Hi Guys.
I am creating Product Category landing pages with Product Category Banner image (This is an optional image which will be displayed at the top of your product category) but whats happening now when I view the landing page, the Description (The description is not prominent by default; however, some themes may show it.) is being duplicated on the landing page, first it appears on the banner and then it also appears underneath the banner. See screenshot:
Hi there,
Yes we’re aware of this issue – it’s a minor regression bug that was introduced in the past week due to a small change in WooCommerce. We have a new release coming in a few days which will fix this.
If you email me to support@commercegurus.com with your themeforest username I’ll notify you once it’s released.

Thanks I will email right away.
Hi, Just a pre-sale question : would it be difficult to use Jigoshop instead of WooCommerce ? my client website is allready made with jigoshop. Thank’s for your answer Hervé
Does it works for a bookstore website? Worried about managing atributes.
Hi there,
WooCommerce can easily work with a bookstore website – see more about WooCommerce attributes here

Hi
I emailed about 2 weeks ago a support question and never got a reply. If you can please have a look, it was pretty simple I think but I can’t launch my store until it’s fixed.
Thanks
LJ
Hi there LJ,
We respond to all emails within 24 hours. You should also have gotten an immediate auto responder with a ticket number straight after emailing. If you didn’t then your email must have been blocked somewhere along the line.
Let me know if you got a ticket number and I’ll check what our response was. If not, send us a message via the form here

My website is very slow, can you pls fix the issue. It’s score only 15 in google speed test.
Pls check http://goo.gl/4H6qpnHi there,
The issue here is not the speed of the theme. The theme itself is incredibly fast and has been benchmarked to be as fast as all the leading WordPress themes. It’s your hosting – GoDaddy – or as I call them – Slowdaddy
For comparison our main demo site http://captivatheme1.commercegurus.com/ gets a desktop score of 75 without any caching plugins installed http://awesomescreenshot.com/0474uocydf
This is the impact good hosting makes.
I’ve incuded some further notes below which should be of use to you.
But I’ll summarize again – get a better host!
It is most likely a combination of the following: - Slow web host – this is a very common issue for people running WooCommerce on shared or low powered web hosting providers. - Too many plugins – some web hosts struggle when you have too many plugins installed. For example, if you use GoDaddy, try disabling the Envato WordPress toolkit. GoDaddy’s network setup means that plugin slows down sites on GoDaddy. The plugin itself is fine – it’s a GoDaddy issue. GoDaddy in particular are a very poor host for WordPress and WooCommerce sites in particular https://wordpress.org/support/topic/godaddy-unbearably-slow-hosting https://wordpress.org/support/topic/godaddy-hosting-super-slow-is-it-me-or-them - For most smaller WooCommerce sites we recommend a really fast and good value web host that is optimized for WordPress and WooCommerce called Siteground – http://www.commercegurus.com/siteground We have many theme customers who have moved to Siteground who are really happy with the speed increase they get. We’ve also written extensively about other things you can do to speed up your Website over on our blog. Here are some relevant posts: http://www.commercegurus.com/2014/10/13/turbocharge-woocommerce-store-load-times/ http://www.commercegurus.com/2014/09/16/best-woocommerce-hosting-plans-part-1/ http://www.commercegurus.com/2014/09/17/best-woocommerce-hosting-plans-part-2/ http://www.commercegurus.com/2015/01/19/best-woocommerce-hosting-plans-part-3-vps-providers/thanks for awesome support, and one more thing how can i configure social profile links on top bar.
Hi,
We provide an example in the main theme demo and demo data of social profiles in the footer – where we’ve optimized the display of social profiles. If you want to add them to the header this is something you’ll need to look into yourself.

how is possible to choice shipping. When customer buy the good, he wants choice shipping methods (class) – normla,express….... But I dont see this possibility. He can choice only shipping which is adjusted by seller. Or how is it?
Hi,
If you’re a customer can you post via your themeforest account. If this is a pre sales enquiry WooCommerce has documentation about how to set shipping up here http://docs.woothemes.com/document/product-shipping-classes/Colm

Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer
Hi there,
I just responded to your email
It’s most likely an out of memory error. But I can check this if you email me the following:
- your WP site url - Your WP admin user/pass - Your ftp details.
Colm
Hi Colm,
I have a little issue with my frontpage. The last item before the footer appears with a bottom margin in Chrome (while in firefox it’s rendered correctly). I’ve contacted Visual Composer author and said it’s something to do with the theme.
Please take a look at the site frontpage: http://pereda-vintage.com. Thanks!
Hi there,
That’s very unhelpful of them and complete nonsense!
The margin is in fact being generated by Visual Composer – see here http://i.imgur.com/7W653GG.png
js_composer.css is the Visual Composer css file.
They should have told you this instead of saying it was the theme!
In any event, it’s also easy to change this – just edit this page from the backend editor and change the bottom margin on that row to be 0.
See here
first, enter the row properties http://i.imgur.com/HXsyVlP.png second, switch to the design options and set the margin to 0 http://i.imgur.com/ez4ZCoX.pngThat will remove the gap.
Colm
ah, i understand. Thanks for the detailed answer. (Do you have any idea why this margin doesn’t appear in Firefox?)
Hi,
no – i’m not sure – there could be some conditionals in the Visual Composer css.
Colm
oh, right, could be that. Thanks, i got it sorted the way you said.
great
Hi, I am working on a captiva installation for a client, somehow I have the no margin on Inner Container bug (non fullwidth elements hit browsers edge). Anybody know the solution? My client purchased captiva with his themeforest account, I can provide details if needed.
kind regards, Thomas
Hi Thomas,
Please submit your request to support@commercegurus.com and confirm your themeforest purchase code and username. Please also include the WP site url and WP admin user/pass.

Hi.
I am trying to get my first footer to look exactly like the one in your demo, especially the formating. For example I am using the MailChimp widget but can’t get it to look like yours, especially the button. Please help. Thanks in advance. And also let me know which widget you are using for your CONTACT US. The jetpack contact info widget I am using doesn’t have those Social Media button underneath and behaves differently.
Hi there
The contact us is a text widget with this as its contents:
<p>48 Park Avenue,<br /> East 21st Street, Apt. 304<br /> New York NY 10016</p> <p>Email: youremail@yourdomain.com<br /> Phone: +88 (0) 100 0000 000<br /> Fax: +88 (0) 102 0000 000 [captiva_divider style="dotted"] [captiva_social_icons icon="fa-twitter" url="#"] [captiva_social_icons icon="fa-facebook" url="#"] [captiva_social_icons icon="fa-linkedin" url="#"] [captiva_social_icons icon="fa-youtube" url="#"] </p>
The other uses the mailchimp widget – the style should be picked up automatically. Send us a link to support@commercegurus.com if you’ve done that and it’s not appearing the same.
Thanks
Simon
Hi, Can u please tell me how to hide the navigation arrows on mobile? And also how to change the skin
Thanks
Hi there,
I’m not 100% sure what you mean by navigation arrows? Can you be a bit more specific – shoot me an email to support@commercegurus.com with more details. Re: skins – these are managed via Captiva Theme Options -> Colors
Best,
Colm
Hi how can I slow down the testimonial slider on the homepage, im fine editing the files if you point me in the right direction.
Hi there
We’d only recommend changing that variable if you’re comfortable with editing alright. It’s in:
wp-content/plugins/captivatoolkit/includes/shortcodes/testimonials.php
it’s the ‘autoPlay’ variable – change from 5000 (5 seconds) to 7000 for example to increase the time onscreen for each slide.

hi, i have a problem: http://www.fantamagus.net/event-directory/eventi/ In console me back two errors js: [Error] TypeError: undefined is not a function (evaluating ‘e(”.animate”).waypoint’) [Error] TypeError: undefined is not a function (evaluating ’$(’#top-bar-wrap #yith-s’).autocomplete’)
thanks
H there infod2c,
Thanks for getting in touch.
It looks like you have a plugin conflict.
e.g. if you go here http://www.fantamagus.net/?s=&post_type=productYou’ll see you have no console errors.
One of your plugins is changing something in the js scope on that page to break jquery.
Try deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce and Redux and then reactivate one by one to see which one causes the issue.
If you need to ask us any follow up questions on this issue shoot me an email to support@commercegurus.com
Best,
Colm
Hi. I have just changed my container layout style from Boxed to Full Width but now all sections are full width touching the edge of the browser window with no padding/margins on sections like RECOMMENDED FOR YOU, LATEST PRODUCTS etc that are supposed to be centered.
Regards
Reuben
Hi there,
You will need to change the row properties on each row in Visual Composer to “Full page width – Inner Container” as follows:`
http://imgur.com/d5L2eYHHope this helps,
Colm
Hi Reuben
You just need to click the little pen icon on the row and choose ‘Full Width – Inner Container’ for those elements.
Best
Simon
Thanks for the quick response but I am getting this error message when I try to do as you have instructed;
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 151019 bytes) in /home/lightyaw/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/editors/class-vc-edit-form-fields.php on line 166
If I view in classic mode I get this which it seems is already set to “Full page width – Inner Container”
width="1/1"]captiva_woo_featured_products introtext="Recommended for you" orderby="date" products="12"/vc_rowvc_column width="1/2"
Hi there, if you’re getting fatal memory errors you need to deal with those first
http://docs.woothemes.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/Second, if you’re stil seeing these go full width they’re definitely not set correctly.
Please address your memory issues first and then try editing in the proper Backend editor rather than classic mode.
After that, if you still have an issue please send me your site details yo support@commercegurus.com
Best,
Colm
I managed to fix the fatal error issue and my visual composer is working perfectly now but still the layout issue persists. I have emailed you my site login details so that you can have a look and see where I am going wrong.
ok – i’ll take a look now
Hi,
Need your help in fixing below couple of issues with theme.
1. Theme is not working correctly when cart page is viewed in mobile browser, total columns is cut off and missing altogheter. 2. Checkout page is also cut off the screens.
site is plurmakeup.com
Please help!
Thanks
Hi,
Did you figure out the other issues we were emailing on?
I still see differences between your site and the main Captiva demo site.
Compare the cart on iPhone for the 2 sites.
I do see a small issue on our main demo which we’ll fix asap but it’s not as pronounced as the issue on your site so you’ll need to keep digging into why your site is still different.
Please follow up on that issue separately via the original email/ticket.
Best,
Colm
Hi, the previous issue is fixed…... what difference you are talking about ? Cart page and checkout page is made look alike theme page with minor differences in color.
I have compared both demo and our site on cart page, same issue for both, iphone 4 is where issue is coming…. Also what about checkout page ? We are asking for help.
Can you please try to refresh your cache and see both cart page and checkout page is similar to theme.
Hi David,
Re: differences – this is what I’m talking about
your sites cart – I’ve highlighted the specific difference I can see – your left margin is different http://i.imgur.com/YCUEcJB.png Captivas cart http://i.imgur.com/ebYoFH8.pngPlease email me to support@commercegurus.com with your latest WP admin user/pass so we can troubleshoot this in more detail. Let’s deal with the cart first before the checkout.
Before you email me can you double check your code again as you never told me what the resolution to your previous issues was – and understanding that will help me to help you – so please let me know in the email
Colm
I’m trying to look at the theme preview on my phone to see what it looks like, but it doesn’t appear to be responsive. IS that just an issue with the preview itself? Thanks!
Hi there
It should be – are you looking at the direct link? It’s http://captivatheme1.commercegurus.comThemeForest wraps an iframe around the preview which might be causing the issue.
Best
Simon
Oh, there we go. Thanks!
Great
IS there a search function on the mobile version?
We’re looking at adding a mobile search widget area in an upcoming release of Captiva. That functionality exists in our other two themes, Suave and Adrenalin.
Best
Simon
Any css or other workaround to achieve a search function on mobile? A plugin?
Hi there,
No – not at present.
Best,
Colm
Really? Even a woocommerce search plugin that goes into a page or a widget? couldn’t it at least appear on the footer?
Hi,
There of course could be other options – but these are not something we will be looking into at present (we have a very busy product roadmap for all our themes).
When we add a mobile search option (as we have mentioned in an earlier comment that we will be doing soon) we will do it to the correct standard.
So the best advice is to await the option we create or else you’re welcome to explore your own unsupported implementation.
Best,
Colm
Okay thanks, appreciate the help so far!
No problem
Hi. How do I edit the tab headings on the Product Details Page? For example, I want to edit ADDITIONAL INFORMATION to PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
THANKS
The pro (paid) version of the plugin mentioned above allows you to easily rename a tab I believe.
There’s another way here: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/editing-product-data-tabs/Regards
Simon
Thanks used the code on that link and managed to change the tab headings.
Great
Hi. I went further and tried to use the following code as shown on the link you gave me above;
Use the following snippet to add a custom global product tab
add_filter( ‘woocommerce_product_tabs’, ‘woo_new_product_tab’ ); function woo_new_product_tab( $tabs ) {
// Adds the new tab
$tabs['test_tab'] = array(
'title' => __( 'New Product Tab', 'woocommerce' ),
'priority' => 50,
'callback' => 'woo_new_product_tab_content'
);
return $tabs;
} function woo_new_product_tab_content() {
// The new tab content
echo 'New Product Tab
';
echo 'Here\'s your new product tab.
';
}
Apparently this code can help me add my PRODUCT ENQUIRY FORM tab on each and every product by default. I then put my contact 7 form shortcode as the new tab content. But I am now getting this error message under my edited ADDITIONAL INFORMATION tab which I edited earlier to PRODUCT DATA/SPECS;
Warning: call_user_func() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, no array or string given in /home/lightyaw/public_html/wp-content/themes/captiva/woocommerce/single-product/tabs/tabs.php on line 46
How do I solve this?
Regards
Reuben
Hmm I wouldn’t use that code for a new tab – I’d use the plugin referenced above. The Skyverge plugin is explicitly tested to allow you to pass in arguments such as a contact form into it.
This kind of customization is also a bit out of scope for theme support.
Regards
Simon
Update: I have discovered this code works fine BUT only for my own products I add and only throw that error when viewing sample products that came with the theme’s sample data. So far its working perfect on all new products I am adding and they are having the PRODUCT ENQUIRY FORM by default. I will take your advice and only use this code on my development server for test and experimental purposes.
Ok, great
Hi Guys. Quick question. Is it possible to put a PRODUCT ENQUIRY FORM tab on the Product Details Page?
Hi there
You could add an extra tab to the details page called ‘Enquiry Form’ and add a Contact Form 7 into it.
You could use a plugin such as this one: https://www.skyverge.com/product/woocommerce-custom-product-tabs-lite/Best
Simon
Thanks Simon. It works like a charm. BUT it would be even super cool if I did not have to activate the tab manually on each product and it was on every product by default. I have noticed that the other theme (SISTINA) on my other site actually has this functionality built in. Maybe in the near future you can also include it in your theme? Something to make your theme even more outstanding. Just a suggestion.
Hi Kisstopher
Thanks for the kind words!
The premium version allows for global tabs: http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-tab-manager/There may be other (possibly cheaper) alternatives too but Skyverge plugins tend to be excellently coded.
Thanks for the suggestion also.
Best
Simon
WooCommerce RELATED PRODUCTS: Is there a way to modify related products so they only pull from their sub category?
Example: T-Shirts - Mens - Womens - Children
If on a Mens T-shirt I only want it to display mens, right now its displaying all in T-Shirts. Thanks again for all the help.
I used a plugin to solve this…but now Im seeing an issue.
If you look HERE You will notice the + and – for quantity are not showing? I tried clearing my child theme CSS, but its still the same.
Hi there
WooCommerce 2.3 moved the + and – into a separate plugin, you can add it to restore those quantity buttons:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-quantity-increment/Best
Simon
thanks Simon
How can I remove the parallax effect on the header images?
Hi there!
Can you send a link to the page and a screenshot to support@commercegurus.com so we’ll know which exact element you mean.
Thanks!
Simon
I got it!
Great
