Unless you use a mobile page or a mobile template, the block should appear on desktop as well. It’s probably an ad box, are you maybe using an ad blocker on desktop? If it’s a default demo ad, and you use an ad blocker on desktop, then that would explain why you can’t see it. But if that’s not the case, I will take a closer look at it. The candidates are the job applications. So after the visitor/candidate subscribes for example to this plan https://prnt.sc/1Bc_o_jzkVVN based on the payment plan the subscriber can apply to a number of jobs https://prnt.sc/yOlpCi7JDMbx In the single job page there will an apply button https://prnt.sc/j5Yl8pkodjmP which opens a popup where the subscriber enters their details https://prnt.sc/uYcc1Nix0J8K More custom fields can be added if you want to collect more information from the candidate. There’s no option for that unfortunately. Related posts can be displayed around the post content, but not inside it. There is a workaround by using the post content ad spots to add a block shortcode inside them https://forum.tagdiv.com/set-block-inside-post-content/ We can help set it up if you want. Or you could try a plugin.

From what I find we had one similar case before, in which we decided to provide a local fix. Modifying the theme for everyone, for just a few specific cases can be risky, the matter still has to be investigated more by our developer team. In the meantime please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login (user and pass), also FTP access. We can test the same solution, which may eventually be added permanently in the theme. Please let us know and sorry for this situation.

I’ve seen such issues before. In most of the cases it happened because of caching, specifically object caching. This reverts the theme into the unregistered state. We can take a look if you want, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website, admin login (user and pass) and also access to cPanel or FTP if possible. Then we can investigate the issue.

Thanks. It was actually uBlock Origin that block that ads in tagdiv composer. Now I am able to see them in editor and change/update/delete them.

The author box can be displayed in the post pages by adding it in post the template. Simply edit the post template with the composer https://prnt.sc/OGZqnx-OK8GC and add the author box in the location you want https://prnt.sc/_rf-mRvfhq9- The author box displays the information added in the user profile page in wordpress https://prnt.sc/tI1dSlPQ5IX9 meaning social links, avatar (usually gravatar), biography.

The author template is different, this template is used for the author pages. The author template doesn’t have any relation to the post template.

If you are using Newspaper 7, then please update the theme. There have been hundreds of updates since then. The latest theme version is 12.7.5 https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-changelog/

The theme can be updated manually, through wordpress or using a file manager, please follow the steps from this guide https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/ The newer theme versions work fine with PHP 8.

And as a note, after you update the theme, please install and activate this theme plugin called “standard pack” https://prnt.sc/Bf8J3VQkfrG- That is a required plugin for old websites.

That’s quite unusual, I don’t think I’ve seen such an issue before. Have you tested for a plugin conflict? Please make a quick test and deactivate all non-theme plugins to see if it works. if not, try reinstalling the theme. If the issue remains, you could try to switch to the previous theme version to see if the issue is fixed. We haven’t had any similar reports after the latest update, so it could be something specific to your website perhaps. Our newsletter plugin is just for design basically. It adds design to a form. It only works with a few newsletter providers, such as MailChimp. However, the form you want to use could simply be added in a HTML element, and some design created manually in case there is no form builder for it. If you need help with the design, let us know. The plugin you are using and the way our demo is built are most likely different things. Our demo is built with the ACF plugin and the theme features for listings. The dedicated plugin probably has it’s own post type, custom fields, taxonomies, templates, etc. Mixing them up may not be such a good idea. You could test it if you want, maybe on a staging/testing copy of the website. There is a demo for Podcasts https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_podcasts/ But this doesn’t mean that you can only use that specific demo. Any demo can be used for any purpose. Use the one that you like best, and create the type of content that you want. The theme support audio posts if you want to set podcasts as featured audio it supports Spotify, Soundcloud, self hosted audio files. If you have more questions please let us know.
