually choose the posts you want to display, by filtering the blocks using post IDs. But that will take time to do, especially if all the blocks in the page have to be changed daily. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have more questions.

That would work. No need for editing code. Blocks can be filtered by tags, so if the posts have the respective tags, then you can set the blocks to display posts from them. Thank you for been our customer! Yes, you can use article ads (banners and other type of ads like AdSense), those will be display inside the article, (at top, middle and bottom). Now there are 2 type of articles templates that can be used: - standard template (provided by tagDiv Standard Template) – those needs to be set in the theme panel https://i.imgur.com/IANnPWl.png - single post template (provided by tagDiv Cloud Library) – those needs to be set using tagDiv Composer on post content element https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/
