Yes you can add Form in the Home Page section. The theme has an inbuilt contact form which has a definite set of fields. However, if you have to add a more specific form, you can use the Contact Form 7 plugin which is compatible with the theme. Do let me know if you have further questions.

Hi,
By default the Portfolio items are ordered based on Creation Date. To reorder them, you can manually modify this date in the backend. Alternatively, you can use the Post Types Order plugin, but this is not compatible if you are using Infinite Load or Load More Pagination in your Portfolio grid.

You need to navigate to PORTFOLIO > ALL PORTFOLIOS and click on the post item to edit the date. You can find the option to edit the date in the PUBLISH panel in the right side. If any problem persists, do email your URL, wp-admin id and password using the contact from in the support tab so we can investigate further.

Ok, i think i’ve found a trick to avoid the “reverse mode”
It’s the same thing if i create a galery with Tatsu editor or if i create a portfolio in the dashboard.
To select dozens pictures, i use to do shift-clic on the 1st picture and shift-clic on the last picture i want.
Like this, pictures are on the reverse mode. The last one to the first. Like if we read a book from the end… not very interesting !
But, if i ctrl-clic on each picture like the order i want, the gallery is in the right direction : i see the 1st, then the 2nd picture, then the 3rd….
I don’t know why but it’s good like this…
Do you know why the batch selection with shift-clics doesn’t work ?

I have purchased Oshine 6.3.1 couple of days ago and have few questions, apologies if these are very basic, but I’m quite new to wordpress.
1. TYPOGRAPHY under Oshine Options – is missing. It just keeps disappearing. Didn’t have it upon installation, removed theme, installed again, had it for a day, disappeared again
2. MENU – Top Header Style 7 – Right Sliding Menu – Push Page Sliding style – the X close to the menu disappears when the menu is open.
3. FOOTER – tertiary Text disappears on tablet, it looks like it’s not responsive? How can I fix this?
4. Footer widget area – is it possible to remove 1 widget to have 3 widgets instead of 4 and adjust the width of the widgets e.g. I want to have 1st widget 40% of length and last 2 widgets 30% each
5. Offset section – I want to have a section with text placed after the section with image, and make text partially overlap the image. When I offset text section to cover part of an image, it is leaving empty space behind? How can I offset it so I can input another image or text right after the text section without having that empty space? Also, when I offset the section, it looks ok on desktop but on tablet or mobile it just covers the majority of the image, is this function responsive?
6. HERO Section image – once inserted, when I view page on desktop, the image is cut off and not fully displayed, only full image is displayed on mobile? image size i have inserted: 1980×980

Hi Swami, I bought your theme a year and half ago and love it. Therefore, I’m going to build a new website with Oshine theme and I’d like to add a Shop by using WooCommerce.
I added WooCommerce, imported both the theme V4 and the Shop Samples but when I check the website, the Shop, Product page, etc aren’t the same as your example (http://oshinewptheme.com/v4/shop/).

We use license primarily for updates only. So all you have to do is just copy your purchase code from your test site and use it in your actual site, you will not have any issue adding into your main site.

on my portfolio (overview-)page I have two have two different portfolio-types. Some with a SINGLE PAGE and some they only linked to an external website.
On the SINGLE PAGES I use the „Portfolio Navigation“ module. When I click trough the portfolio the ones with an external link are also shown as an empty page. Although I have set the „Portfolio Single Page Style“ to „None“ under „Portfolio Options“. I don’t want to see these external link-portfolios as a separate page.
I would be glad, if you could tell me how to solve this.

You can set a special category for external linked portfolio and then check in the 'Navigate within category' option under the Portfolio Title Bar meta tab in the respective edit portfolio page so that it will skip the specific category and navigate to the other portfolio items. This issue can be fixed within the code so that the navigation will skip if the portfolio style is linked to an external page, we will patch a fix for skiping the portfolios that are set has external link in early next week if you can wait.Thanks, Varsha

You can find the “Navigate within Category” option if you select the “Show Portfolio Title and Navigation Bar” option under the Portfolio Title Bar meta tab in the respective edit portfolio page. thanks for your answer. But unfortunately this does not work. I set up two different categories. One for the normal portfolios, one for the external link portfolio and I adjusted the options as you discribed in your post before.
But the external portfolio still appears as an empty site when I click through the portfolio navigation. It seems that the option “Navigate within Category” does not work correctly. Could it be?

We cannot replicate the issue with ‘Navigate within category’ and hence this does not look like an issue in the theme itself.
However, we will add a feature to exclude External Portfolio Links from Navigation in our upcoming updates, and that should serve your purpose. This once again, is not a bug, but a feature which we are looking to add in the theme.

Thanks for your interest. Yes the theme is retina ready and you can easily setup a retina logo. We just haven’t uploaded a retina logo in our demos, but it’s certainly possible. I can setup an example if you like one.

Hi, I love the theme but I was astonished by seeying that there is no option to restrict the blog posts by category in the blog module. And the options to customize the blog are really restricted too. Would you please consider to implement the theme soon? These options are pretty common in the others major themes. Cheers!

Hi, I’m trying to change the font of some specific words in taste, when I use the H6 tag for example it changes the whole paragraph instead of the words I’m highlighting. Is there any way to change some words to text that is not in the regular tatsu font list… or is there a way I can add more fonts to the list? Thanks, Angela

You can add a span tag with font size mentioned around the text which you need to highlight in the text tab of the tatsu editor panel of the text module and save the changes

The option to enable the Navigation Bar in the Portfolio Post Page is optional and this option is present in the PORTFOLIO OPTIONS metabox. The option is labeled – Show Porfolio Title and Navigation Bar .

I believe Slider Revolution doesnt require Oshine Options > Global Site Layout and Settings > Instagram access token which is blank curretnly

I’m not able to turn on or off the Cache Options Panel Settings (its currently tuend on, however, i can not turn it OFF).
Everytime I attempt to turn OFF and hit the “save changes” button the following error box appear
“There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page.”
This has been going on for months, I just thought it would resolve itself after updates and such but no luck.Hopefully its an easy fix but please advise if i need to renew anything to get your help.

I contacted support with details but have not heard back. Here are few of my issues which may be useful for others to know answers to as well:
1) PORTFOLIO – SINGLE PAGE SETTINGS – Page Style: “Center Slide Carousel Slider” and “Ribbon Carousel Slide” (Horizontal Sliders which allows you to have Information panel as a first slide) in “Slider settings” have an option to “Enable Keyboard Control” as well as “Enable Normal/Free Scroll” (which in regular Horizontal Carousel Slider moves page left/right) – the problem is when these options are selected for the “Center Slide Carousel Slider” or “Ribbon Carousel Slide” they don’t work. Keyboard control does not advance the images and page does not scroll left/right.
2) HOME PAGE – Demo Home Page V13 – Page Scroll to sections
Tatsu Editor: How to fit Google maps as 100% hight of the screen? Section is set to “Enable Full Screen”, Row is set to “Full-width row” and “fullscreen columns” but the Google Map module only option is to set a fixed height in pixels.
3) MENU – Top Header Style 7 – Right Sliding Menu – Push Page Sliding style
On some pages the X to close the menu disapears when the menu is open, on some it shows up. Seems random or other elements on pages influence its behaviour. Also on those pages the “push” slide style is not active it just overlays the page.

For the PORTFOLIO Module, you provide the ability to set the number of columns (1-5) but is there a way to control how many columns the viewer sees on different screens? For some pages I don’t want the portfolio grid to break into two columns or one column on smaller screens but remain five columns just have tiny thumbs (almost like a secondary navigation) but the only option that I have now is set that column to either be visible or not visible on mobile or tablet. Is there a place where we can customize how elements look on Mobile views?

Unfortunately, the option to change the numbers of columns in a grid cannot be modified based on screen size. The size of the images are dynamically calculated in the backend based on the number of columns and hence there isn’t a straight forward option to modify this. We will consider adding this option in our future updates.

Any resolutions to my question #1 – “Enable Keyboard Control” as well as “Enable Normal/Free Scroll” for the PORTFOLIO – SINGLE PAGE SETTINGS – Page Style: “Center Slide Carousel Slider” and “Ribbon Carousel Slide”? Currently, when you select those controls in either template they don’t work. It’s imperative to UX for horizontal portfolios to scroll left and right when a person uses their mouse wheel or “left / right” keys on the keyboard. This function works well on Horizontal Carousel Slider but not in the other two Horizontal sliders. Thank you in advance.

With regard to the ribbon and centre slide carousels they do not support mouse wheel gestures as it supports a pinch and drag gesture. Most pinch and drag slider scripts do not properly support mouse wheel gesture which is why we have the horizontal carousel option. With regard to keyboard shortcuts on these sliders it’s definitely something we can implement in an upcoming update.
With regard to mobile specific styling, early next week you will receive an update to our page builder which will have responsive controls for many options like section column padding etc. We already have responsive typography setting via our Typehub plugin. The theme has been coded with responsive breakpoints and values which work well for most cases. We are adding more controls in such a way that it is still intuitive and doesn’t make the interface more complex for an average user at the same time enhancing customizability. Stay tuned until next week for the first iteration of responsive controls within our builder.

It is likely that the issue with selecting the menu item in your site is due to the Custom Font that is used for Navigation Menu. The issue does not occur in all browsers versions. while we are looking for a fix to this solution, you can use an alternative Font to have the issue fixed in your site. Roboto font is a near equivalent to the custom font used in our demo.

Thank you for your interest in purchasing OSHINE. You should not have any issues in migrating the POSTS and MEDIA files. However the contents in your pages have be manually moved from BE page builder to TATSU builder that is used in OSHINE. Though, we can help you in using the BE to TATSU converter to transfer some of your existing content directly to TATSU, you will still have a portion of your content that will need manual migration. Do reach out to our support team in case you need any assistance with the theme.
