Does X come with the grid overlay that I have seen in some themes (or any other content protection for images) to prevent people from right clicking to save my images locally to their hard drive ?
There is not a theme feature for image protection as something like that should be in a separate plugin and not part of the core theme files.

I bought another theme here called Impressive but it does not support WPML (even if it said it will), and since I saw that you said your theme support WPML, can you please tell me if you REALLY support multi-language using WPML?

Yes! We do support WPML, and it’s the plugin we recommend first for translations. X is fully localized, so you should be able to translate any text we have in the code. Then WPML can help you translate your content.
I have a pre-sale question regarding the header area of the theme. Is it possible to have the logo to the left hand side of the header area and on the right hand side a section of text or a graphic with would be the company strapline. Underneath would sit the menu.

That particular menu is very similar to a standard layout of logo on the left, menu on the right. We also have an optional TopBar that users can activate that enables them to show social links in the header.
There is a lot of versatility with headers in X. For starters, each Stack has its own unique look, feel, and design then within the Customizer (how you administer your X-powered site) you can move the header to the top, left, or right and as big or skinny as you’d like. Definitely check out some of our different demos as they give a good example of what is possible out of the box.

Hi could you tell me how to place script in the header.php file? It’s not google analytics, but a different company that needs site verification. It’s a ‘meta name’ type script. Can I just put it in the header.php for my present stack? It doesn’t seem so. Thanks.

We recommend putting all your custom JavaScript in the footer section to follow best practice standards. You can do that by going into your Customizer > Custom > JavaScript and add the JavaScript there. If for some reason you are required to put the JavaScript into the head section the first step would be to create a child theme and then enqueue the custom JavaScript in the functions.php file of the child theme. If you need help with the implementation feel free to join our member area here and open a topic in our support forum.

F.Y.I. – the start after purchase… – try to install on a new standard WP clean installation. – upload_max_filesize restriction in php.ini error!
Your documentation says: To install X, you can do so in one of two ways: 1. The Simple, No Brainer, “**Piece of Cake Way:””” Upload the provided .zip file via the the WordPress Admin Panel. To do so, go to “Appearance” > “Themes” in the menu, then select the “Install Themes” tab at the top of the page. Once you are at this page, select “Upload,” then “Choose File” to locate the .zip foler on your computer. After doing so, select “Install Now.”
- the provided .zip ? which name is… ? it looks like something is missing…
anyway – install it manually suppose to be the one and only solution…

Make sure that you’re uploading the x.zip file not the x_package.zip file which is the container zip of our theme, documentation and extensions. The upload_max_filesize most likely gets triggered due to the fact that you’re trying to upload the x_package.zip file instead of the x.zip file which is much smaller.
can theme X shortcodes be used in visual composer?

With the way this theme is structured, can you have the main install be one ‘stack’ and have various pages be from another stack ? Also, is it possible to have a no navigation landing page ? Thanks

The Stacks can not be interchanged as they are completely unique designs with their own unique features, however you definitely can have a page with no navigation as we provide several blank templates (which can be used no matter which Stack you have selected).

hi – is there any chance you can make the update so all of us who use Visual Composer can use the normal VC like we do in other themes? In checking there seems to be many differences from the normal VC process that would take a long time to learn. And incompatability with Ultimate VC add-ons, etc. which I need and am using in my current site.
I understand why you use some custom version, but it doesn’t make it easy to change themes from our prior one on a site that had been built with normal VC.
Please consider VC integration like other themes (the7, Avada) where you can use VC (+ extensions) normally, using the plugin from the original developer. The modified version looks very different/non-intuitive compared to normal VC, I didn’t know this or I likely wouldn’t have bought the theme.
My question, which yes I posted in your forum but want a Public answer here, is how do I easily convert an existing theme with VC-built site to using your theme? It looks like I’d have to completely start over to change pages, and lose my ultimate VC addon functionality my site depends upon, and re-create every page from scratch in X, using your isolated/custom version of VC. What to do? Most of us, want changing from one theme using VC to another theme using VC…how do I do that?

We’ve explained in the front end (sales page, FAQ page) and in our member center here how and why we use a customized version of VC within X.
Customers do have the option now to switch off X shortcodes within VC and use standard VC features and as of our 4.0 release we will have more announcements with regards to this, so stay tuned to the release notes for the latest on that.

in searching, it looks like your version of VC looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/aO104Tk.png which is nothing like the regular VC I use… trying to figure out how to easily migrate to your theme?
when searching comments here (search ‘visual composer’), apparently a lot of other people have a lot of trouble w/your VC integration… I would recommend to use VC like all other topseller theme authors do, in it’s normal format, to avoid problems. thanks for your consideration, I’ll need to hold off on using this unless I can use my current site’s standard VC-generated pages w/X. would appreciate any tips, thanks.
as one of Envato’s top buyers, i build all my sites using normal VC, your version looks hard to learn, and hassle compared to using normal VC, I hope you consider making yours normal VC use in update, for all us normal VC users, who also use VC extensions etc. thanks for your consideration! I have no time to learn how to use non-custom VC, I use Normal VC for all WP sites.
The article referenced above explains everything to date, and there will definitely be a big announcement with regards to this at the time we launch 4.0 within a month so definitely be on the lookout for that.

Yes, that would be fine. Many customers install the theme on a local or testing environment while putting their shiny new X-powered site together As far as purchasing, that would be up to you and how you want to organize the licenses and/or who you are purchasing the license for (if they are to have access to our forums, they will want to be the ones purchasing it – if you are going to be managing it for them, you would most likely be the one purchasing it).

hello i have some pre-sale questions please
1. Do you intend to include schema.org markup in your code? So that pages and posts will use structured data automatically ? Other themes use complete schema.org structured data in their code so for example on one of my websites in webmasters tools I can see a lot of them : WP header, footer, menu, blog post, article, breadcrumbs, etc
2. My second question is somehow related to the first one. It’s a question about the breadcrumbs. Any reason why you did not use the structured data markup for the breadcrumbs ? Do you plan on doing this in the future.
So to sum up : Are you working on implementing all schema.org markup in your code/theme ? If yes, do you have an approximate time for it ? I noticed you had a big advertisement about version 4 of X, with a lot of new features. Perhaps this is one of these new features ?
If your theme would use structured data completely for blog posts, articles, breadcrumbs etc etc i would buy it right this second

Yes, we do have plans to implement schema markup at some point in the near future, but we do not have a definitive timeline on this at the moment. v4.0 of X includes some other big improvements to our overall offering, but at this time schema markup will not be included in that particular release.

Hello guys, great theme, congrats on the good work. I have a problem with LayerSlider you might be able to help me with. I’ve encountered and read online there is a problem with Vimeo embeds when the videos are set to “Hide from Vimeo”. Basically, when this setting is on and embedded in a slide, the video does not show at all. Since these are only small clips, and I plan to link them to their respective portfolios, I do not want them to be public on my Vimeo site. Is there a way to solve this?

BTW, I’m trying to change the class on the “social sharing” shortcode. The plan is to either a) change the color on the white “margins” (or “border”, or “outline”, have tried them all, but I still can’t figure out what they are) or b) completely take them out. Any recommendations? Thanks

Re- API key: Can the same key be used for a local installation and live installation? i.e. I want to test/develop on a localhost (xampp windows PC) before launching on live apache server – but of course don’t want to buy two licences to do this.

Moving and regenerating API keys can be done as often as needed so the recommended way would be to generate an API key for your local installation and then install all extensions and once you’re done with this you can regenerate your API key and validate your live installation. You won’t lose any access or features on your local installation the only thing that the validation is affecting are automatic updates which is a feature that is intended for the live installation. Manually updating your local installation is possible at any time, the validation just makes it easier to update your live site.
How can we update the Visual Composer to the most up-to-date version? I noticed in another theme that the version is 4.4.2 and in this theme we only get 4.3.5

Is there a way to offset the wordpress admin panel from the full-screen slider of slider revolution? I know you can specify containers to offset, and I’ve already included the .masthead container, but what is the container for the wp admin panel?

The WordPress admin panel is positioned absolute and therefore not interferes with your slider/website. Only people who are logged into your WordPress installation can see the panel and you can turn it off under “Users > Edit User > Show Toolbar when viewing site”.
