Hello. I have install the theme and I meet translation problems. I want to translate “quick view”: I go to loco translate, search quick view. I have translate the word but the theme don’t make the translation in french. Also, I want to translate ‘share this product’ and ‘sale’ and I don’t have all theses words on locotranslate. What can I do ? Also, I would like to know how can I remove the description tab. Thanks in advance!
Hello there,
This is Adrian. We need to look into this to be able to help you figure it out. Can you please reach out to our support team via the “Support” tab on the theme’s page here: https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151/support
We’ll assign a support agent to dig deeper into this and I am positive they’ll do their best to help you figure it out.
Thank you for choosing Merchandiser.
Cheers, Adrian.
Hello,
I have 1 question and one bug to report.
Question: Can Gutenberg be used for products? Currently it doesn’t load, only on pages.
Bug: When viewing the checkout page and clicking the “Have an account? Login” text, a popup appears where the user details can be entered. Currently this is with too much padding at the top, putting the login button out of sight or too low. This issue is currently on the Merchandiser demo site as well.
Many thanks for an otherwise great theme.
Hello @whereskarlo,
About Gutenberg, WooCommerce haven’t implemented the block editor experience for products yet.
About the login feature, tried different screen sizes but it doesn’t seem to be happening at this end. Can you please tell me which screen resolution size you’re using? Trying to figure out how small the screen is.
Cheers, Adrian.
Hi Adrian,
The screen resolutions are 1366×768 desktop and 545×250 mobile. Please see this link for screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/u2C56PJ
The problem is only on the checkout page; Returning customer? Click here to login screen.
Hi again,
There’s a top padding of 40px there that can be easily changed to a smaller value using a bit of custom css code in case you want a quick fix.
.woocommerce-checkout:not(.woocommerce-order-received) .site-content .woocommerce .checkout-info form.login { padding-top: 20px !important; }
Add it to Appearance > Customise > Additional CSS.
Cheers, Adrian B
Fantastic, thank you!
Hi! I have discovered a bug in the theme.
When setting the header to have a white background and black text, the cart icon item counter doesn’t display correctly in mobile view.
On desktop the counter background is black and the text is white, but on mobile view both the counter and the text are black.
I have verified this bug exists in the theme as well as on the demo page. Are you able to provide a fix? The problem seems to be with class .shopping_bag_items_number not copying the styling settings correctly for the heading in customizer.
Hi again,
I have answered to your previous comment too. Here is the custom css code again.
Please add it to Appearance > Customise > Additional CSS as a temporary fix.
.site-header-mobiles .header-wrapper-mobiles .tools ul li .tools_button .shopping_bag_items_number { color: #fff; }
Cheers, Adrian B
Great, thanks a lot!
Hi! I have Merchandiser installed and it also installed a Child Theme. I was looking in the child theme functions.php and didn’t see that it encoded merchandiser stylesheets etc. Have you implemented the child theme differently, or am I missing code?
If the child theme is functional, it mean it inherits the CSS and functions of the parent theme. Otherwise it would be rendered as broken and it should be showing an error.
If you need to check the original files, you can always redownload the main theme’s package from https://themeforest.net/downloads
Cheers, Adrian.
Thanks Adrian. Does the main theme still include the child theme? I downloaded again but didn’t see the child theme in my downloads.
Yes, the Child theme should be available for download in the theme’s pack. Make sure you are saving All files & documentation from Downloads section. Let me know if you can find it this way.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hi Adrian,
I checked the Child Theme in Merchandiser version 1.9.12 and it includes a functions.php file.
I saw in the Merchandiser Updates History that the Child Theme had the functions.php added in version 1.7.
I installed Merchandiser since version 1.0.3 and therefore my Child Theme is missing the functions.php additions since version 1.7.
Do you recommend I add the code to my Child Theme’s functions.php file? Will I see improvements?
From looking at the updates history, it looks like the Getbowtied Tools used to handle the Child Theme linking.
Hi again,
Adding the custom code the the Child theme’s functions.php file is recommended but it will not change in any way the overall performance.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hi, how can I translate the labels (sale, out of stock, product variations) that appear on the website. There is an option to change de Sale and Out of stock label on the customize section at the backend, but what if i need them on 2 or 3 languages… thanks
Hello,
You’re probably using a plugin for the translation. The plugin you’re using should help you translate those label as well. All our themes are compatible with WPML, which seems to be the most popular choice when it comes to multi-language WooCommerce sites. If you won’t be able to figure it out, please reach out to their support, they should be able to put more light into this.
Cheers, Adrian.
Yes I do. I use WPML however that label is not recognized by it.
Hi again,
I have sent your feedback to our developers to investigate and fix this in the next theme update.
Cheers, Adrian B

On desktop the counter background is black and the text is white, but on mobile view both the counter and the text are black. Could you please fix this? Seems to be a small error. Thanks!
Hi there, I will send this to our development team to check, in the meantime please use this bit of custom css code as quick fix:
.site-header-mobiles .header-wrapper-mobiles .tools ul li .tools_button .shopping_bag_items_number { color: #fff; }

Hi. I am unable to get my posts on my blog to show the published date. It just shows a blank default. Is the theme affecting the WordPress default for posts? Thank you for any help.
https://bqtoday.com/blog/Hi @bqlife, The theme shouldn’t affect this in any way. You can try to temporary deactivate Merchandiser and activate any Wordpress default theme to see the difference.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hi, there is an error when trying to update WooCommerce since the last theme update. Can you please investigate the issue?
Hi Oussama,
Can you please tell us more about the error, what is it saying? Doesn’t seem to be happening at this end.
Cheers,
Adrian.
i know my support is not active. however i want to know if this theme actively pushes updates? i have not received any and my plugins that came with the theme are no longer working. I dont want you to help me make them work. i just want the question answered if possible.
Hi @bijouschmidt,
Sure, we are constantly updating our themes to be compatible with the latest Wordpress and plugins. Here is how to update Merchandiser using Envato market plugin: https://merchandiser.wp-theme.help/hc/en-us/articles/207507239-How-to-update-the-theme-
After that you will be able to update WP Bakery Builder to its latest version: https://merchandiser.wp-theme.help/hc/en-us/articles/208222585-WPBakery-Page-Builder-How-to-update-
Cheers, Adrian B
Thank you so much Adrian, my website has not been working properly for months until now
Great!
I’m glad everything’s working as expected now.
Cheers, Adrian B
does your template work with the yith badge management plugin?
Hello there,
I can’t remember testing it recently so I can’t be 100% sure. If that’s your main and only concern, you should get the theme and start using it. If for some reason you figure it won’t work, or it’s not a good fit for your project, we’re happy to confirm a refund.
Feel free to come back whenever you have any questions.
Cheers, Adrian.
Can’t you just test it yourself by avoiding making an incorrect purchase? It is annoying to buy something that then doesn’t work and then go through a procedure and wait for a refund.
I must be 100% sure that this plugin works correctly in all its parts and that the Badges are not displayed incorrectly. Otherwise for me it is not worth buying your template.
Hello again,
With so many plugin out there and the requests we’re receiving, sometime users can make a test quicker than we can do when it comes to 3rd party plugin.
I had the chance to test it now and I must say it doesn’t seem to be working 100% as expected, there are some styling issues that require fixing. I’ve been testing out top selling theme as well, Shopkeeper, you might want to look into that one: https://themeforest.net/item/shopkeeper-ecommerce-wp-theme-for-woocommerce/9553045
Let me know what you think. Feel free to come back whenever you have any more questions or concerns and we’ll do our best to help.
Cheers, Adrian.
Hello, I have a problem from the begining I bought the theme : The cart menu / widget on the right ( the one that open and close on adding ) is always empty, no content is showing
I have last versions of WP – Woo and Merchandizer
Hello there,
Thank you for choosing Merchandiser! I am not sure what could be causing that but we’ll do our best to help you figure it out. Please reach out to our support team via the theme’s help center: https://merchandiser.wp-theme.help/ and we’ll assign it to one of our support agents.
Cheers, Adrian.
Will you be adding ajax filters on the shop pages so there isn’t a page load when selecting category or colour etc?
Hello there,
We don’t plan to integrate one anytime soon. There are plugin out there that can help you with that since WooCommerce doesn’t provide a built-in option for it, however, we expect WooCommerce to include a built-in functionality for it at some point, so we wouldn’t want the theme’s users to limit to a single option.
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers, Adrian.
Hello, is there a way to increase max-number of items in column in megamenu?I have a lot of categories in my store which needs to be included…
In ”/wp-content/themes/merchandiser/js/components/navigation.js” I tried to increase “var max_per_column” from 6 ->10 but it doesn’t do anything. Is there another thingy that needs to be changed? I also added this file to same location into “merchandiser-child” theme but doesn’t work too…
Thanks in advance for you time.
Hello there and happy new year!
I think that would require some additional custom coding and styling, more that the two lines we can usually help you with. Since that’s the case, we won’t be able to help regretfully.
Cheers, Adrian.
Hi guys, how do I deactivate the back-to-top buttons? Thanks
Hello there and happy 2020!
You can turn off the back-to-top button via Appearance > Customize > Footer.
Please consider renewing your subscription for Merchandiser to help keep the theme up to date https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151
Cheers, Adrian.
Hi. Merchandiser Extender plugin is conflicting with Yoast Seo, making the option box of yoast seo not to appear on products page (it appears, but all options are disabled, or infinite loading), so i cant edit my seo for products.
If i deactivate Merchandiser Extender, yoast seo works well.
I have deactivated all plugins, and then activated them one by one, and the one that conflicts with seo is merchandiser extender. Using latest versions of merchandiser theme, merchandiser extender, wordpress, woocommerce and yoast seo.
Can u take a look at it? Thx.
Hi @ahumadomayte, I will forward your note to our developers to check. In the meantime, please temporary deactivate the Extender while editing the products and activate it again after that.
Cheers, Adrian B
Ok, Thanx.
I didnt know i cant deactivate it and then activate it, cause i havent been able to find exact information of what does the merchandiser extender plugin do…. I just know some functionalities where moved from theme to that plugin for better portability.
Is there some documentation about merchandiser extender? Thx
We don’t have a documentation yet but you can find more about Merchandiser Extender features here: https://screencast.com/t/WxuKJutYGy6
I’ve tested the product page with both Yoast Seo and Extender activated and it seems to work fine on my end. Therefor I moved forward and opened a support ticket so we can understand better what’s going on. Please check your inbox and let me know.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hi, I’ve created a Shop page from scratch because the existing default one that comes with WooCommerce didn’t let me edit it with WPBakery. But when I assign this new page as the Shop page in WooCommerce > Settings > Products, it says that’s correctly assigned but in the Preview I still see the old one. Any clue about this?
Hi @guillermolo,
The default WooCommerce Shop page can only have the woocommerce [products] shortcode and that’s why some other elements are not visible on that page.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hi, Adrian, thanks for your reply.
I’m not sure I’m understanding you… I’m trying to replicate this page: https://racquetmag.com/shop/ but when I set up the layout using WPBakery, the system still uses the WooCommerce Shop default page…
Any idea how can I replicate it?
Hi again,
You just need to set another page as default WooCommerce shop page in WooCommerce > Settings > Products.
Cheers, Adrian B
That’s what I do, I rename the WooCommerce Shop page as “Shop old” and my new one as “Shop” and set it as default shop page in WooCommerce > Settings > Products, but when I Preview it, it still shows the WooCommerce default one…
This is what I’m trying to say, if you set your page as shop page in WooCommerce > Settings it will be overwritten by WooCommerce with the default one. You can have your new page in Menu under Shop item, I can’t see any other solution.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hi, since the last WooCommerce update, the price filter doesn’t work properly (filter and sorting). Please look into it
Hi @oussamab90,
It seems to be working fine on my end. I have opened a support ticket for you so we can check your setup there.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hello @ousamab90,
I see your support plan is expired, Adrian opened up a support request from our end, but please do consider extending your subscription. Now it’s the best time, During Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale, you can get it for just half the price. Check the price on the theme’s page here: https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151
Cheers!
Hi Andrian, where can I see the support ticket you just opened? I can’t seem to find it on https://merchandiser.wp-theme.help/hc/en-us
You should have an email on osoula**@gmail.com
Please check your inbox and simply reply to that email.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hello, can I build such a page layout without using Elementor or Page Builder? Using only Gutenberg. https://merchandiser.wp-theme.design/
Hi Igor,
Hmmm, you could get close to it, but probably not the exact same thing. If you think Merchandiser would be a good fit, you should go for it and if for some reason you figure is not a good fit for your project, you can ask for a refund.
With Black Friday / Cyber Monday started (today), you can now get the theme for $39 instead of $59: https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151 You’re in luck.
Cheers,
Adrian.
There are 2 issues related to menu when in mobile mode 1. the hamburger-menu icon is missing 2. the exit button for menu is missing
3. When I click cart icon at the top right corner, the big word “cart” is showing on the right sidebar. The word “cart” is not supposed to be there

Thank you
Hi @eches83,
As I can see you have an outdated theme version.
Here is a documentation article about How to update the theme using Envato Market plugin: https://merchandiser.wp-theme.help/hc/en-us/articles/207507239-How-to-update-the-theme-
Let me know how it’s working after updating Merchandiser to the latest version.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hi Adrian,
Thanks for the quick reply. All problems have gone after updating the theme through Envato Market plugin. Again thank you
Azman
Great! Thank you for letting us know.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hello Azman,
I see your support plan expired, however, Adrian helped you with the issues you were experiencing. Please consider extending your subscription; with the Cyber Monday sale on for another day, you can extend it for half the price: https://themeforest.net/item/merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme-for-woocommerce/15791151
Best of luck with your projects.

Hi there, our page doesn’t seem to be updating the products on home page as it should. When viewing in frontend editor it is correct, but not on homepage when on the website? Can you please help with this?
Hi @Tabatha69, I just opened a support ticket for you so we can check your setup. Please check your inbox.
Cheers, Adrian B
Hi, pre-sale question, i’m comparing the Merchandiser theme to your Shopkeeper theme and i’m trying to find the reason one theme is 10 dollars more than the other. Can you please help explain the difference in price? I’m testing out all the themes you have and so far, i’m at a loss as to why there is a difference in price. Thanks in advance.
Hello @PreetM,
Adrian here, happy to be talking to you about our themes.
Shopkeeper is our best selling theme and a ThemeForest top seller as well. It has the most users and we invest most of our time with it to provide updates regularly. It has more customization options allowing for more flexibility. You should pick the one that you find suitable for your current project in terms of styles.
Please let me know if you have any specific questions or concerns.
Cheers, Adrian.
Sounds good Adrian, thanks for the reply and explanation.
