Hi, I just upload my Oshine to the latest version, but the thumbnail image is not showing on the portfolio grid after importing Demo (V28, V29), how do I fix this? Thank you so much.

I have been using the OSHIN theme for almost a year now with no issues, but yesterday I could not access my website at all. When I go to my website (rsatalent.net) it shows the following code: https://imgur.com/a/djVpl.

I am not able to do anything and I cant even get into my dashboard! The login screen for the dashboard does not show up at all. when i go to /wp-admin/

I need to fix this ASAP, but I have no idea what to do. I do have FTP access and I tried to upload a new theme completely fresh but that did not work. I also tried removing OSHIN completely from my website through FTP, but even with the theme not in the /wp-contents/ my website still does not load at all. Usually when you remove your current theme from that folder it reverts to a default theme, but my website wont even do that. THe OSHIN theme functions.php file just complete broke the site. I have no edited the functions.php file in any way, or added code to it. It just out of the blue stopped working.

I also tried removing all plugins to see if that was the cause of the problem and it still did not work. Is there anyway I can get into the dashboard at least? I feel like I may be able to fix it if I can get into the dashboard, but that log in page doesnt even load.

How do I fix this?

Its not possible for the theme to stop working all of sudden without external factors. Looking at the error shown, it looks like your server permissions changed recently. As you can see from the error, a file required by the theme, is unable to be opened and being denied permission by your server. Removing the theme completely and still receiving the same error means that you server is serving a cached output. Please share your wordpress admin and FTP access via help@brandexponents.com, so that we can check the error logs and confirm the problem. If its a permissions error, then it needs to be handled by your server.

Please note the following: 1. I’m running a Multi-site WP version 2. WP version 4.9.1 3. I installed v 6.1.2, it seems that new themes 30-35 are – missing in the themes folder. 4. Whenever I try to “import” a theme from the “Oshine” console in WP, I just get this graphic that just spins around – endlessly.

To make sure that I’m not “crazy” I deleted my OSHINE theme – completely, please note:

1. Re-downloaded the theme (themeforest-9545812-oshine-creative-multipurpose-wordpress-theme.zip)

2. Reinstalled the theme.

3. Reinstalled all plugins from the “Welcome to Oshine” console page (including the “Oshine Core”); “Good news! All plugins are already installed and up to date. Please continue.”

4. Still cannot add content for v31. I just get this graphic that just spins around – endlessly. Note: All “new” themes v30-v35 are still missing in the “themes” folder – which seems odd.

5. I think this may be a “bug”, Swami. (FYI, I’m using the “Chrome” browser.)

6. I don’t mind paying for support for my own user error/ignorance, but for a potential “bug” – that (to me) seems – different. And, I do trust you guys – but I REALLY don’t want to give admin access to my site – to anyone; surely, you can understand.

... Again, I KNOW you’re busy- but please – advise when you can.

FYI (current values):

DOMDocument: Supported | memory_limit: 256M | max_execution_time*: 360

(All have a green dot next to them – which indicates that my current server values are – OK, right?)

This is not a bug, as we do not have any other buyer reporting this issue. We have tested the Import Process for the new demos and they do work well. Kindly provide your URL, wp-admin id and password so we can check what is causing this issue in your site and also provide instructions on alternate method to import demo data. My menu was centered and now its left justified and I checked the settings and they seem to have it set to a center menu. Any idea if I clicked something wrong?

The Header Style that you have chosen is not reflecting in the markup. Kindly navigate to OSHINE OPTION > TOP HEADER SETTINGS > HEADER STYLE and choose the respective header style and SAVE the settings once and that should fix the issue. If the problem persists, do email your URL, wp-admin id and password so we can investigate this further.

Please can you help me with the clash between WooCommerce & Oshin.

I want to update WooCommerce, but every time I do the font sizes increase in the extreme under all products, and inexplicable gaps appear under the homepage Portfolio images when the Oshin modules are updated.

I had my portfolio set up as the demos showed – boxes that you can click on to view the gallery and a menu that would narrow down the portfolio files to whatever category I had them in. Something happened when I was editing my website and now the portfolio page looks like a blog page. How do I fix this and bring it back to what I had??

It is likely that you have added the BLOG module in the Portfolio Page. If so you can edit the page in TATSU and remove the BLOG module.

OR, you may have accidentally set the Portfolio Page as the POSTS page under SETTINGS > READING. Removing this selection should fix the issue.

Dear Oshine team, I have an urgent question – since we have updated your Oshine Theme we faced several issues: Chosen Blog and Portfolio columns did not show up properly anymore – so we changed it from 3 to 4 columns and it was fine on the portfolio page. It was a workaround because the bewished 3 columns did no work any more. When we changed the same for the blog ( just choosed for more columns ), it worked for the blog but it caused a sudden error: all other pages turned almost blank. In the visual composer we can see that the content is still there but are not displayed anymore. Our website is unusable now. In the forum I noticed more people with this problem. I have a question regarding tabs with the Tatsu Page Builder. At the moment when a tab is selected the page jumps up at the same time as the material is shown and the tab gets hidden under the menu. It is a little disconcerting from a user perspective as it causes a momentary element of disorientation when viewing the page. Is it possible that when a user clicks on a tab the material is shown without the page also jumping up?

Hi, I mean that once a tab is put into a website page, when a user clicks the tab, the website page jumps up and shows the material. It looks odd, especially since the page jumps up so that the tab menu then sits under the menu bar so it becomes confusing. It would be better that if a user clicks the tab, the material is shown without the page also moving at the same time.

Hi, I’d like to use the call to action button in the Tatsu editor in my menu and my footer but I can’t figure out how to add it. I’d like it to be aligned left in the menu (where the logo would go) and in the footer, I’d like it to be in aligned centre where widget 2 would go.

Hi Joy,

You can add the Newsletter Module in the Header, by pasting the shortcode in the HEADER WIDGET AREA under OSHINE OPTIONS > TOP HEADER SETTINGS > HEADER WIDGETS. Paste the module against CODE CONTENTS and set the position of Code Contents to LEFT. Note that, widgets add to the left side, will be visible only in Header Styles that has logo visible in the center.

To add the module in the Footer, you need to paste the shortcode in the respective footer widget area under APPEARANCES > WIDGETS.

To copy any module you need to create the module in any of your pages (using TATSU) and click on CMD + C to copy and CMD + V to paste it.

I created a Call to Action module on a page, edited it and copied and pasted it as per your instructions for the header but I’m getting error messages about expecting a JSON value instead?

For the footer, under Appearances > widgets, do you mean I have to drag the HTML widget to the widget area and then paste the code from the module I created in TATSU?

Hi, I added mailchimp for wordpress and created a form, but I can’t figure out where the mailchimp plugin is taking the font attributes from other than it inheriting from the Oshine theme. I would like to change the font size. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks Joy

You can use the CSS code below to modify the Font size for the Label and Form field in the newsletter page -

You need to paste the code in the custom CSS section under OSHINE OPTIONS > GENERAL SETTINGS.

The code does not seem to take effect as you have turned ON the Options Panel Cache in the GENERAL SETTINGS panel. Kindly turn OFF the cache and Save the settings and the code should take effect.

Hello, my name is Marta. On thursday I bought oshine theme and since the fisrt day I have problems with tatsu editor. The page builder didn’t work then and Still not working. It’s very frustrating cause I cannot do it anything, and I paid for the use of the theme. I wrote 2 e-mails to: help@brandexponents.com, and today I still not having any answer (maybe because we are in christmas days or not, I don’t know). Please, If you are able to solve my problem as soon as posible, it would be very nice. The theme is awsome, useful in my work (photography and filmmaking). But if I don’t get any support in these days, You will have to return me the money.

We have been using Oshine theme for 2 years now, and still in love with it, but has some issues recently:

I added a video as a Background and everything looks fine until I tried to see the website from an iPhone.

From the iPhone, the video is frozen in the first frame.

This is also happening in your Demo

Hi,

Unfortunately video backgrounds are not supported in mobile devices. This is because mobile operating systems play videos separately using its the native video player and not directly inline inside a browser. This is not just a limitation of our theme. We provide an option to use a static background image instead in a mobile device. You can also have a play icon or a watch the video button, which you can link to a video that will played in a lightbox. You can have this icon / button visible only in a mobile device.

The problem is that Android devices I tried, did work nicely with the background video, but iphone just showed the first frame… :(

I didn’t pretend to say this was your theme limitation, sorry if looked that way.

In any case, we decided to hide video background for mobile devices and add more personal experience for mobile users (so finding that, I think we will actually make the user experience better overall :) ). These changes are now much easier and intuitive with the tatsu editor, so thanks a bunch for that implementation

URGENT – I’ve tried 3 different browsers but every time I made an edit to the page I get a status code 403 error – unable to save in Tatsu. Please help!

Hi Jo,

A 403 error is a server permissions error and is likely because of your servers mod_security settings. In this case contact your hosting provider immediately and ask them to check their logs as to what is causing the permissions error. They can turn off the security setting causing the false positive. We have responded to your email and requested for admin access to confirm the problem, but contacting your host in parallel can help you resolve the issue quickly.
