My question is more the other way around. What if I would like to have a pre-populated template visible via the default editor? Also is there a way to disable assessment review by instructors and/or Moodle admin? In our instance assignments are more personal reflections from learners and will not require grading. Thanks!

Here’s a detailed explanation of the issue:
A student clicks “Take this Course” and is redirected to the checkout page.
On the checkout page, some students partially fill out their details (such as address) and then leave the website without clicking “Place Order” or proceeding to the payment step.
Later, when they return to the site and try to enroll in the same course again by clicking “Take this Course”, they are redirected to the checkout page.
They complete all the required fields and click “Place Order”, but then receive the error:
“You cannot add another ‘Internationally Certified KYC Manager (IR-KAM)’ to your cart. View cart.”
When they click “View Cart”, it only shows one course in the cart, yet the system still blocks them from proceeding.
Additionally, in some cases:
Students don’t update any checkout information the first time.
When they return later and try to proceed normally (fill in all details and attempt payment), they still receive the same error message.
It seems like the cart or session is not resetting properly when users abandon the checkout process, causing issues on their return.

However, I’d like to clarify that the issue we are facing goes a bit beyond the standard cart duplication prevention logic.
In our case:
Students click “Take this Course”, get redirected to checkout, but do not fill or submit anything – they simply leave the site.
When they return and try to re-enroll in the same course, they receive the error: “You cannot add another ‘Internationally Certified KYC Manager (IR-KAM)’ to your cart. View cart.”
When they check their cart, it appears empty. No visible product is shown.
These incomplete attempts are generating ‘Draft’ orders in WooCommerce, even when no user input is submitted or payment made.
The only current workaround is to manually delete the customer’s WooCommerce profile entirely and ask them to start over — which is not sustainable or user-friendly.
This issue wasn’t occurring previously and seems to have started only in the past week. It’s impacting enrollments and leading to user frustration.
What we need ideally is:
A way to clear abandoned cart/session data automatically or,
A way to bypass the “duplicate course” error if the cart is technically empty, or,
Guidance on how to prevent these abandoned “draft” orders from blocking future enrollment attempts.
Please let me know if this behavior is known or if any patch/workaround has been released recently. I can provide staging access or error logs if needed.

I’m extremely disappointed with the support experience so far. I just received a generic response stating:
“By default, MasterStudy LMS allows each course to be purchased only once per student. If a student adds a course to their cart but does not proceed to checkout, the course will remain in the cart and cannot be added again until it is removed or the order is completed…”
This does not address the issue I clearly described in the form, which stated:
“Upon clicking ‘View Cart,’ it appears empty, with no course visibly present — yet the system still blocks them from proceeding.”
So I’m stuck in a loop: the cart shows as empty, but I’m unable to re-add the course or complete the purchase.
What exactly am I supposed to do now? Wait another 3 days for a vague, unhelpful reply?
This has already wasted 5 days of my time, and I expect a direct fix or clear resolution immediately.

Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we’re definitely taking it seriously.
Here’s the situation with the Udemy Importer: Udemy no longer supports API integration, which is likely causing the “do not have permission” error you’re seeing, and they now rely on Rakuten for such integrations. We’ve updated the necessary elements on our end, but we found that Rakuten’s import doesn’t include all course data. To ensure a complete course import, we decided against releasing a partial fix—we want to get this right for you. We’ve reached out to Rakuten, who informed us they can only share the data Udemy permits, and we’ve also contacted Udemy to allow full data transfer through Rakuten. We’re currently waiting for their response.
We know how important this feature is to you, and we’re fully committed to resolving this properly. Releasing an import with incomplete data just wouldn’t meet our standards! As soon as we hear back from Udemy and can restore full integration with Rakuten, we’ll roll out an update as quickly as possible.

There is no better course theme! In advance, thank you for answering my question.
I’d like to use your Course Player with YouTube videos, but at the end of the videos, suggested vids from other channels come up. I know when embedding, you used to be able to use &rel=0 to force suggested vids only from your channel. Adding that to the URL in course builder gets stripped. Any ideas? Thanks!

Regarding the suggested videos. Unfortunately, YouTube has updated its policy, and it’s no longer possible to completely disable suggested video. This change is beyond our control, as it’s dictated by YouTube’s platform rules. You can only manage to show video from your channel by using the parameter &rel=0
One workaround you might consider is hosting your videos on a different platform, like Vimeo.
