There are 3 separate files should you want to recreate the exact look of our demo home pages. The home page content itself is only 1 file, however we also provide a base XML file (example post, pages, etc) as well as a Customizer import file to pre-configure your Customizer to all the settings needed to achieve the demo.

We provide detailed instructions on how to do this in our member area including text and video resources.

Thanks for writing in and no need to apologize for a long post! We are more than happy to answer any pre-purchase questions that come our way as we understand this process very well. Allow me to address you’re two separate points one by one in an effort to fully address your inquiries:

1. At this time, the only type of functionality included in the theme that might come close to mimicking this plugin would be our portfolio setups. With the recent v1.8.0 update, multiple portfolio support was also integrated into the theme, affording even further flexibility with this feature. The best thing you could do regarding this would be to check out how some of our portfolios operate. Here is the Integrity 1 portfolio example to get a good sense of how this operates. You can see that you can filter by category, but that is about it. The plugin you’re referencing has some filtering that is a little more granular, so if you’re willing to sacrifice a little bit of that, then perhaps this portfolio functionality might work for you. While this section is more suited for creative pieces like photography, artwork, and video, you should be able to have it easily accommodate a listing of vehicles as well to suit your tastes.
2. Regarding plugin integration, X is built on WordPress best standards, and while we cannot test and vouch for every plugin on the market, as long as the plugin you’re planning on using also adheres to these standards, it is very likely that everything should work without any issues. This doesn’t necessarily mean that it may be styled the way you’d like out of the gate as the plugin likely features it’s own styles, which you would need to overwrite yourself to match the look of the theme more as we cannot support integration or customization of third party plugins with the theme as much as we would like to as there are simply too many variables to consider.

There are some outstanding issues with the front end editor that we have brought to the developers attention of VC. Until they get it sorted out, we have not enabled this feature.

There are various bugs with their front end editor. We have submitted it to them for review and are awaiting a response.

We haven’t tested that particular plugin and our policy related to 3rd party plugins is that X was developed to coding standards and best practices, so well developed 3rd party plugins should play nicely with X, however due to the unlimited scope of what can and often times does go wrong with a piece of software that was developed outside of our control, we are unable to provide support for 3rd party plugins or confirm compatibility unless the plugins are integrated into X such as Visual Composer, Revolution Slider, Gravity Forms, etc.

our sales page is a modified version of Integrity 1 and with some css tweaking you could recreate the look, however we do not provide the demo content for our sales page so it would require some investigating on your own. Hope that helps you!

Nevermind.. i am already in love with themeco . I am a novice when it comes to web designing and I hope you guys don’t mind my constant pestering and i wish you guys could help me a little with the CSS styling. I am going to buy this theme in a couple of days from now. This theme is the sexiest theme I have ever come across!!

1) You could use Revolution Slider to put a slide that was some sort of image at the top (above the fixed or static top navigation).

2) This would fall under the customization umbrella, so if you didn’t feel comfortable doing the modification yourself, you would need to hire out a developer to help you achieve that. I wouldn’t be able to give you an estimate for time or difficulty as it would depend on many different variables.

That is a modified version of our theme and is a sales page only. You can recreate a very similar look (navigation being the only thing slightly different) with the Integrity 1 demo.

The main thing people want to recreate is the home page, so you can directly access the home page content on the demo page as well as Customizer import files to have your Customizer predefined with the Customizer settings from the demo you are wanting to create.

We have integrated Visual Composer into X (replaced their shortcodes with our own and a few other cosmetic and functional modifications), however you can absolutely use our Shortcodes on their own as well. Let us know if you have any further questions, my friend!

First off, we have nearly 100 different videos in our member area covering a range of topics from working with WordPress to working with each shortcode to showing how the Customizer works to marketing training. Even though this is more than most companies provide, we are always looking to add more and have many more scheduled to create (some around the topic you brought up).

You said it would be beneficial to see how the demo sites were created, and this is actually already available in our Demo Content page. Within a few minutes you can recreate the homepage of our demos using the provided files and users regularly comment how much they use those files as a starting point in setting up their own site.

All that to say, you can see from our changelog and development cycle that we push out new updates and features often. This includes both features in the theme as well as tutorials and other resources. Stay tuned to the member area for more news related to new features, updates, tutorials, and more.

Wow, that was fast! Thanks for your response.

Just to clarify what I was asking, I really have no issue copying the demo sites using the files that you guys provided for us. It literally takes just a few minutes to do it, and it’s awesome! What I was trying to say though is it would be great if we get to see some of those demos getting customized into a different site (or better yet, create an entirely new site). And this is just so we can follow along and see the best practices in customizing a theme. And also we get to see where to go and find items that should be modified or altered if you want to change something in your website.

With all that said, I am slowly learning this process through trial and error. My current mock-website looks exactly like the Integrity-01 Blog demo site. I’m slowly making changes to it and this is why I figured that it would be really helpful if there’s a video that I can go back to whenever I’m stuck trying to change certain things in my site.

I know that it’s asking a lot but since you guys have been so kind and awesome from the start, I just figured I’d exploit your kindness by asking this video request (hehehe). But I truly believe that it would benefit a lot, if not all, of us.

i took a look at the link you sent along and very much appreciate the flexibility those layouts offer. the thing is im not sure just how i’d get the look im after without the options laid out in a theme (i’m a designer more than a developer), so i would need some help to achieve it. i’m quite comfortable modifying css and even some php, but would need a push in the right direction. would your support staff be able to help me do that?

i often hire programmers for things like this, though i am trying to find a single theme that allows me to do this stuff myself for all of my clients. its just the homepage that i like to heavily customize, the additional pages fit nicely into some of x’s standard layouts.

Generally speaking that layout is not a big challenge, with the only sticking points being the floating logo. You could easily create a slider and put it above the navigation as you have shown (and as we have done in Integrity 1 but with a video in addition), however the logo part is something that would be a bit tricky. We are happy to help our members with simple CSS tweaks here and there, however something like this would be a little more involved than that.

If you had some flexibility with your layout and could model it after Integrity 1 more (which is about 90% of the way there), that would be much easier out of the box to re-create.
