This would require some customization due to uniqueness of each Stacks features which you can read more about here. By clicking to each one of those individual Stack feature pages you can learn more about the unique design options in each.
One option would be that when using Integrity, you can activate header transparency and show whatever the background texture/image is as seen here. Should you need anything beyond that, you are welcome to customize as needed.

I’m thinking of recommending a client purchase this for me to work on their new website and I see that a new version is coming out soon so I don’t want to work on a superceded version.

Hello, I’d like to build a simple website with static left-side sidebar and an overall clean (white) look. It seems that X will do just fine with that.
However, I’d like to know if it is compatible with qTranslate plugin? Also, how do I transfer the license together with updates to my client if I buy this theme from my account (I’m thinking about API key)?

Our policy related to 3rd party plugins is that unless they are integrated into the theme in some way (Revolution Slider, Gravity Forms, etc) then we are unable to provide support for them. Technically speaking, since X was developed according to development best practices, any well developed 3rd party plugin should play nicely with X, however due to the virtually limitless nature of things that can and often times do go wrong with software, we can’t support something that we have not first developed or integrated into the theme.
Regarding the license, you would need to take that up between you and the client. Option 1 would be you purchase and administer the license for them. Option 2 would be you have them purchase the license and setup their own member center account (for setting up automatic updates, etc).

I’ve already purchased X and have noticed the license manager, so that should work well. As for the qTranslate – I’ll give it a try. I’m about to build a rather small website so there shouldn’t be too many issues.
I’ve found out that the only language provided with X is English. Considering your theme’s popularity, it would be a nice addition to ship this theme with more languages. I could share Polish translation as I am about to make one, but it would be impossible for one person to voluntarily update the translation on regular basis. Perhaps, some online solution for translating would be worth the price, so that many people can easily update the translation?

Other languages is something we are looking into, so thanks for your sharing the interest. Out of the box, we provide base .po and .mo files for customers to use to translate to the language of their choice, but we will definitely be looking into other options for this in the future. I’m looking at purchasing the theme, but have one question before I do.
I noticed in your video that the website you show has stacked elements on top of each other. Is there a feature in the theme to do that or would I need to create my own page and code in the stack elements. Just to be clear I’m not talking about your naming of stacks, but stacks as in sections that expand the whole width of the screen. So I can add different background colors and images to each section.

I have made a 3 page website using the blank page template, the pages look great but when i click visit site it displays a blog post not the home page that i designed.
I have looked in all of the setting to try and find a way to set the homepage but i couldn’t find anything. Usually it is done through the customiser, but not with your theme.
Can you please instruct me on how to set the home page.

I am familiar with Visual Composer (it is good), I think I understand that you have made adjustments to it for your theme. Does the X Theme contain the Integrity, Renew, Icon & Ethos as optional formats of the theme or are they separate?
If they are optional then is it basically you are choosing which menu style you want to use with some loadable built in templates within the Visual Composer? If so that is cool, that gives the option of choosing a menu style and then using the Visual Composer templates or starting from scratch to create everything else.
I see that you have demos made, do you plan on creating any themed demos? I mean like a restaurant demo and other industry themed demos where a user can upload the demo completely and then work with it from that point.
Everything looks good on the surface, can’t wait to hear some more details.

All of the Stacks are included with the theme. Our integrated version of VC is also included with purchases.
Please be sure to read about the unique features of each Stack on the link above.
Visual Composer is integrated into the theme to allow customers the chance to use our Shortcodes in a more visual manner. Menu style is not related to that as core structural settings are handled in our Customizer (video on that page showing our Customizer in action).

If you are using Visual Composer to build pages then you would be using VC to edit the page content. We do not have any specific public videos of that, however we do offer detailed video tutorials of how to use VC and each Shortcode in our member center.

So if I want to create my own pages from start I can start with a blank slate and just the menu will be at the top and then I can use VC to do everything I want?
I ask because I got another theme thinking I had full page control but am limited to the Customizer.

Yes, VC is a page builder for building elements (Shortcodes) on a page. There are several page templates including blank templates included that allow you to layout virtually any layout you wish.
Question about licenses on subdomains. As I’m redesigning a client’s website, I’ll use a sub-domain of their site as a way to preview the site (ei, newsite.domain.com).
Are there any authentication issues associated with starting on a subdomain and moving the final site to a different domain with one license?

You’ll be good to go. A verified purchase allows you to create a Themeco API key that can be used once, and it allows you to change sources as long as it is only being used once.

Hi there – I purchased your theme and my client wants me to put an email sign-up form in the header above the mail navigation. We are using mailchimp. Can you give me an idea of the best way to do this in the Icon stack?

Out of the box, you could add it in the optional header widget area by first placing a text/html widget then adding the provided code from MailChimp. Beyond that, you would need to customize the header to make enough room for the optin form on the site or use a 3rd party plugin such as Hellobar. Our 3.0 release coming up next will have some exciting news on the MailChimp front but can’t spill the beans on that quite yet

I purchased this a few days back. I am enjoying the theme but the login to the support area is very frustrating. I have tried to register but I am told that my purchase code is already assigned to another Envato account. I only have one.
I cannot get a password reset as my email address is not recognised.

Had a question regarding licences:: I’ve a client who requires 2 separate domains for his business with very similar design and content – will one licence of the theme work for both the domains or will I need to purchase a separate licence for each of them?

Regarding the licenses, it is for a single use on one domain, so if you had 2 separate domains, you would need to purchase 2 regular licenses.

The license is for a single use, so if you wanted to use X on say 3 sites you would simply purchase 3 regular licenses.
You will not need to pay extra when 3.0 is released. It will be made available to our customers for free!

Just installed the theme. Love all the options. But I lost my menu. I click on assign a menu, I tick all the boxes of each page I want back, I save. And still nothing happens! Am a bit nervous, because already a lot of clients are checking my site. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
