I am wondering if it is possible to have the logo centered in the header? I see that it does that on mobile devices but for branding we need it like that at all times
I’ve seen other templates that allow for that in your portfolio but we particularly like Captiva.

That is not currently possible with Captiva. One of other themes, Suave, has a nice centered logo option.
We have no plans to add this to Captiva at present.

You can always tell by checking /captiva/style.css – you’ll see the version number is 1.6.2

It uses the YITH Ajax Navigation widget – you’d drop that into the ‘Shop Sidebar’ widget area within Appearance > Widgets.

I’ve never seen this error before – it’s a Seg fault – see the line beginning CRASH: PHP Segmentation violation…
Send them what you sent me – this is 100% not a theme issue. We’ve sold thousands of copies of our themes and it’s the first time I’ve seen something like this.

I recently purchased and installed Captiva and Layerslider WP doesn’t seem to work properly. The navigation buttons overlay the dropdown menu when viewed on a small screen such as a mobile device. I turned off navigation in the slider settings but they’re still there. I then set the settings to not show the slider for mobile devices but that didn’t work either. It’s still there. Not sure what else to do at this point.

Is there a way to reverse the order in which showcases are displayed? I feel like the most recent showcases posted should be at the top.

No – not at present via theme options. You could do this by modifying the code via a child theme.

Hi, there are 3 relevant templates you can review.
template-showcase—2col.php template-showcase—3col.php template-showcase—4col.php
pick the one you’re using, copy it into your child theme and then review the query
$args = array( 'post_type' => 'showcases', 'orderby' => 'menu_order', 'order' => 'ASC', 'posts_per_page' => -1 );
change the parameters as you require – there’s plenty of resources online about WP_Query argument options.

Ok. I was on the right track then. I did try to ‘ASC’ to ‘DESC’ in that exact spot but it didn’t seem to work. I’ll keep working on it though now that I know I’m headed in the right direction.

So on the page that holds all the POSTS entitled ‘EVENTS ARCHIVE’ i only have three posts showing and on the wodget to the left you’ll see ‘Past Events – May 2015’, if you click this then you see the fourth post which is dated 2014.
Can these all be shown on the same page? Have i missed something??

hi team ! i discover that the lightbox is working bad for the first images of my product: the design for close is ugly, there is no navigation to the next or forward image. I uncheck “activate the lightbox” in the general settings of woocommerce but nothing happen. Do you have an idea ? Thank’s !

The lightbox is fine – you just need to switch off the WooCommerce one
I’ve tested this on our servers to confirm this is the issue. If you’re still experiencing the issue it could be a plugin conflict – please send your WP admin user/pass to support@commercegurus.com if that is the case.

Its me again. And this time I have an unusual problem. I am in the lighting industry and our main menus usually have way too many items (Mostly from product categories) to fit in in one main menu of any theme. As you can see on some of these lighting websites;

Is there a way I can have another menu at the top underneath the main menu? Or maybe you can suggest another solution for me?
Currently my menu is spanning 2 rows

To be honest I’d be better to hire a developer to modify the design to create a solution like this – there are a lot of navigation items which Captiva and most other themes aren’t really designed for. General UI thinking would be to keep the number of nav items at less than 7 for easy scanning but your shop is obviously a custom case.
I’d check out elance.com or Envato studio and hire a designer for a job like this.

Thanks but I managed to solve the problem. Actually your theme has everything one needs, I just needed to think outside of the box and be a bit creative. Here is how I solved it;

Just go to Theme Options -> Blog Settings and switch back to the default position for the featured image (above the post).

The posts are made up of image galleries so the featured image on the post page is unnecessary.

Thanks for the fast reply! Is there a file in the captiva theme folder which i could easily duplicate to my child theme (to page-sale.php) and only change the args ( to only show sale items) for the loop?
Unfortunately not. It’s going to be a bit trickier than that I think.
