Hi!! I have purchase the theme agile, and in the zip file is missing the xml demo content, can you send me by mail please is barbara@eltallerdelasideas.com.mx

The sample data xml file link is located in the ReadMe.txt file located in the root folder obtained after unzipping the theme download bundle. Thanks for your purchase.
Hi. I’m on a 2013 MacBook air in Chrome and the scrolling on the site just seems jacked up. whenever i scroll, it seems to be hijacking the default scroll distance trying to snap to blog sections or something…
how do i turn this off? is that possible? the austin theme seems to be doing this as well, but not enigmatic.
I’d like to purchase this theme today if can turn this feature/bug off.
thanks!
doesn’t seem to happen on safari tho. one thing i am seeing though on both browsers is about 20px of padding offscreen to the right…you can scroll over and see it tho. a big pet peeve of mine. this usually occurs when some nested element is too wide. video: http://screencast.com/t/wsDrkQzz
Let me have a look at these issues in next few hours and get back to you. Have been busy with a major update for one of our themes. The scrollbar is something that has to do with Visual Composer using Bootstrap 3 and using negative margins to achieve left and right padding in full width layouts. There is extensive discussion here about the same and there seems to be – https://github.com/twbs/bootstrap/issues/10711.
Let me revisit this once and get back to you.
Hello, On my home page, i added the testamonials slider. How can i adjust the gap between the quation and the slider dots on the bottom?
http://www.gohobot.comThank you!
.testimonials2-slider-container .flex-control-nav {
top: -30px;
}
If you want to reduce the testimonials segment padding also include the below custom CSS -
div#testimonials2.segment {
padding: 20px 0 20px 0;
}
Hi guys, password for the forum is not coming in. Can you help?
Can you pls send me an email via http://themeforest.net/user/LiveMesh#contact with your user id and I will have the id setup for you with the password and required access to the forum? Thanks for your purchase.
Hi Livemesh, you mentioned the below comment and I’d really like to know the CSS to create a landing page with no navigation please. I don’t want to see the header nor the logo in the upper left. THANKS!
“You can set a custom menu for a page in the page edit window under Advanced Entry Options-> Choose Custom Primary Navigation Menu. And that custom menu can be empty or have a single menu item like contact for this page. Alternatively you can hide the menu entirely for the page using Custom CSS. Pls let me know if the first option does not meet your need and I can help with the custom CSS.”
.wrap {
display: none;
}
You can also try this -
#header { display: none; }
Is there a way to use your code above (both) to remove the header in CSS for only the page template with a sidebar? Or any other way to limit how the header is removed only on certain pages or types? I love the landing page look it has right now but want the navigation back on some of the other pages.
Sure you can do the same. Pls see following post for an example of this -
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-target-a-specific-pageHello, How do i add background image to to a page section? Thanks!
Kindly use segment shortcode for the same – there you can specify the background image URL. Inorder to get better clarity pls go through the agile documentation and it is mentioned under Segment shortcodes. If you are using visual composer in “Row Settings” you will have an option to add background image.
I havn’t found any of that in the documentation . I only see assets—>css, custom, fonts, images, js. and then i also have the licensing folder and the rev slider instructions. But i don’t see any theme instructions ( beside the readme for installation ) Can you direct me to that file? Thank you.
There is a folder named “Agile Documentation” which has index.html page which you can open to view documentation. This folder should be visible after you unzip the bundle downloadable from ThemeForest.
Found it…Thanks!
Hi there,
I have a Question about the Background, like in the Example. How can I get a moving Background, like the quote from Albert Einstein and the Lady in the Background with the Umbrella? Everytime when I scroll down, I can see more of the Picture in the Background. Instead of having a stitic picture I would like to have it like this. Could you help me out?
Best wishes from Switzerland, Philipp
[segment id="client-testimonials1" class="dark-bg" background_color='#374a4e' style='padding:50px 0;' background_image="http://example.com/background3.jpg" parallax_background="true" background_speed="0.4"]
If you are using visual composer specify background as parallax_background.
Pls go through the agile documentation and it is mentioned under Segment shortcodes.
Alternatively you can add a row in visual composer which has an option to set the parallax background.
Hi,
I bought and installed the theme on hclnordic.no.
I have one problem though, When your on the blog (hclnordic.no/blog) your are not able to press any of the menu items except ‘forside’ (frontpage).
I’ve used the menu structure from the demo content. Can you tell me how I can fix this?
Pls open a thread in the forum and I will be able to send you a fix for this. More details on this issue here -
http://support.portfoliotheme.org/forums/topic/main-navigation-not-working-on-subpages/Will have an update ready this week with this fix applied.
Have replied to your thread in the forum with the fix. I did not notice you already one thread started there.
Okay, cool. I’ll wait for the then update. So I dont mess things up
hi, do know when the update is coming?
Thanks for reminding us. The update will be submitted in next few hours!
Hi, Do you have an ETA on when the update is live?
The update has been submitted. Expecting it to be live anytime on Monday Australian time once the reviewers get to approve the same. Thanks for your patience.
How do I best install it? – will it change how my website looks and break any code?
The way I update is to replace all files. No matter what method you use (there are plugins too like this – http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/ to update easily), you will need to backup your changes and redo any changes you made to the files on the new installation.
Use tools like DiffMerge or WinMerge to compare the old and new files and redo the changes. You will spend probably an hour doing this but not more, specially if you have made changes only to a few select files. The settings data will stay and hence Custom CSS entered into theme options should be fine. It’s always a good idea to have a backup though. Hope this helps.
Best way to protect yourself from theme updates is to always make changes in the child theme. The theme is mostly child theme friendly and hence when you have time, you can probably go through the changes you have made to the core theme files and try to move them to child theme so that the core files are not affected and upgrades are smoother.
The slider on the first page of Live Preview is pretty nice. Can I place it on every page and adjust its height?
Thanks for your interest. You can use it in multiple pages. And you can change the height of the slider in the slider options.
I bought this thema, but the downloaded file I found several files. I downloaded the “agile”. I want the site to look like at the presentation. What to do?
Thanks for choosing Agile.
You will have to install the theme and the sample data. You can download the sample data from the link provided in the “README – Importing sample data and replicating demo site.txt” file.
You can watch this video for instructions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maHDG7TRDQs
Hi! I just bought the theme and installed the sample data at http://totsense.com/ It appears that the text in the “stetched” mode isn’t staying within the 1140px box. What am I doing wrong?
Is this issue happening for sample data too? Pls make sure you choose “In Container” as the value for the Type attribute in the Visual Composer row settings and not Full Width. If you are not using Visual Composer, pls use [segment] shortcode to limit the content to the 1140px box. More information on [segment] shortcode in the documentation. If you still have trouble, pls send me a temp login via profile page of mine. Currently I do not see the theme activated on your domain. Thanks for your purchase.
Hi,
I am getting this error when I upload the theme and activate it. Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_set_shortcodes_templates_dir() in /home4/redbat75/public_html/clickthru.marketing/wp-content/themes/agile/framework/framework.php on line 40
I’ve tried installing through Dashboard and through cPanel file manager too.
Looks like you have a older version of visual composer activated. Pls delete and activate the 4.x version of the composer that comes bundled with the theme. Thanks for your purchase.
I would like to display small post thumbnails on my general blog page right next to the post excerpt. (on the right) But the theme keeps resizing images to the full width. Any help would be welcome.
page in question: http://notapenguin.nl/blog/
.blog .default-list .image-area {
display: block;
margin: 0;
width:auto;
}
.blog #content .hentry .entry-summary {
width: 50%;
float: right;
margin-top: -190px;
}
To be clear, I would like the list to display the image in the original size (featured image size) which I fixed for all images at 360×240. This is the same as the images on my home page in the post snippets caroussel.
.blog .default-list img {
width: auto;
}
.blog .image-info {
display: none;
}
.blog .image-info-buttons i {
display: none;
}
Now you can give the float right property and all to the entry summary.
.blog .default-list img {
width: auto;
float: right;
}
.blog .image-info {
display: none;
}
.blog .image-info-buttons i {
display: none;
}
.blog .default-list .image-area {
display: block;
margin: 0;
width:auto;
}
.blog #content .hentry .entry-summary {
width: 55%;
float: left;
margin-top: -244px;
}
.read-more {
margin-top: -50px;
display: block;
}
.image-area {
position: relative;
/* overflow: hidden; */
/* line-height: 0; */
}
Now the only problem is the image animation that is still moving up, how do i turn that off?
.blog .image-area:hover .thumbnail {
-webkit-transform: none !important;
-moz-transform: none !important;
-ms-transform: none !important;

Sorry it is hard for us to support all plugins. Anyway, I checked the page linked by you but cannot see anything related to the plugin itself as per your screenshot – have you disabled it?
I have a challenge involving the display of video in a post. Currently a post always displays a video at the block width instead of the embed width that I entered. How can I prevent this from happening?
I have a challenge involving the display of video in a post. Currently a post always displays a video at the block width instead of the embed width that I entered. How can I prevent this from happening?
Are you saying the video adjusts to the available width? It is by design to achieve responsive behavior. Pls clarify so that I can help better. Thanks
Example: http://notapenguin.nl/2014/10/06/positionering-rabobank-een-verwaarloosd-achtertuintje/
here I posted three youtube video’s, specifically using the width and heigth tags in the embed to set them to a specific size, and the theme seems to override this and display them at full size
I would like to be able to determine the size of the video it should display
Pls remove the following line from js/main.js file at around line number 783 and you should be able to disable responsiveness of the videos -
$("#content, #sidebar-primary, #footer").fitVids();
You can also wrap them in column shortcodes to specific width of your choice if you want to retain responsiveness of the videos.
That works, thank you!
I created a website at stage2.mlf.org. Haven’t looked at it for a while (busy with other project). When I got back to it, the sub menus linked to the page sections don’t work anymore.
Ex: What We Do->About->Board of Directors got 404 error, “The page you requested http://stage2.mlf.org/page-section/board-of-directors/, does not exist”
That page section does exist. When I click “View Page” in the page section, it also spit out the same error.
Has anything changed between May and now? Could you please help to look into this?
Thanks. Thu
For me the link
http://stage2.mlf.org/page-section/board-of-directors/is working fine. No 404 error.
Thanks LiveMesh. I reset the theme menu and it seems to work fine now. Thu
Hi,
How Can I disable responsiveness? I have installed product catalog plugic (UPC) and there are some glitches
There is no option to disable responsiveness in the theme. You can undo responsiveness by writing custom CSS but I would rather fix the plugin with custom CSS than modify the theme.
Hi, I have a problem with this theme when it goes responsive. There is a little white space on the right that make the page horizontally scrollable. Tested on Nexus5 with chrome browser.
The same issue appear on your demo site ( portfoliotheme.org/agile/ ). How can I fix it?
Thank you
I don’t own a Nexus 5 unfortunately but I tested the demo site with the emulator for Nexus 5 in developer tools and no horizontal scroll bar showed up. Is this scroll area sizeable one or just a small one which does not distract the user too much? Are there specific page sections whose content shows up on the right or is it entire page whose content is showing up on horizontal scroll? Pls let me know. Thanks. Appreciate you reporting this to us.
You can reproduce the problem also using Firefox tool (ctrl-shift-M): once the site is loaded, you can use the right arrow key of the keyboard to “scroll” right. No bars appear, but if you use the keys on firefox or you swipe right on android, the page move horizontally. Here’s a video that shows the problem on both firefox tool and my nexus5: http://youtu.be/f-_y4-RXJIE
I found a temporary solution setting: #container { overflow: hidden; } but I’m not sure this will not make a mess in other template features, but in my case it seems to work ok.
It should be ok to set #container { overflow-x: hidden; }. Actually it is required for Bootstrap 3 (used by Visual Composer) to work correctly with full width layouts like ours. See discussion here -
https://github.com/twbs/bootstrap/issues/10711We do have body { overflow-x: hidden; } in our theme but looks it is not taking effect here for some reason. Again, as I said the emulator seems to work well.
