1 – Actually Portfolio is a custom post developed in WordPress and that url slug comes from the custom post name. A WP developer can change the custom post type name and hence url slug for Portfolio by customising theme code.

2 – We already have title and tag line on hover, you can use tag line as short description. But if you want to have somewhat bigger description then you can please refer this demo page: http://wpdemos.themezaa.com/h-code/with-short-description/

3- Yes of course you can use Visual composer to add all readymade shortcodes in pages, post and portfolio post.

Actually the title area is the part of blog page content, so that cannot be setup using blog settings. But that can be achieved by simple template customisation to move post title area on top and then apply 2 column layout below it. We are already providing feature in that Tabs shortcode to assign Et-line and Font Awesome icons gallery, so you can chose icon from that gallery. But if you want to use your own image or other font icons then you need to customise the theme and Tabs shortcode to achieve as per your requirement.

If you would like to use your own icons then you need to customise the theme code yourself to achieve it as per your requirement.

Looking at http://wpdemos.themezaa.com/h-code/home-blog-grid/ I want to know if it possible to repeat the same blog photos distribution at the first row (1 bigger at the left and then 2 smaller at the right), in the next rows or maybe reversing the positions (2 smaller at the left and then 1 bigger at the right), like this example below:

That first row is actually contains Blog Post Slider shortcode in left and Features box shortcode in right. So you can create another row with reverse layout but below that is the actual blog listing layout which is 3 columns grid and that whole listing cannot be done as top row without customisation.

In case if you face any conflict between theme and the plugin (jQuery / code) then you may need to contact plugin developer or remove conflict yourself as it is difficult to develop compatibility with third party plugins other than we have mentioned in our item description page.

We thought you were talking about scrollbar. But I think you are referring to scrolling effect (move on the same page from one section to another) for that we are using jQuery scrolling for smoothness.

Thanks for getting back to me, and yes that’s exactly what I was referring to. Is it possible to disable that in a setting?

Also i noticed that back/forward swiping on Mac with Chrome is broken. It works in Safari, but if you try to two finger swipe back or forward nothing happens. Is this a setting or a bug? Please let me know as it is a dealbreaker for me as a lot of my users use Mac+Chrome. Thanks for your speedy answers.

We are not sure why you think about removing smooth scroll as it is really a good feature to have smooth scroll instead of instant move. Yes that is possible by simple customisation but there is no setting.

We have just checked above mentioned block in all browsers, it shows See Portfolio button on hover of photo and clicking on the button redirect to http://wpdemos.themezaa.com/h-code/portfolio-lightbox/ page fine.

It may be possible that you have uploaded smaller image than recommended size of 900 X 1200 and hence floating button cannot be visible. So please try to upload image as mentioned above and it should work fine then.

It seems demo data are already imported, but you may have tried multiple times and hence as per WordPress import process it import menu items for each of your import attempt. You can simply go to Appearance > Menus and delete extra menus or create the one as per your requirement and setup it in the theme settings as default.

Is it possible to filter blog posts like the portfolio posts? - No it is not possible by default to filter posts but can be achieved by customisation.

Or is it possible to show the blog posts based on a specific category? - Yes there is a feature in our Blog List shortcode to show specific category posts.
