Hi Andres
Did you choose ‘Full Page Width – No Container’ when editing a row you want to be full width?

Hi, there!
I have a questions about the Contact Us page http://omipromotions.com/contact-us/:- There is a strange white blocks http://take.ms/8YckW
- We have this error and sometimes IE11 corrupt http://take.ms/myCqe
- In the map plugin “dragged:false” is not working.
Hi there
Your username doesn’t have a ‘Purchased’ badge next to your name. If you can send your purchase code along with a copy of this message to support@commercegurus.com we can help then.

Hi! Could you please give me a suggested .htaccess to ensure that your template is correctly running and no exploits are possible against it?
Hi there
We have no recommendation for that. There are a lot of blog posts on WordPress security which you could look for, it’s not specific to the theme.

Simon
Good afternoon, I write you in order to explain you a couple of problems that we have with your template. Often, when we are editing any element of the Visual Composer we have an alert explaining that “if we close this window, we’ll lose all the settings of the shortcodes”. Once this alert appears we cannot do anything else, we cannot delete any element and when we try to modify any content of that element, it automatically deletes the actual content and duplicates all the page inside that element.
Plus, in the “contact” page there is the map but we can’t see it. We could before but not now. We haven’t done any change, that’s why we don’t know what could have happened.
I hope you understand both of our problems and give us a solution. Thanks in advance.
Hi there
For 1) Can you first make sure you’re running the latest version of the theme with the latest copy of Visual Composer. Also, make sure you use Visual Composer only in the ‘Backend view’, .i.e. not the frontend editor.
Re: 2 – Google Maps has changed the rendering slightly, if you add this snippet to Captiva Theme Options > Custom Code it should fix it.
.content-area #cap-map-container img {
max-width: inherit !important;
}

Hi, very nice theme.
I have two presales questions.
1.
My customer has a variety of dimensions in his Woocommerce shop.
This means that the product thumbnails always have different heights.
Does this theme support this without cropping the image?
2.
Is it possible to set the List View (for Woocommerce category pages) as default?
Kind regards,
Jurgen
Hi Jurgen,
Apologies for the delay and thanks for your interest in Captiva!
1) You can have different sizes of the product thumbnails – crop is a setting in WooCommerce. I’d recommend you do switch it on though. WordPress generally doesn’t do a great job with irregular image sizes, I’d tend to export all images of the same size in Photoshop before importing – it’s better in the long run.
2) You can switch on list view by default, yes

Simon
Hi There,
Very nice theme. We are looking for a theme that can be used for a multi store website like Etsy, Ebay etc. So we need to use the Woocommerce Product vendors plugin. Will this theme work with that plugin OK?
Kindest Regards
Hylton
Hi there,
Honestly we don’t know – we’ve never tested the theme with that plugin so we couldn’t confirm this.
That is quite a sophisticated plugin that changes the nature of how WooCommerce is used so my guess would be that there would be some issues (just guessing).
Colm
Hello there,
I did the Wordpress Update 4.3.1 and now I can see on my Wordpress : Your theme (Captiva) has outdated copies of certain templates WooCommerce. How can I fix it. You can see the problem on my website : www.otziparis.com
Many thanks in advance,
Bests,
ALex
Hi there Alex,
Those errors you see on your website are not related to the theme – they’re related to one of your plugins using old deprecated constructors which WP 4.3 now flag as you see on your site.
Try deactivating your plugins to find which one is causing the issue (And also switch off WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file.
For your WooCommerce outdated files you just need to update to the latest version of the theme.
Best,
Colm
Hi Colm,
Thanks for the answer. I think the update are done but I’m not sure, should I do them from the Wordpress page, update? Or should I download the theme on themeforest and install it again?
I have this version: CaptivaVersion : 1.4.2 , is it the last one?
Hi there,
No – the latest version is 1.7.1
Colm
Ok thank you very much Colm. Bests, Alex
Is it (easily) possible to create a drop down Woocommerce product categories widget that will only show on views when the left sidebar is shifted below.
I’m thinking I’ll have to:
- register a new widget area for the Woocommerce product categories drop down - do a little bit of template work to show the newly declared widget area but visible-xs etc only - hide the existing Woocomerce shop sidebar area on the views where the newly declared area is visible
Does that sound about right? Or, is there a much simpler option that I missed? Thanks!
Hi there!
That sounds about right.
You should be able to do it via a child theme. Register the widget area in your child theme functions.php for starters.
Offhand I can’t think of any easier way of doing it.
Best,
Colm
Thanks, Colm.
I appreciate the confirmation before I start hammering away. I also shot you an Envato message about your availability.
Thanks again for the assistance.
Love the theme!
I have a couple of questions.
I’d like it if I could show an add to cart button on the default shop page in list view?
I can add this to functions.php of the child theme: add_action( ‘woocommerce_after_shop_loop_item_title’, ‘woocommerce_external_add_to_cart’ );
But I’d really like to have it on a new line after the excerpt.
I’m assuming I’d have to then put it in captiva-child/woocommerce/content-product.php
If so, what is the best way to implement it? Or is there a different way to do it?
Here’s what I’m trying in captiva-child/woocommerce/content-product.php:
<div class="cap-product-excerpt">
<?php the_excerpt(); ?>
</div>
<p class="cart">
<?php do_action( 'woocommerce_after_shop_loop_item' ); ?><!-- end after shop loop item -->
</p>
It’s working, but I’m not sure it’s the best option. Thanks for your feedback!
Hi there,
It’s probably the best solution given your specific requirement. There already is an add to cart button on the list view – you just have to hover over the item image to see it – so you’re essentially adding the same thing again – but that’s probably easier than re-styling/re-positioning the existing one.
Best,
Colm
Yea, I saw that. That’s how I worked in my solution. Thanks for the assistance
Hi! First of all, Great theme indeed!
But I have a similar problem as many – the Checkout part of the theme is not completely translated. I use Russian for my website and everything else looks beautiful.
You say we should work with .po and .mo , but I see only “captivalang.pot” in my installation folders.
Pryvet!
(That’s all the Russian I have)
Ok so for translation, there are two parts – WooCommerce translation and theme translation. The first part (and the checkout screen) should be solved by using the appropriate language pack for WooCommerce.
We have a guide here which hopefully helps:

Hi Simon, thank you for the advice. However it did not work for me since those Checkout phrases seem to be theme specific. They are not used in WooCommerce word lists. I have solved it today by adding Loco Translate plugin and adding Russian translation to Captiva. It did not require translating all strings – only those that were not translated on my site (thanks God only this!!).
Hi there,
The strings are definitely in the .pot file – see here
#: woocommerce/cart/mini-cart.php:50 woocommerce/woocommerce-config.php:196 #: woocommerce/woocommerce-config.php:260 msgid "No products in the cart." msgstr "" #: woocommerce/cart/mini-cart.php:58 woocommerce/woocommerce-config.php:204 #: woocommerce/woocommerce-config.php:268 msgid "Subtotal" msgstr "" #: woocommerce/cart/mini-cart.php:63 woocommerce/woocommerce-config.php:210 #: woocommerce/woocommerce-config.php:274 msgid "View Cart" msgstr "" #: woocommerce/cart/mini-cart.php:64 woocommerce/woocommerce-config.php:210 #: woocommerce/woocommerce-config.php:274 msgid "Checkout" msgstr ""
You do not need to use any other plugins.
Assuming you added the correct values to your .po file then my guess is that you were seeing cached values as per the instructions in our guide https://commercegurus.freshdesk.com/solution/articles/5000627749NOTE: If you still see English strings in your cart and have definitely translated all English strings this is most likely a browser session show an old cart session. To confirm, simply open your site in an incognito window/tab in Chrome to view your site uncached. https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464?source=gsearch
How can I change the icon for the Shopping Cart? It just doesn’t match my theme style. Thanks!
Hi there,
At the moment this requires custom code.
The relevant css is
.bag-icon {
background: url("../images/icons/shopping-bag.png") repeat scroll 0% 0% / 23px 32px transparent;
display: inline-block;
margin-right: 5px;
margin-bottom: -8px;
width: 23px;
height: 32px;
}
You would need to change the url to your own icon – and you may also need to then tweak the width height/margin settings based on your icon.
Best,
Colm
Hi Guys.
I am trying to re-order my tabs using this code in the functions.php file;
$tabs['description']['priority'] = 10;
$tabs['additional_information']['priority'] = 15;
$tabs['reviews']['priority'] = 20;
return $tabs;
But I don’t know the code for referencing the “Delivery & Returns Information” tab. I tried,
$tabs['delivery_returns']['priority']
but its not working.
Hi there Kisstopher707,
The Delivery & Returns tab is not a WooCommerce tab – it’s a custom tab added by the theme and it’s appearance is controlled within Theme Options. It’s order is always set to appear after your other tabs. You can change this manually if you need to in /captiva/woocommerce/single-product/tabs/tabs.php (but I would recommend doing it via a child theme to keep the parent theme update friendly).
Best,
Colm
Hello! Have two questions: 1. How can I add an “email” or envelope icon to each product with the social icons so you can “email to a friend” or email product inquiry to me? 2. Is Captiva compatible with a3rev’s WooCommerce “Quotes and Orders” plugin? If not, what similar plugin do you suggest or is anyone else using?
Thanks! Stacy
Hi Stacy
- That functionality isn’t part of the theme I’m afraid, I’d look for a plugin to do that.
- I haven’t heard of that one, we try to ensure compatibility with the official extensions from WooThemes, anything else can’t be guaranteed. I’d look for something from here: http://www.woothemes.com/product-category/woocommerce-extensions/

In Footer I want to add a list of few links like “about us”, “delivery info” etc, but the widget you have allows me to add ALL my links and it makes a huge list. How do I make it without touching css, if possible?
How do I make the same Shop layout as you have on your Shop page http://captivatheme1.commercegurus.com/shop/ ? I mean the “Default sorting” and ability to change from tile to list layout as you have under the “Shop” heading. When I looked at the Demo version you provide with this theme I did not see any code at all behind it. I have a few categories and for each page I want the same layout as your “Shop” page. Thank you!
Hi ZaikaOla
1) Just use a text widget and drop some html in and link to the page. Something like:
<a href="http://www.google.com">About Us</a>
2) You shouldn’t need to do anything to have the shop page appear like the demo – can you send your site link and login to support@commercegurus.com and I’ll take a look.
Thanks
Simon
Thank you commercegurus! I’ve figured out that I don’t need to create separate shop pages for each category, but can use the Shop page and links to those categories instead. Also had to change some settings in WooCommerce Product Listings and WooCommerce Product Details.
Great

Hello,
I am unable to activate the plug-in lazyslider With liscence included in the zip.
He said to me : You’ve reached the maximum number of authorized installations for this purchase code. Enter another purchase code or deauthorize sites before trying to add new ones
Anthony
Hi there,
Despite the notice, you do not need to enter a key for LayerSlider. We purchase an extended license for the plugin on your behalf. You can safely ignore this message. We periodically update the plugin when new versions are made available and once we’ve tested them to make sure they work well with the theme.

How do you add the social media icons to the top bar next to the slogan? I see a few people have asked but no answer has been given? Putting the social media shortcode from the ‘contact us’ part at the bottom does not work?
Hi,
This isn’t a feature of the theme at present. You would need to write custom code to do this.

Hi! This isn’t exactly a tech question, but I am trying to decide which of your themes to purchase—Captiva or Boulder. I am selling vintage linens and housewares. I have compared but can’t see a different between these two as far being able to customize the descriptions and attributes, etc. Is there a marked difference?
Hi there,
I would recommend Boulder from a code perspective – Captiva is nearly a year old whereas Boulder is only a few months old so the code is a bit more modern. From a design perspective both are nice
