And sorry to say that but as you know that our theme is purely based on Woocommerce and WooCommerce by default has not provided the functionality of product comparison. So you have to use any third party plugin for that.

Lord pages can be customized with fields from other pages? I explain the corporate theme 8 I like some functions but not all, then what I want to do is put a price table and domain search as well as the hosting page. I do not like the pages very much, that’s why I want to do that.

Sorry to say that but you do not edit Archive/Lord Pages, but you can set the functionality for those Archive/Lord Pages from Appearance >> Theme Options as per your requirements.

Hi, I just made the theme purchase and I’m having some issues when trying to import demo content. The system status return ok to every requirement, and still I can’t import the content. This is the message I get: “Failed importing! Please check the “System Status” tab to ensure your server meets all requirements for a successful import. Settings that need attention will be listed in red. If your server provider does not allow to update settings, please try using alternative import mode.”

I’ve tried both standard and alternative mode and all the required plugins are activated. The php version is 5.6.21.

Is there anything else I have to do to import the demo content?

Hi, how can I make single image on product page fixed size, so it’s cropped to 600×400. Can only set width and aspect ratio on thumbnails.

A new thumbnail cropping section in the customizer will allow store owners to select one of three cropping ration settings with visual cues:

1:1 (Square cropping)
Custom (Store owner can enter a custom aspect ratio)
Uncropped (Preserve single image aspect ratio)

Image sizes are then calculated based on the cropping option selected and the image width.

Hi, it’s not about thumbnails – only about main image just above the thumbnails on product page. It does say “Image size used for the main image on single product pages. These images will remain uncropped.” – does it mean can’t be cropped to specific ratio?

Hello.. I just found that after one of the latest releases the header menu and language switchers dissapeared from top header in mobile view. A critical finding for the international website which no longer is multilangual because of this.

Then i found this new CSS and another for the switcher menu: @media all and (max-width: 991px) { #header:not(.header-builder) .top-links { display: none; } }

And wondering why things like this is added without a solid information in the change-log? Things like this can cause big losses for any webshop and i understand that we really need to test and check every aspect of the site after a porto update but that is not easy and take a lot of time.

This is important changes that should find a place in the change log.

Can not update theme, my current version is 4.5, but there is a new one 4.8. There is no porto update in wordpress dashboard, and when i update via ftp, it says theme is damaged and lacks css styles table.

Please once try to update the theme by following the steps listed below hope you will not find an issue and if yes then please contact us through our support system with your site WP Admin and CPanel Login details so we will update the theme for you.

First of all please take the complete backup of your site/theme current version and then please make sure that your server requirements must meet the latest theme minimum requirements as given in the theme documentation here: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/category/general/installation/ and also please deactivate all the site third-party plugins before an update because many of the times the third party plugins conflict with the new theme files and creating an issue for the site but you have to activate the third party plugins again after theme update one by one.

Please try to install/update your theme by yourself first if you fail then we will do it for you. Please follow the below steps:

1. Take the complete backup of your current site. (If you are updating theme)
2. Go to CPanelwp-content/themes and rename old theme Porto to anything. (If you are updating theme)
3. Upload the latest zip file of the theme there in wp-content/themes.
4. Extract the zip file of the theme there.
5. Go to WP Admin Panel >> Appearance and activate the theme there.

Your theme will be updated easily.

Note: Please take a complete backup of your site before update the theme and also deactivate/delete these three plugins (Porto Widgets, Porto Shortcode, Porto Content-Type) before an update because in our latest theme we have made a new Plugin named Porto Functionality is a combination of these 3 plugins so before install Porto Functionality you must deactivate/delete those 3 plugins and in our new update also Ultimate addon for Visual composer Plugin is also excluded, the elements which are used in the site of Ultimate Addon we add those elements in Porto Functionality so no need to worry but you can use Ultimate Addon for visual composer as well it is up to you.
