The issue is server-related. You most likely have Safe mode or allow_url_fopen = Off in PHP settings or outgoing server requests are forbidden in firewall.
The issue can be solved by adding the following line:
php_value allow_url_fopen On
- to .htaccess file on your FTP
or
allow_url_fopen = On;
- to php.ini or php5.ini file on your FTP.

You should login into FTP ( please get the FTP login credentials from your hosting provider if you do not have them on file), locate the .htaccess file and add this line of code to it php_value allow_url_fopen On
If the issue still persists, please open the php.ini or php5.ini file on your FTP and add this piece of code:

I just did the update of the last version without changing anything – but now, the colors settings are wrong:
For exemple accent color in admin is different from the website, and i think it’s a bug because it wasn’t before the update:

After the update in order to restore your Fonts and Colors settings, please go to Appearance – Fonts and Colors and just click ‘Save’ without making any changes there, then clear the browser cache and you should see your changes back.

If you mean the Fonts and Colors section options, please go to Fonts and Colors and without making any changes, just click ‘Save’ there. It will restore your fonts and colors options back.
If the theme options were lost, if means that you have either clicked ’ Activate’ in Appearance – Themes in admin during the update or switched between the parent and child themes. Please check this article for more info: https://themerex.ticksy.com/article/9476 . So the only way to restore the theme options in this case is with the help of the site backup ( please contact your hosting provider for it if you do not have it on file). As soon as you restore the site to the previous version, please emake sure to perform the theme update following the directions below in order not to lose the settings:
1. Make the full site backup.
2. Navigate to wp-content/themes directory on FTP and rename the jacqueline folder to jacqueline123, for example.
3. Then upload the unzipped jacqueline theme from the new theme update package to wp-content/themes directory on FTP.
4. With that done correctly, you should go to Appearance – Themes in admin and should see the new theme version for the parent theme instead of the old one. Please do not click ‘Activate’ in order not to lose the changes. If the old jacqueline theme is renamed on FTP and the new version is uploaded via FTP properly ( see points 2-3 above), you should see the new theme version already activated.
Also, please note that if you use the child theme for your site, make sure to have the child theme backup as well, also please note that if you activate the parent theme instead of the child theme, you will lose all settings. In order to avoid that, please read this article (it is on Invetex theme, so please note that in your case it will be ‘jacqueline’ instead of ‘invetex’ in the code: https://themerex.ticksy.com/article/9476

yes, i mean the fonts and colors section. did that but did not change anything. mean all settings are done properly in this section but still not displayed in the frontend.
also still have the lastest theme version on the ftp, just unnamed, as always to have a backup to restore. if i rename this again all settings are ok, after switching same issue.

Having issues uploading the theme. I’ve changed all the parameters as suggested in your instructions. I still get the error “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.” Please provide a solution.

The error means that the upload_max_filesize needs to be increased.
Please contact your hosting provider to make sure that your PHP configuration limits are as follows:
max_execution_time 600
memory_limit 256M
post_max_size 32M
upload_max_filesize 32M
Even if you have increased the parameters on your own, sometimes it is still required for the hosting provider to take care of that. So please, get in touch with them. Or you can also try to install the theme via FTP:
Log into your web server with FTP client software
Unzip the jacqueline.zip file and ONLY use the extracted /Jacqueline theme folder
Upload the extracted /Jacqueline theme folder into /wp-content/themes folder
Activate the newly installed theme. Go to Appearance > Themes and activate it.

Got it installed. Now I’m having problems with actually editing the theme/dummy data. There is no frontend or backend VC capabilities to edit the theme, even though the plugin is installed and activated. Do I need to purchase license for the WPBakery Page Builder? What am I missing?

Seems like your Visual Composer version needs to be updated. Could you please submit the support ticket at https://themerex.ticksy.com/ with your Purchase Code so that we can send you the new plugin version to update.
As for the licences, purchasing these plugins licences is optional and not needed if they came bundled with a theme.
Since Visual composer and Revolution Slider plugins are a part of the theme, the new versions of them are included into each theme with every new theme update.

1. This is a third-party plugin which was not included into the theme by default, so please contact the plugin authors for help. Besides, we do not guarantee the theme 100% compatibility with any types of plugins and extensions which were not included into the theme by default.
2. To translate the contact form fields, as well as the top bar menu text, please edit the jacqueline.pot file. The procedure is as follows:
Set the language you prefer in Settings – General in your admin.
Open the jacqueline.pot file in wp-content/themes/languages directory on FTP in Poedit software.
Click ‘Create New Translation’ in the file and select the language you prefer (make sure the language variation is the same as selected inSettings – General in admin) http://prntscr.com/doe3l0 . With that done the .po file will be generated out of .pot one. Translate the text strings in Poedit software and save the file. As soon as you save this .po file, the .mo file will be generated automatically.
Upload these .po and .mo file to wp-content/themes/languages directory on FTP

How come all my styling and custom changes are all messed up after updating? This is the second time I want to update, and both times the whole theme is going crazy. Headings are like 1200px. What is going on? I have never seen this before.
I re-saved the permalinks, stylesheets, theme options, custom css, but nothing works. It looks like every save is making things worse.
Please help me out. What am I doing wrong? :-/

when you want to add more than 1 item into the cart and want to add more via the arrow up icon next to the item quantity – it adds 2 more every time you press more. same goes for less – 2 steps – not one by one!
You have to fix this, please really soon as possible!!!

As for the fix on your client’s website, please just delete this piece of code from wp-content\themes\jacqueline\fw\js\core.init.js file to solve the issue:
