Hi, it’s been a year since i commented about php versions, are you planning to add support for php > 7.4? Some assets of your theme are working only with php7.4 which is EOL since 2022. You should support at least php8.2.

When editing a visual composer section or row or other widgets, in the styling tab, users can choose a background overlay. At a time, in a update, you added an opacity option for the background overlay. This opacity is prefilled with a value when you add a row/section and enable the overlay. For rows/sections that have been created before you add the opacity option, the opacity value is null. When changing to php8.2 there is an error in brook/framework/class-visual-composer.php line 756 as the variable value is null and php exits with an error (Unsupported operand types: string / int) After investigating your code i found out that in all widgets that the site owner had enabled the background overlay there wasnt any value set in the opacity (i dont know if opacity didnt exist at that time or it wasnt prefilled automatically).
Real example. A site developed some years ago. No data, design, portfolios are changed since and the theme updated whenever an update was available. Changing the php from 7.4 to 8.2 crashes with error. The solution for the user is to open every row/section/widget in pages, posts, portfolios etc and set an opacity value when background overlay is set, in order to work.
You should add a check on this code in order to not do a division if the value is null and return 1 (100/100), as it’s impossible to check all rows, sections, widgets etc for null opacity when having background overlay “on” without opacity for old data.

Hi, i dont want to check my customer’s setup, i fixed them. You can add checks in your code in order to bypass divisions with 0 values to be sure that old customers wont have problems when setup the website before the theme features updates.

Since March 3, my default font has changed and all text appears in ‘bold’. The settings have not been changed by me. After I just updated the BROOK theme, it didn’t change anything in the situation. I hope you can provide a solution to my problem soon.

Thats not the isue, it’s the AVG that blacklisted the url I speak about, see the screenshot. The Hosting has nothing to do with it, further more this is happening at 2 diffent websites than run on diffent hosting
