Wonderfully designed theme! Congratulations.
Akin to a recent question here. I would prefer that members do not access the wp-admin back-end but want to make sure that they won’t miss out on anything if I find a plugin that makes this possible. Is there anything that they cannot do or get on the front-end that is available in the back?
When I used demo/demo log in and found my way to wp-admin, through the edit button of an article draft, I saw ‘clients,’ ‘testimonials,’ and ‘grid elements.’ What are these things?
Second, for the life of me I cannot see where/how to enter ‘my sites.’ I think this would be useful for my members to highlight non-profit organizations that they recommend. I wonder if extra fields can be included, too, in this section. Or am I misunderstanding what this section is about?
Third, I so want to use ‘geo my wordpress’ plugin. It makes so much sense for this type of site to add location as a search/filter for members, articles, groups and events. ‘Geo my wordpress’ offers filter types beyond location, too, so it seems like the complete answer to my search/filter needs. However, I see mixed messages over time in the comments section, here, about its compatibility with your theme. Can you tell me where it stands today? Or should I be asking the folks behind the plugin?
Lastly, one little thing that I hope you can tell me how to fix. Whenever you are on a member page and you scroll down to see more of the content under one of the tab headings (profile, media, articles, etc.) and you click on another heading, the page takes a second and then reloads at the top of the page. And then you have to scroll down, again, to read the content—and so on. It is taxing. Is there a way for me to fix this or is there a browser where it doesn’t work this way. I’ve tried Firefox and Safari. And will it do this, too, when folks are using mobile devices?
With all that your theme has going for it, I regret bringing up this last point but I can feel the frustration of my members, already.

One other question: Member blog posts are important to my purpose. Right now, when someone clicks on a post under the ‘my articles’ tab of a member page, they are taken to the article on the site blog. It makes sense but to get back to the members other blog posts, only, they have to use the back button. I am not sure how intuitive that is going to be and, also, it leaves too much room for the user to move onto something that grabs their attention in the site blog. So I am thinking about customizing this part of the theme so that the blog posts are displayed within the articles section or appear in a popup. Added to this would be search by category and tags for this member, only.
In other words, I’d like the articles section to act more like the media section. I know that you cannot do this for me but because this is your code, I need to ask: Do you see this as a huge project, or fairly easy? I would leave the site blog as is. Thank you!

1. There’s nothing to loose when blocking wp-admin access, and it’s recommended to do so. There are a lot of plugins out there which does this.
2. My sties tab is enabled by wordpress multisite environment, you should do a little bit of research by yourself on this subject, both about wp multisite and buddypress multisite integration
3. There shouldn’t be any conflicts between geo my wp and kleo, but if there will be any, we’ll be glad to help you fix them.
4. For this problem we can give you a quick fix.
5. You should better contact the developer of the “Social Articles” plugin.

From the theme panel i can change the Portfolio link. I want to change the archive slug (where all the categories show). I have changed the Portfolio link but in the archive categories the link is still example.com/portfolio-category/sample-category.

You can do that using the “Paid Membership Pro” plugin which we have a full integration. You can set multiple levels and restrict your pages by membership levels.
There will also be a badge on each user profile with the name of the membership level.

Oh, i’m sorry, looking for a demo I’ve saw that i’ve misunderstood the situation, you can only see your own level as a badge in the profile,, but we’re looking forward to add that also for other profiles as soon as possible. I can provide you a small code meanwhile if you really need this feature.
About the ranking system, you’ll have to find an additional buddypress plugin which has this features.

No because that’s the way facebook login works, that’s how you’ll find it on any site that uses facebook login and we can’t change that.

Hi, the groups and profiles are managed by the “BuddyPress” plugin, not directly by our theme. You can customize the fields from a profile but i don’t think you can do that for groups, not out of the box. You might end up searching for additional buddypress plugins which offers such features.

It seems that you have a plugin which conflicts with the popup script from our theme. You should disable your plugins one by one until you find the one which produces the issue.

I actually renamed magnific popup under Kleo’s resource directories to solve that problem but it seems that wasn’t the correct fix… This is one thing which bothers me about Wordpress, the conflict of plugins…
Renaming it won’t fix your issue for sure. It really seems to be a plugin conflict, from what I’ve saw you’re using a lot of them.

Yes, I hope so too. Renaming it fixed the login form issue but I have double lightboxes when I try to show a picture from the flickr gallery.
Is there a way to disable Magnific for Kleo? It is intercepting all the gallery popup requests… And I end up displayin 2 lightboxes at the same time…
No there’s no out of the box option to do so, and if you somehow manage to do so, there are a lot of places where it’s used and you’ll lose those galleries/popups.
You should find a plugin which helps you do whatever you need without interfering with magnific popup script.

It does have an option to not to use a lightbox other than the system one which is your magnific version, but why can’t I use another lightbox with Kleo other than the builtin magnific lightbox? That’s where the problem is, both of you guys must be tying in to the same hooks or whatever, his has an option to disable but Kleo does not, am I correct, if not please help me.
From what i see that plugin gives you the option to select from multiple lightbox libraries. Please try to switch between them until you find one that doesn’t interfere with our one. His is just a plugin, ours covers more aspects from the entire theme. This kind of conflicts are a known issue between wordpress themes and plugins, you just have to find a point where they doesn’t come in conflict.

Yes, but the thing is when I disable that plugin, Kleo’s version of the Magnific lightbox has a line of xxxxxxxxxxxxx on top the pictures and the contrast is a bit off, is this just me or that xxxxxxxxxxx natural with Kleo?

My first page broke totally down, so i made a reinstall of wordpress,buddypress and the theme. But after buddypress can’t acces the database. When i click on any profile, member or such page, it commes up with an error. The database is set up right and i can find the members in the database. Can you help me??

Hello, A few questions before I buy: I’d like to use gravity forms with their user registration add-on to add custom fields to the BP member profiles and display the fields on the profile – Any issues with this?
I also need to be able to allow BP members to create events and public viewers to access them as well as members of any level to RSVP to them, something like the WPMU DEV, Events+ plugin, any idea on how best to achieve this?
What kind of media player is used for BP members when they load audio and video? Are playlists possible?
Last, I need to use Amazon S3 & Cloudfront + the Amazon Web Services plugin’s by Brad Touesnard for CDN and BP members media storage, any issues with this?

There shouldn’t be any problems with additional plugins. At maximum some of them will probably need a few layout/design improvements to match our theme.
GravityForms should work ok without any problems. Unfortuantely I can’t recommend you anything for the events side. It’s really up to you and to your needs.
The audio player from our theme is powered by Media Elements, and it doesn’t support out of the box playlists.
About storage, once again, you’ll extend wp functionality and it shouldn’t interfere in any way with our theme.

Not in the main menu. But you can add a search box in your sidebar using widgets for example.
