It’s about: “Unable to Delete Row in TagDiv Composer”

I’m experiencing a new issue in TagDiv Composer: I am unable to delete a Row.
- When I right-click on the Row, no context menu appears.
- When I drag the Row, the trash/delete icon does not show up.
- When I select the Row and press the “Delete” key on the keyboard, nothing happens.
In short, none of the usual methods allow me to delete a Row.

For context, here are my current environment details (same as previously reported):
- Theme: Newspaper v12.7.1
- WordPress: 6.8.2
- No caching plugin installed
- Active plugins:
- Loginizer

- tagDiv Cloud Library – tagDiv
- tagDiv Composer – tagDiv
- tagDiv Opt-In Builder – tagDiv
- tagDiv Standard Pack – tagDiv
Could you please advise what might cause this issue, or if there is a workaround?

Hello, Please do a test using only the tagDiv plugin to see if the situation persists, usually when using the right click on the element the selection menu should appear, if it does not appear most of the time a plugin is interfering with the theme.
If the problem persists please make a backup of the site and contact us by email at contact@tagdiv..com and please provide us with wp-admin access to investigate this situation.

I’ve tested the issue by deactivating plugins one by one while keeping only the tagDiv plugins active. After that, everything went back to normal: I was able to right-click, select the row, drag it, see the trash icon, and also delete rows using the keyboard.
It turns out that the problem happens only when The Events Calendar plugin (by The Events Calendar, version 6.15.0.1) is active. Once I deactivate it, the tagDiv Builder works fine again.
All my tagDiv plugins are updated to match the Newspaper theme v12.7.1.
Could you please advise why there’s a conflict with The Events Calendar plugin? I really need that plugin for my website, so I hope there’s a way to make them work together.

That’s a bit strange, I installed the same plugin and version, and the composer still seems to work fine. Maybe its a setting from the plugin, although I tested a bit and I can’t recreate the problem. I see you provided access to the website in a previous email, could you please make the user an admin? Or provide a new one. And let us know in the same email or a new one. Then we can check directly on your website.

The look of that site is not just from a demo of ours, it is extra edited to make it look like it is now.

If you’re using the single post template, you can edit it with the tagDiv Composer. You have two elements available for this: Single Post Bg Featured Image and Single Post Featured Image. Subject: Issue with “Video Embed” Element – YouTube URL Shows “Failed render”
Dear TagDiv Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue with the Newspaper theme when using the Video Embed element in TagDiv Composer.
Whenever I paste a valid YouTube URL into the element, instead of rendering the video, it only shows the following error message: “Failed render”.
Here are the steps I tried:
Used different YouTube URLs (short link and full link).
Tested on different browsers.
Cleared the website and browser cache.
Disabled all other plugins temporarily.
Unfortunately, the problem persists.

When will the update be announced? I hope the bugs are resolved quickly. What is the focus of this update, and are there any new features? When will new features be released? Also, Many people are using the Newspaper theme, but the composer builder isn’t working properly. The Newspaper team is probably well aware of the reason. I’m curious about your internal thoughts on this issue and whether there are any plans for compatibility or changes with other builders (such as Elementor or Gutenberg).

We will fix the bugs in the next update, it will be a relatively minor maintenance update. Besides issues that could happen for specific websites, the composer functions properly for most users. When here are issues we investigate the cases on the websites. We have plans to add a few new features, but they are not yet ready and tested, so it will take more time. There aren’t plans to provide full compatibility between the theme and elementor. Since we provide the composer, and all the theme features depend on it or can be used only through it, and the rest of the theme plugins require the composer, providing compatibility with a different page builder will mean recreating everything basically. Gutenberg however can be used to create posts and pages as needed.

I would like to migrate from NewsMag to NewsPaper. I would like to keep my NewsMag them (It is one of the demos). How can we go about doing a smooth transition… (Colors scheme etc). I am ready to purchase.
That will take some work, these are different themes after all. The website will have to be replicated with the Newspaper theme. If you want to try it out, you could do it on a staging/testing clone of the live website, and install the Newspaper theme there and customize it to look like the current website. If I downloaded the NewsMag theme’s settings. Would you consider making a settings I could upload to the new NewsPaper theme? If there is cost let me know. I think that would be a good way of doing it. I would like the same done for the main “page” that is designed by the NewsMag Tag editor.

Is there an option to enable guest checkout ? For example if somebody buys an subscription he can buy without even having an account on the current website ?

That’s not possible unfortunately. In order to become a subscriber using our optin plugin, the visitor must first register on the website and have a subscriber account, and only then it will be possible to pay for the subscription. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
