Hello, Udemy importer gives this error “SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate” in the search section. I contacted the hosting company, the necessary reviews and updates were made, but the error continues, they asked me to contact the theme company. How can you help.

Hello there,

Thank you for the request.

We apologize for the inconvenience. The issue stems from recent updates made by Udemy. Most of the problem has already been resolved, and course imports are now working correctly. However, there are still some delays in the release due to the new API not fully retrieving reviews, ratings, and a few other details as expected.

Please allow us some more time, and keep an eye on the changelog for updates.

Best regards,

Thanks.

Will the Masterstudy LMS Pro Plus plugin and Masterstudy Elementor Widget plugin be included when I purchase the theme? Or do I have to buy them separately?

Hello there,

Thank you for the request.

The Masterstudy LMS Pro Plus plugin is not included with the theme purchase. If you need it, you can purchase it separately here https://stylemixthemes.com/wordpress-lms-plugin/

The Masterstudy Elementor Widget plugin is included with the theme and will be installed automatically based on the demo version you choose during the demo installation process.

Best regards,

Hello Team at Stylemix Themes;

I hope you’re doing well. I returned back to your awosome theme, but I have a question:

Could you please explain a way to make Display Name As” defaults to the First and Last Name, not the username? I tried many way including installing a plugin to force doing this but it seems your Theme is overriding this action.

Thanks Khalid

Hello there,

Thank you for the request.

Apologies for not clearly emphasizing this point in my previous message. By default, the system displays the username upon user registration. After registering with a username, email, and password, users can access their profile settings, where they have the option to enter and save their full name. Once updated, the full name will be displayed in place of the username.

This functionality should align with your requirements. If you wish to modify this behavior further, it would require custom development. For reference, please consult the following developer guide: https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/developers-guide/components

Best regards,

Thank you anyway for your explanation.

You are always welcome!

Can I link a product to a course? For example, I create a product and once the customer buy the product, gets automatically access to the course. Is this possible?

Hi there,

Thank you for your question!

Your request is a bit unclear, but I’ll do my best to help based on what I understand. Please feel free to share more details if my answer doesn’t fully address what you’re looking for, I’ll be happy to assist further!

Our theme is fully integrated with WooCommerce, so yes, you can sell courses using the WooCommerce checkout and take advantage of all its payment options – https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/woocommerce/woocommerce-products

Just a small note: Courses themselves won’t appear as standard WooCommerce products. However, students can still sell MasterStudy LMS courses directly through the WooCommerce checkout flow. Then, students have access to the course.

If you meant something different, feel free to clarify, and I’ll guide you accordingly.

Warm regards,

I was yesterday testing with the website from a friend, who has MasterStudy Pro version. The plugin does not allow what I want. I want to create a Woocommerce product, then in the edit product page, link the course to this product. When user purchase this product, gets automatically enrolled to the course. So I did a small plugin to allows it and it worked perfectly.

The thing is that I cannot create custom fields for the course itself where and how I want it. But in a product page yes. So I create a product as a course (which is linked to a course). Then, in the product I can add whatever I want because it is more flexible.

Thanks anyways

Thanks for the update! Sounds like you found a smart workaround that fits your needs better—nicely done.

If you need anything else down the line, feel free to reach out!

Hello. Is there a tool or method to migrate courses created in Masterstudy, along with enrolled students, to a new WordPress installation? I would appreciate your guidance. Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Thank you for your request.

Currently, there is no built-in option in MasterStudy to migrate courses along with enrolled students to a new WordPress installation.

However, for importing course data, I recommend creating Groups and then importing them via CSV. This method can help you organize and transfer course structures more efficiently. You can find detailed instructions here:
Group Courses Import via CSV

Additionally, to transfer theme options and plugin settings between sites, please refer to the following documentation:

Let me know if you need help with any of these steps.

Best regards,

I’m extremely frustrated.

Previously, whenever we added a new course, it was automatically listed as a product in the WooCommerce products section. After your recent updates, newly added courses no longer appear there. I tried regenerating the product tables—nothing changed. I even added a new course just to test, but again, it didn’t show up in the WooCommerce products list.

We use a custom checkout plugin to collect specific information from our students, and we do this through the WooCommerce checkout. But now, because of your policies, we can’t even request custom information on the checkout page anymore!

I purchased your theme specifically because it worked with WooCommerce like this. So why are you deliberately blocking courses from being listed as WooCommerce products?

Your senseless obsession with control and monetization is actively breaking our system!

Why do you care about WooCommerce’s structure? Why are you interfering with WooCommerce statistics? Why are you messing with WooCommerce settings?

When are you going to fix this?

Dear Ganikaraoglu,

Thank you so much for reaching out, and I’m truly sorry to hear about the frustration this has caused you. I completely understand how disruptive it can be when something that was working well for your workflow suddenly changes.

With the recent updates, the LMS system has been improved and optimized for better performance and more seamless integration with WooCommerce. In this new structure, LMS products are no longer duplicated as separate WooCommerce products. Instead, they are directly purchasable using the WooCommerce checkout process, which eliminates the need for maintaining two synced product databases.

This change helps streamline product handling and reduces potential conflicts between LMS and WooCommerce, but I completely understand that it has negatively impacted your customized setup. For that, I sincerely apologize.

If you’d prefer to continue using the previous behavior where courses were also listed as WooCommerce products, I can provide you with the older versions of the plugins. In that case, I kindly recommend disabling automatic updates to avoid further disruptions. Based on the release timeline, you’ll most likely need the versions prior to the update on February 27, 2025:

  • MasterStudy LMS Free Plugin: v3.5.17
  • MasterStudy LMS Pro Plugin: v4.6.11

Please fill out the form by simply copying and pasting this request, and let me know in the comments that you’ve submitted it. Once I receive your form submission, I’ll get back to you through that channel and share the previous versions you need.

Alternatively, if you’d like to continue using the latest versions, it may be necessary to adapt your custom solution to align with the updated LMS-WooCommerce integration.

Please let me know how you’d like to proceed, and I’ll do my best to support you every step of the way.

Warm regards

Apologies for missing it earlier, here’s the link to the form » https://themeforest.net/user/stylemixthemes in case you need the older versions.

when i need install theme this message appears

Installing theme from uploaded file: themeforest-KrpvGHqp-masterstudy-education-center-wordpress-theme.zip Unpacking the package…

Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme installation failed.

what shall i do ?

Hello there,

Thank you for the request.

That error usually means you’re trying to upload the entire ThemeForest zip package, which contains extra files like documentation, licenses, and PSDs — not just the installable WordPress theme.

What to Do:

  1. Unzip the file you downloaded:
    themeforest-KrpvGHqp-masterstudy-education-center-wordpress-theme.zip
  2. Inside the extracted folder, look for the theme file — it will usually be named something like:
    masterstudy.zip or masterstudy-theme.zip
  3. In your WordPress dashboard, go to:
Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme
Then upload the correct theme zip file.

If you’re unsure which file to use, feel free to send a screenshot of the contents and I’ll gladly point it out for you.

Please refer to the installation and activation guide here: https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/installation-and-activation/theme-activation

Best regards,

Hi,

At the dashboard I get the following notice: “The following required plugins are currently inactive: MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin – for Online Courses and Education, MasterStudy LMS – Online Courses, eLearning PRO”.

I don’t want use LMS plugin. Is there a way to remove this notice?

Warm regards

Hello,

Thank you for your message!

If you’re not planning to use the LMS functionality, you can safely deactivate and and delete the MasterStudy LMS plugins from your site. However, the notice you’re seeing is likely coming from the theme’s recommendation system, which isn’t automatically removed just by deactivating the plugins.

Unfortunately, there’s no built-in setting to hide that message. That said, you can suppress it with a small code snippet added to your child theme’s functions.php file.

Please make sure you’re using a child theme before adding it, so your changes are safe from future updates.

Let us know if you’d like help applying the code or have any other questions!

Warm regards,

Hello,

Thank you for your quick response. I am using child theme already. Could you please send me the code snippet that I can add to functions.php file in order to suppress the message?

Best rwgards

Hello there,

Thank you for your patience.

I received a response from the QA team. We’ve identified that a notice appears asking the client to activate plugins. However, clicking the close (X) button doesn’t dismiss the notice temporarily — it reappears after a page reload.

We’re already working on a fix for this. The plan is to add a “No Thanks” button before the close icon, which will allow users to permanently hide the notice.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I can’t provide a code snippet at the moment. However, here are the classes for the notice: notice is-dismissible stm-notice stm-notice-ms-notice

If you have development experience, you can modify these classes yourself.

Otherwise, we kindly ask for your patience — a fix will be included in future updates.

Best regards,

Notice : Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly . Translation loading for the stm-post-type domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later.

Hello there,

Thanks for sharing. I’ve already reported this to the dev team for review. You can safely ignore the notice if it’s not causing any functional issues.

In a production environment, it’s recommended to suppress such notices by turning off WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY. You can do this by adding the following lines to your wp-config.php file:

define('WP_DEBUG', true);
define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);

Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime.

Best regards,

Best regards,

hello i bought this theme few years ago , it had instructors courses on dashboard and a simple button to edit the course, on frontend, but i am using again this theme and a lot of things change , where is instructor courses to edit one , please. i cant found it

Hello there,

Thank you for the request.

In the Instructor front-end dashboard, you can view all your courses. Please hover over the Published button on any course card — this will reveal additional options. Click on Edit to proceed with editing the course.

You can refer to the screenshot for guidance: View Screenshot

Best regards,

Hello. How do I make a recurring payment?

Hello there,

Thank you for the request.

Yes, you can set up recurring payments in MasterStudy LMS using Paid Memberships Pro (PMPro). This integration allows you to create subscription-based access to your courses.

Please refer to the manual for more information : https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/additional-features/masterstudy-theme-manual-membership-system

Best regards,

The sign up form isn’t working. When “Get Course” is clicked and ‘No Account-Sign Up’ is chosen, the sign up form appears with the fields (sorry, I can’t attach a pic):

enter email, enter username, enter password, repeat password, enter name, enter last name, blank field with no label

After filling out form and clicking Sign Up, nothing happens. Obviously, this is a big problem. As for the sign up form, it doesn’t match any forms in the form editor. I would like to edit it.

Any help would be appreciated. I’m trying to launch my first course and there’s no way I can until this is sorted. Thank you.

I noticed this changes when my store is in Live mode. Before it was set to ‘Coming Soon’ in Woo Commerce. Could that be the issue? In Live mode, when ‘Get Course’ is clicked, you’re taken to the cart rather than a pop up with sign in/create acct info.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out. We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with the sign-up form.

As a first troubleshooting step, please ensure that your theme and all related plugins are updated to their latest versions.

Once everything is updated, we recommend resaving your permalinks by navigating to Settings > Permalinks and clicking Save Changes (ensure the structure is set to Post name). This action refreshes the permalink structure and may help resolve issues such as the blank field with no label.

Additionally, regarding the ‘No Account – Sign Up’ option, could you kindly clarify what you’re seeing? Normally, users must be signed in to enroll in a course, so we’d like to better understand how this flow is being triggered on your end.

Please let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance—we’re happy to help!

Best regards

I get the error: “Error calling GET https://www.udemy.com/api-2.0/courses/?search=WordPress&page_size=50: (403)”. I checked the Udemy API key and it is working fine. Please fix it.

Hello there,

Thank you for the request.

Apologies for the inconvenience. The issue was caused by recent changes on Udemy’s side. It has already been fixed, and course import has been tested successfully. However, reviews, ratings, and some other details are not coming through properly via the new API, which is causing delays in the release.

We’re continuing to work on it. Although the release was planned for Monday, some parts require cooperation with Udemy, and we’re currently waiting for their response.

Please allow us some more time, and keep an eye on the changelog for updates.

Best regards

hi, it’s been 2 weeks and you still haven’t fixed it. This is disrupting my work. when do you think it will be done?

Hello there,

Thank you for the request.

We fully understand your concern and want to assure you that our team is actively working to resolve the issue related to Udemy integration. We sincerely appreciate your patience and recommend keeping an eye on the changelog for the latest updates regarding this matter.

Please rest assured that we will notify you promptly once the issue has been completely resolved.

What can I do LMS course builder not loading

See Link https://prnt.sc/hZkL8rDTAGbB

Hello,

Please make sure that your theme and plugins are updated to their latest versions. Once updated, kindly resave the permalinks.

It ensures that the URL structure is correctly recognized by the system, which can resolve potential issues with page or post links not working as expected. Sometimes, when themes or plugins are updated, they may alter or add new functionality that impacts how URLs are handled. Resaving the permalinks refreshes this structure, helping to avoid errors or broken links.

If the issue persists, try troubleshooting by deactivating any third-party plugins, including any caching plugins, to identify the cause.

Let us know how it goes!

Done but still not working

Permalink https://prnt.sc/4LbydO9EC_7N console error https://prnt.sc/s6J84exLk1SR

Hello there,

Thank you for the update and for sharing screenshots.

Resaving permalinks should usually help resolve a 403 error in certain cases because the error typically means “Forbidden,” indicating that the server is refusing to fulfill your request.

When the permalink is updated, WordPress stores URL rewrite rules in the database. If something goes wrong with the structure or rules, resaving permalinks can regenerate these settings, which might fix issues with accessing certain pages.

If you are still encountering this error, please fill out the form and provide your website credentials. We will investigate the issue more closely and assist you further » https://themeforest.net/user/stylemixthemes

Here are some common reasons for this error and how you can address them:

Permissions Issue: The server may not have the proper permissions set for your user or IP address. Ensure that the permissions for the file or directory you’re trying to access are correct (usually 755 for directories, 644 for files in most cases).

IP Blocking: If you’re being blocked due to your IP address, the server might be set to block certain IP ranges or individual addresses. Check if your IP is on a blacklist, and if so, contact the server admin to remove it.

Authentication Required: The resource you’re trying to access might require proper authentication (like a username/password or API token). Make sure you’re authorized to access the resource.

Misconfigured .htaccess File: If you’re on an Apache server, the .htaccess file might have a misconfiguration causing this error. Check the file for rules that could be causing a block (e.g., Deny from all rules).

Web Application Firewall (WAF): A firewall or security plugin (like Wordfence for WordPress) could be blocking the request. Check any security plugins or server-level firewalls that could be causing the issue.

Server Misconfiguration: The server configuration might be blocking access based on certain headers, user-agents, or request methods. Check the server logs to see if there’s more specific information.

If you have access to the server logs or error logs, they can provide additional details on why the request was blocked.

Best regards,

When I purchased your product, all the plugins were available, for example, the Google sign-in plugin. However, I was surprised by updates from your side, which is great, but the unpleasant surprise is that some of the plugins I had are now under the ‘Plus’ package, and thus have been blocked for me. Is this correct? If the ‘Plus’ package was necessary, there should have been entirely new plugins added, not the removal of what was previously available. This seems somewhat unprofessional, and it makes me hesitant to recommend the product to others. Could you please clarify this issue? Thank you.

Also, I have a translation problem where some terms I couldn’t find in the theme files or plugin files. How can I resolve this issue? Thank you.

Hello there,

Thank you for the request.

The Social Login add-on was introduced on February 29, 2024, as part of the MS LMS Pro Plus package. Initially, it was not included in the MS LMS theme, MS LMS free, and Pro plugins.

If you’re considering purchasing MS LMS Pro Plus, there are currently some great discounts available, this is a good opportunity – https://stylemixthemes.com/wordpress-lms-plugin/

Regarding translation, I assume you’re using Loco Translate. Please make sure to sync the language files for both the theme and the plugins. This will ensure that any missing strings from the theme are properly added. Please refer to manual for step by step guide – https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/masterstudy-translate/translation-preparation#update-masterstudy-theme-translate-file

Best regards,

Can I use MS LMS without woocommerce as I dont want to sell courses online. I just want the LMS for our existing students.

Hello there,

Thank you for the request.

Yes, you can absolutely use MS LMS without WooCommerce. You can manually enroll students in courses or make the courses free for them. WooCommerce is primarily for providing additional payment options

Best regards,

Hi, few pre-sale questions: (1) MasterStudy LMS Pro version is included with this theme or not? Will that include a lifetime update also? Or do we have to buy the LMS separately? (2) In Quiz section explanation part is also available? For example, when a student is in practice mode, once s/he clicks on a particular answer, and then click for check answer, the right answer would be highlighted, and the explanation of the right answer would also come. (3) In test/exam can we have practice mode (without time limit) and exam mode (with time limit)? (4) Is it mobile responsive? Can a student attend courses on a mobile device?

I also recommend checking the quiz and questions section in the documentation to explore all the features: https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/lms-courses-features/questions#how-to-create-a-new-question

Thanks for the reply. Actually, our intention is majorly to conduct exam preparation in which students should see the ‘explanation’ after the test (either after each question answering or after the entire test). When I checked other LMS (LP and TutorLMS) they show this explanation separately in a box. But considering less plugins and budget we are intent to go with MasterStudy. Can you consider this in future plugin update? or is the any other way to show the explanation in a separate box?

Hello,

Thank you for the detailed explanation! I completely understand that showing the description separately in a box after the quiz would be a better approach, especially for exam preparation. While I can’t provide an exact timeline for when this feature might be added to MasterStudy, I can suggest a workaround in the meantime.

You can add a lesson right after the quiz, where the course gets unlocked once the quiz is completed. In this lesson, you can include the answers’ explanations.

MasterStudy LMS offers the Prerequisites Addon, which allows you to set requirements for course enrollment. With this addon, you can configure courses or lessons that must be completed before a student can access subsequent content.

Read more about Prerequisites Addon here – https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/masterstudy-lms-pro-addons/masterstudy-theme-manual-prerequisites

I hope this helps, and we will certainly keep your suggestion in mind for future updates!

Let me know if you need any assistance setting this up.
