Hello!

Regarding the broken customer payment page (link available on payment pending orders in the dashboard) with broken formatting; has it been fixed in the latest update?

Thanks :)

Hi again,

Yes, please check the screenshot from my playground: https://www.screencast.com/t/IvLbSgiNikfa

Hi, I want to purchase this theme but going through some of the questions here at the comment session about your recent updates from the old version to the new version. Could you kindly clarify this below with me;

1) My main purpose of purchasing this theme is the front layout/design like the sample you have displayed now, this link below exactly

https://preview.themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/full_screen_preview/15791151?_ga=2.95940252.1466260819.1613416504-779920414.1613412377

Has it changed to something else???

2) The Sample Blog page like the one/link I have included below , has it changed?

https://preview.themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/full_screen_preview/15791151?_ga=2.95940252.1466260819.1613416504-779920414.1613412377

If all the layouts(Looks) are thesame, like the sample website just like the links I’ve include above, let me know and I will jump in with the purchase.

But if it’s different, can I have a look at what I should expect? the new version to look like???

Thanks and I look for your quickiest reponse…

Cheers..

Thank you for the response, I’ve now purcahsed this Great theme too. I wanted to also ask , who is your hosting provider. When I checked the loading speed of your demo site, is too fast. do let me know, thanks.

Hi again, Thank you for purchasing Merchandiser.

We are using WP Engine as hosting provider, feel free to contact our support team for more info. Good luck with your project!

Cheers, Adrian B

sure thing, thanks once again!

Hi guys.. I also have problems with upgrading to v2. I tried twice, but both times I got a white page in the frontend and had to restore from backup. Debug showed no errors, but all comes back to normal when I restore theme to v1.10

Hi @vaschops,

Could be just a caching issue, try to empty the browser cache and give it a try again.

Feel free to contact us so we can check your setup: https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151/support

Hi Adrian..

After further testing I found out that you made some changes in header.php – which I was using in my child theme. So I updated the file and the site loaded fine ..BUT ..that is when the real problem came up. The header of the site running on v2 is totally messed up. it seems you made some changes in HTML or CSS or something ..and most of the previous customisation is disassociated now.

This is trouble. And I will send the details to support.

But this has happened again in the past. You changed things in a coming update without prior notification of what is changing ..and more importantly without respecting customisations that people might have done and payed money for.

And for this version, you impose styling changes that might look good to some or not good to others.

Further more, all widgets are gone from the Shop Sidebar + the Search Widget Area.. – the Footer widgets thankfully are still there.

Why do I need to go through all this trouble and rebuild the website because of an update..?!!?

Please work out a smooth transition to v2 for people like me that have customised the theme to their preference and respect it in future updates.

After recent update everything on the website is disrupted. Be careful with v2.0.1 update.

Hi @pciza,

Could you be more specific about what exactly is happening while updating to the latest version? You can contact us using this form so we can see your setup there: https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151/support

Cheers, Adrian B

Thank you for help with the update. Everything is much better now.

Hello, if i upgrade will i lose all graphic and font settings ? I have seen that it has totally changed . Thank you

Hi @albertopiazza,

You shouldn’t lose any configuration but if you don’t have a child theme is recommended to make a backup.

Hello, I noticed Merchandiser 2 drops support for WpBakery. Will all existing WpBakery pages and styles function with Merchandiser 2?

Hi @whereskarlo,

Sure, existing pages created with WP Bakery will work the same.

Cheers, Adrian B

Hi Adrian, I suggest updating the changelog for Merchandiser 2. It states: “merchandiser 2 drops the support for WPBakery’s Page Builder in favor of the new, native WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg), which means faster loading times as well as a new block-based Theme Demo.” It’s what got me worried about updating, which I plan to do now. About the old colored title bar that appeared under the header; does it remain? Cheers!

Hi,

is it possible to update to Merchandiser 2.0 with WPBakery without broken pages?

Thanks

Hi @walacky,

Sure, all the pages created with WP Bakery should be working just fine after update. In case you run into any issue, please contact our support team: https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151/support

Cheers, Adrian B

seems the 2.0 update brings some bugs .. the blog show now like this https://imgur.com/0wgCOH3 instead of https://www.mein-camperausbau.de/blog/ and the banner has a strange look https://imgur.com/DBCVXPq instead of https://www.mein-camperausbau.de/

Hi @Miami44, Yes, the headers and titles have been completely changed and some pages could look a little bit different.

The banner issue was checked by our developers. Could you please check if you have the latest Merchandiser Extender plugin (2.0.1)?

Cheers, Adrian B

hey Adrian, thanks for the response. Looks a little bit better now, but the button in the banner is still in the wrong position. https://imgur.com/sIhPAQs But as it looks this is only happening when there is 4 banners in a row. With 2 banners it look ok https://imgur.com/HliqQfr

Also i am wondering if there is an option to change the content width on the site? Looks like it was getting smaller with the new update.

Hi again, It seems to be working fine on my end, even on a 4k resolution https://www.screencast.com/t/LsN2bJyNn

Hello,

currently only 10 products are loaded in categories at a time. How can I increase it?

Thank you

Hi again,

You can set the number of Products per row and Rows per page on Shop pages in Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product catalog.

Cheers, Adrian B

Hello, is it possible to insert category logo in the product page ?

Hi @albertopiazza,

There’s no built in option for this but I think a WooCommerce Brands plugin could be helpful on what you are trying to achieve.

Cheers, Adrian B

Hello, the customer payment page (link available on payment pending orders in the dashboard) is broken as of the last theme update. The formatting is all over the place and does not look like it used to. Is this a theme issue?

Hi @whereskarlo,

Yes, it seems to be a styling issue on that particular page. We are working on a theme update that should be available next week and this issue will be fixed as well.

Cheers, Adrian B

Hi Adrian, that is excellent, thank you. I can also let you know that when a customer tries to access that page and is not logged in, the login screen has the “reset password” link hidden behind the login button. I fixed it by changing the margin, but you might wanna address it in the update as well since some shops might not be aware of it. The green notice that usually pops up in the bottom is also shrunken down into a box on the left on the same login page.

All the best!

Hi again,

Thank you for pointing that out too.

Cheers, Adrian B

Can i update wordpress to the latest version? Or am I waiting for the theme update?

I can confirm it is safe to update.

Cheers,
Adrian.

Hi there! Thanks for the great theme. I’ve been using it for my RTL website for almost three years now. However, after updating to the latest version, the product page went wrong, and I can see no information on the page, except for the tabs. I wanted to see if anyone else has reported such a problem with RTL websites, and if you’re aware of the issue and perhaps working on it. Also, I wanted to ask if I can have the previous version, so that I can downgrade my theme until I can find a fix for my problem. Thanks!

Hi @pitkoo,

We are not aware of such issue, I’ve just tested the RTL on my playground and it seems to be working as expected. Could you please contact our support team so we can check your setup? https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151/support

Cheers, Adrian B

hello, will there be an update scheduled ? Thank you

Hi @albertopiazza,

We are working on an extensive theme update and hopefully we will be able to release it by the end of the week.

Cheers, Adrian B

Hi,

The checkout-2/order-pay page css is not correct. The description and the button is to the left, and it shoud be centered. How can I edit that page? Thanks in advance.

Hi @tbgergo,

Yes, if you are referring to the Order review on the right part of the Checkout page, the text is set to be aligned left. Please use this form to contact our support team and we will gladly provide you with a bit of custom css code: https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151/support

Cheers, Adrian B

Hi Adrian,

Thanks for your replay. Since that page was not built correctly by you, I would prefer the add the css code here. For others it will be also useful, to overcome this bug. Thanks Gergő

Why I got the demo very different then your demo, sample left – vertical menu?

Hello there @coincorp,

The demo import might seem lighter due to having different images, but other than that, it’s all setting which you can adjust via Appearance > Customizer.

Feel free to reach out to our support team using the “Support” tab on this page if you need any help further with your work, we’ll do our best to help.

Tried to use the WP Plugin “Easy Table of Contents” in the blogposts. But in the Woocoemerce Single Product (class=”shortcode_single_product”) there is woocommerce-loop-product__title with has a H2 around the Name of the product … is there any way to make this h5/h6 or no H tag ? Other wise “Easy Table of contents” is adding the products to the table of content.

A blog post example https://www.mein-camperausbau.de/camper-elektrik/

i found a way to change it .. created a child theme .. and copyed the file content.product.php of woocommerce Then commented out the function and added it directly with an h6..

//do_action( 'woocommerce_shop_loop_item_title' );
echo '
' . get_the_title() . '
';

Works but has a bad side effect.. now the Woocomerce buttons not getting the style of theme anymore and they shifted to big black buttons

Hi @Miami44,

This is the WooCommerce Shop structure and would be recommended to leave that h2 there for SEO purpose. The best option is to ask the Plugin’s developer to exclude the WooCommerce products from table of contents.

Cheers, Adrian B

I have multiple authors. Is there any way to show the post author on the post??

Also, I don’t allow comments. How would I eliminate the ‘no comments’ link above each post?

Hello there,

I am forwarding your notes to our developers. We’re working on a major update and I am hoping they’ll be able to implement the options you’re after along with it.

Cheers, Adrian.

Why does the theme add in product image widths that differs from product to product? I have images at 900×900 but when I resize the browser the image width is set either correctly or some random size thats significantly larger than the view port and breaks the responsive design.

Hi @carlschimper,

As I can see you have some product images that are way too small. Also there is the fancybox plugin that could change some product page functionality.

Please open a support ticket and one of our colleagues will gladly help you with this: https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151/support
