I would like to report a bug in the included Visual Composer 4.11.2.1. I can’t file a ticket on the ticksy site because my support is expired. Since I don’t have a direct license, I don’t see any way to contact the VC authors, and I’m not sure if you have customized the VC that’s included with the theme. I have figured out a workaround so it’s not a critical issue at the moment. How should I proceed?

1. We will include compatibility for the latest WooCommerce version in the next theme update. We always recommend waiting with plugin update until we release the theme compatibility update.
2. You can configure and use Envato Toolkit plugin for the auto updates. But it’s necessary to activate main theme before updating, and you can switch back to the child theme later. Or simply update your theme manually.
3. You can see all your past tickets and answers of course.

Lastly, why are my WooCommerce files not being updated via the Child Theme? I have the most recent update for the main theme and they updated there but are not transferring the update to the Child Theme.

With theme update, all files under parent theme would be updated, including woo-commerce files under our theme folder. But child theme is not affected with theme update, so all changes you’ve done under your child theme folder, would persist even after theme update.

To what files exactly are you referring to? Child theme is used to save your changed template from being overridden during theme update.
If you use some WooCommerce files in your child theme, you would need to look for the same files in parent theme, and copy and modify their content into the child theme again, if some are outdated now.

That means that you have modified some of the woocommerce templates , and put them in your child theme.
In this case – you need to copy new content-product.php and variable.php files from our main theme to your child-theme, and re-do the modifications you already made in them in your child theme.

Please update your theme to the latest released version Subway 2.0.1 , and after it, update Visual Composer to 4.11.2.1 version we included into it, and clear browser cache after these updates.
It should work all properly then with new WP.

Hello. I updated to the latest version, and now when I use the “LATEST POSTS” element set to display 4 POSTS, 3 ROWS, I get 2 rows displaying fine and the 3rd row is broken up into 2 rows (meaning I get 2 thumbnails on the third row and another 2 beneath it, creating a total of 4 rows). I’ve tried creating extra padding between the post data and the next row, I’ve made sure my featured images were all the same size…no idea why this is happening since over the last 2 years it’s been set to 4 POSTS, 3 ROWS.
Any ideas?

Hi, Once exported the layerslider form your dummy content, it cannot be edited… if you are trying to edit text layers, the text layers will vanish.. layers are shown in dashboard, but not in the site front-end… Is there any way to fixed this bug???
as well as the transitions for images (given in XML) will be change once you save the slider…

I am not able to get the masonry blog style to work. Would like to have it as on your demopage. Have selected the Blog Masonry style but instead I get very large images (fill up the entire screen) What am I missing?

In order to create this page, you need to choose Masonry Blog template for it

Is there any documentation or instructions for this theme? Finding it quite hard to find the right elements on pages or how to edit them.
Scratch that – have found instructions in the download.
But the instructions show a different page layout to the theme – I am trying to add a Parallax section to the homepage. The page in edit mode does not show the section where you can add the required image and get a unique ID for it. There is no section titled ‘Qode Parallax’ or ‘Parallax section’ under the page content edit section.
So how do you find this element or how do you actually add images to a parallax section?
The documentation screenshots look nothing like the theme in edit mode at all. Very outdated, will there be a new version very soon? They are impossible to use, which makes the theme extremely difficult to edit.
Where is the ‘Qode Parallax’ and ‘Parallax section’ edit boxes within a Page when it is being edited? Not there, even after you’ve added the Parallax shortcode to the page.
How do I add a call to action button on top of the Parallax section? Can’t find anything about that either, and there isn’t a short code for a link or button.
At the moment I’m working this theme out by trial and error but it’s wasting my time. Need to update the documentation if people are still buying this.

Product categories inherit the sidebar settings you have set for your main shop page. So, check which is your main shop page (WooCommerce -> Settings -> Products -> Display http://screencast.com/t/2lDelTiWJY
And then in Pages -> that main shop page , assign a custom sidebar to it http://screencast.com/t/Ap8UkpYZie85 that you have previously created in Appearance -> Widgets, and insert desired widgets into it . That sidebar will be applied to main shop page, as well as product categories.

Thank you for a fast reply, I tried this, and it works. But the categories are not showing on the shop page. So I created some content with VC where are links on some categories, but the pictures with text look weird, as you can see on the link. Maybe it because the theme doesn’t work again – the logo isn’t showing, side area widgets aren’t showing as well…

As for this page that you created, using Image With Text over elements, add this css in Qode -> Global Options -> Custom CSS field:

This works great, thank you. Now the biggest problem I am facing for like 10th time with this theme is that nothing works as it is supposed to… I already created so many tickets and no solution. Why is there is no logo, why the menu panel is still the same height, when it is supposed to get smaller with scroll, why the side area widgets don’t appear? Its not because of plugins or server error. I would really like a working solution. Thank you very much.

Have I “very old versions of theme and Visual composer”??? Subway 1.8, Wordpress 4.3 and Visual composer 4.7.4 are the most current versions that you admit in your Item Details. If they are old, update the theme.
At least look before to shoot the crap… and replay to the tickets in a decent time
