Hello, when is the update being released ?

We recently released Bridge update, and we are now working on updates for our other themes. Elision theme is next one, and after that we will probably start working on Subway theme. We don’t have exact date of release, but it shouldn’t be longer than two weeks.

Thank you, I am concerned you haven’t updated since last year. All the plugins are out of date and now my star ratings have stopped working. I was going to buy extended support like i have on bridge but can you gaurentee you are going to keep updating this theme? i have bought this theme years ago, but had no time to set up the new site since this week. I know, that my support has expired, but maybe it would be possible to answer my question or give me a hint. I can not set up an image gallery with external links/images. I inserted the external links as followed (with enter at the end of the line): www.name.com www.name2.com www.name3.com

We fixed gallery with external links functionality in one of theme update, so please update theme an all required plugins to latest versions and try to set gallery again. thank you very much for your support and your kind response. Unfortunately external links are still not working with image gallery’s even though they work with single images. Because of buying this theme some years ago, my ticketsupport has expired already. Therefore i am going to skip the image gallery and realize the site with single images. I have just updated to the latest version of this theme and the visual composer is missing from the edit page.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled the theme and also visual composer with no joy.
I even purchased visual composer and updated to the latest version but still the problem persists.

We just tested latest theme version, and Visual Composer is working fine. Probably there is some plugin conflict on your side. Try disabling all 3rd party plugins one by one and test every time. If that does not help, please share a link to your site so we can cehck if correct versions were installed.

We cannot see entire code from the image but it is certain that there is some error within the code. Pay attention that most shortcodes contain from opening and closing code and contents is between. If you cannot find where is that error, try to create that page from scratch or you can contact our support for assistance. I updated the theme and now a lot of visual composer elements don’t work and have disappeared from their menu. How can I put them back. Your theme is blocking them. A lot of people have purchased a vc license and you are preventing it from working. Please tell me where to remove vc_remove_element so I can continue using visual composer?

Please understand that we released our theme much before Visual Composer inducted new elements, and also we altered some of the existing elements in order to achieve theme design and functionality which is present today. Unfortunately working with 3rd party visual builders can be a drawback sometimes, because we cannot know which functionality will be added and if it will be compatible. All modifications to Visual Composer elements is done from this file: wp-content\themes\subway\extendvc\extend-vc.php

I am thinking of buying this theme for client’s website. I have one question. There is a section with four image+icon+text elements just below the slider in the home basic example. When you point a mouse the image animates few pixels towards the top of the page. In the demo these elements are not the links. Is it possible to make these elements clickable, links to other pages?

wp-includes/formatting.php is WordPress core file, so this is most likely caused by some 3rd party plugin. Anyway, since this is a warning not an error, you can hide it by disabling wp_debug https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG and also ask your host to disable PHP warnings. Warnings shouldn’t be enabled on live enviroment.

I just did a reinstalled your theme on my site, after having to upload a back up of the website due to it being hacked, however, on this fresh install of wordpress and after downloading and uploading your theme, I’m trying to readd my logo, and the section is all grayed out in the QODE Options. Is there suddenly an issue w/ the Image w/ Text Over alignment? My titles and subtitles will only left align, not center align and I see no area to fix this in.

By default, the content in this element in center aligned, no issues with it. Make sure please that you have the latest theme version and that you have updated Visual Composer to the latest version as well.
Alternatively, try using this css in Qode -> Global Options -> Custom CSS field:

I’m having the same issue I see many others keep having. I have the most recent version of your theme via the toolkit installed, however, Visual Composer has a newer version (4.12) and it will not load in my admin panel at all. I see layerslider also has a new version with no way to get the newest release. I already deleted cache and that’s not working, either. Do a resolution for this? Thanks!
Additionally, I was previously told that when I used the toolkit, it would update all other files that come with the main theme for the child theme (such as WooCommerce), however, I’m getting 3 error messages when I activate the Child theme: PHP Version: 1) 5.4.45 – We recommend a minimum PHP version of 5.6. See 2) subway-child/woocommerce/content-product.php version 2.5.0 is out of date. The core version is 2.6.1, 3) subway-child/woocommerce/single-product/add-to-cart/variable.php version 2.4.0 is out of date. The core version is 2.5.0. Lastly, I have the exact same Custom CSS in both the main theme and child theme and when I activate the child theme, it’s making my footer really, really long (which is not any custom css I have anyway). I suspect that there are aspects of the main theme that are not updating in the child theme. Do you have a resolution for these issues on why they’re not updating via the Envato Toolkit?

Latest Subway version we released on 7th of July is Subway 2.1 , and it included the latest versions of Visual Composer (4.12) and Layer Slider (5.6.9).
So, first make sure you have the latest theme version. If you do – you can then update both plugins to the latest versions:
Method 1: in your WP admin , go to Plugins, deactivate and delete these plugins, you will then get a notification at the top of your WP admin to install them again, and just click on it to install/activate them again. Note that main theme (parent theme) must be active while doing this.
OR:
2. in wp-content/themes/subways/plugins folder, you can find zip files for these plugins. Download them to your PC. Then delete currect plugins you have installed, and install these new ones from the downloaded zips.
As for your additional questions – theme update does not affect child theme folder. The errors you see are related to some woocommerce templates you have put into child theme, since you probably made some modifications in them. WooCommerce released a major update recently, and we also had to update our overridden templates. So , you should see these files in main theme, and copy them to your child theme, and re-do the changes you made to them.
As for your footer issues – submit a ticket to https://qode.ticksy.com with a link to your site, so that our team can inspect this and help.

create as many testimonials as you want.
And then, go to Pages -> and on some page, with Visual Composer, add Testimonials element and fill in desired settings, and that’s it , that will display your testimonials http://screencast.com/t/gpvpzIji

I am out of support, and have asked the client to reinstate the support, will follow up on this but having a simple and weird issue… Site: thetreasurechestfl.com featured products are supposed to show 5 per page per row and it is definitely not loading up that way on many devices… Seems to be buggy VC issue… Wondering if I just have clients get a solid license of their own for VC if some of those issues would go away?

Hi, I have purchased your theme and developed it in my dev environment. Its working fine.Then I backup it and move to live environment. entire site is working fine, EXCEPT ‘goole map’.
Still google map is workinging in dev environment but NOT in live environment. It gives this error in console,

Yes, Google Maps API policy has changed, so you need to include API key now. We will correct this in the future theme update, for the moment, you can generate your own API key and add it to the google maps API call in theme files

All you should do is to update our theme and VC to latest versions. So, just update Subway theme to version 2.0.1 and also update VC (came bundled) to version 4.11.2.1 After that, make sure your cache is cleared and everything should be working back fine.

You can upgrade our theme by performing following steps:
1.Download latest theme zip file from ThemeForest
2.Extract it and locate subway.zip
3.Extract subway.zip and locate subway folder
4.Copy/Replace the content of subway folder to /wp-content/themes/subway folder of your web site.
