Hi Simion but your default demo should load at good speed. 9.0 seconds is a bad load time and you are saying the it’s fine. But google will not say the same

I own newsmag. I want to upgrade my site with this template. My concern is, the designs made by tagdiv. If i upload this theme will all my page designs be automatically implemented once i activate this theme? or will i have to edit all of them again

The pages you created will remain as you created them, with the elements you used in them. Installing the Newsmag theme won’t affect your pages. Depending on how you created them, you may need to recreate the pages with Newsmag, and the composer provided with it. So i’m assuming, based on the post template I used, it may have to be recreated because the post templates in newsmag and newspaper are differen.t But the way I built pages with tagdiv will remain the same because newspaper uses the same builder and code correct?

That is correct, if you are referring to post templates. They are different. You can select from the post templates Newsmag provides. Regarding the pages it depends on what elements you used in the pages, as there are types of blocks, grids etc that are available only in the Newspaper composer, and not for Newsmag. If that is the case, you can recreate the pages using the elements that the Newsmag composer provides.

I figured it out. I have to use both tagdiv and bakery builders. tagdiv for pages and bakery allows you to build posts.

You don’t have to use WPBakery for the posts. Is this required for your posts, instead of using the WordPress provided editors? We don’t recommend to use WPBakery for the posts, if possible, only for pages if needed https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ If you build the posts with it, then WPBakery will always have to be active, same as the composer. Also there may be other issues, like possible layout issues.

Unfortunately, the WPBackery was not tested for editing the posts, and that’s why we do not recommend using it. We have implemented our TD Composer as a page builder which works as expected only for editing the page with the Newsmag. Also, if you want, please note that you can change your theme with our Newspaper which allows you to edit your posts with our TD Composer because the Cloud Template Library was included in that theme. Hello there! I have wordpress 5.4.2, newspaper them v 10.3.5, php.7.2 and all plugins updated and still i am not able to run Updraftplus plugin and do some backups. This plugin crashes my site. Any ideas to solve it?... Maybe the Newspaper template or the plugins that uses the template are not compatible with Updraftplus plugin?... Thank you so much.

It is insanely ridiculous that we can only specify random or popular content show up in a module from the past 7 days or the entire life span of the website. We don’t publish enough for 7 days and posts about Halloween are showing up.
Ridiculously bad user experience for our readers and we have no way around it.
And I can’t even randomize through a list of posts that I specify? This is straight trash. I think I have to move on from this theme.

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to randomize through a list of posts that you will specify. What you could do is to create a special category where you can add only the posts you want, and then you can randomize the posts from that category on the block.

I don’t want to do that, I tried to do that inside of the block because you only give 2 time-based options: the last 7 days or Forever.
That’s insane. Give us more options please!! 14 days, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 1 year, etc… Why is that not already done? Not all publishers post dozens of pieces each week.

I love this theme but why are you pushing people so hard to use TD Composer, its not intuitive or user friendly, it looks like a full web designers dream but what about the average Jo….
So many people have asked for you to make this compatible with Elementor and rather than do this you are forcing people to use either your own plugin or the equally as bad visual composer.
I would have thought customers needs come before that of the theme developers?
This theme looks amazing on the front end but its paired up with an awful page builder (td composer) I dont see this ever being user friendly by the way this has been built… Elementor = intuitive & TD Composer = Complicated Online HTML Designer that hardly anyone gets how to use with spacing boxes and elements and stuff that looks a pain to use that should be stuck under an advanced mode tab.
Not trying to be mean but this isnt a cheap theme and people have paid good money for this and rather than give people options to use the builders they know… You have given no choice at all which is very unfair on customer and a little arrogant in my opinion. Sorry to say.

For a quicker and easier start with the theme, especially for new users, we recommend installing a ready made demo, there are plenty to choose from. Also there are ready made blocks, elements, templates and pages from the cloud library. The composer is our page and template builder, it and will continue to be improved in the future, on the functionality side and also concerning ease of use. It should not be the case that all themes are tied to this builder… the theme builder should be able to add function to the theme but when other builders are connected, it should not remove the entire design.
Why would you not make this Elementor compatible… more people use this builder than any other pretty much on Wordpress. It wouldn’t harm you to make it work.
You do care what customers think don’t you or have you grown this theme song much now that customers opinions are no longer important to you?

I can’t say at the moment if the page builder you mention will be officially compatible with our theme in the future. At the moment the composer is the main builder, as most of the theme options/settings are for it, it is a required plugin, and also only through it the cloud library is accessible. Very disappointed with lack of flexibility by the theme providers on this. As mentioned Elementor is what most people are using these days and it should at least be compatible even if not built with it in mind.

1) I have the Newspaper V 10.3.2 and using currently WordPress 5.2.7. It is safe to update to WordPress 5.4.2–es_MX?
2) I am using currently SEOPress plugin because I tried to install Yoast SEO plugin to act with your template but every time i did it my website was chrashed.
-Do you recommend keep using SEOPress instead of Yoast SEO? -Or do I have to do something special to install, use and work with Yoast SEO? -If i move to Yoast SEO once I have updated to WordPress 5.4.2–es_MX It is safe?
3) The same happened to UpdraftPlus pluign, currently i am doing manual backups because every time i used UpdraftPlus pluign my website was chrashed.
-Do you recommend keep doing manual backups instead of UpdraftPlus? -Or do I have to do something special to use UpdraftPlus? -If i use UpdraftPlus once I have updated to WordPress 5.4.2–es_MX It is safe?

1. That will be fine, the latest theme version is compatible with the latest WordPress version.
2/3 You can use your preferred SEO plugin, same for a backup plugin. If the website crashes when you install plugins, check if there is enough wp-memory as a first step https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/ Increase it if needed, also increase the rest of the parameters mentioned in the guide.
4. In the guide we recommend 7.2, 7.3 will be fine as well. You could try 7.4 if you want to use this version, there should be no problems.
5. You can update the plugins you mention, plugins should be updated when new versions are available. Same for the theme and WordPress, if possible.

Theme messing with SEO? After your recommendation I reinstalled the theme again on a different domain for testing. On the Home page I have only the logo, one menu item and the footer with just one menu. Yet I have 4 H1 tags on the same page in the source code. One for desktop, portrait, phone and IE 6 warning? H1 tag is supposed to be used only once on one page. I’m afraid that would mess with SEO since we have multiple tags. Also, how to get rid of the IE6 warning or move the H1 tag to a H6?

1. You are releasing a major update that breaks a site so you should expect support questions from people. Referring to buy support after that is milking your customers. You break it and we have to pay. 2. You told me to send you an email and you never respond. 3. The demo, is this a standard install or a cloud template? Because I’ve tested now 4 times your update with a cloud install and every time we get the multiple H1 tags. We don’t get them with the standard install, only cloud library. And the reason for that, we have to select the logo for Desktop, Portrait and Mobil in TD Composer which apparently results in the H1 tag issue. Also the IE 6 warning code is on the cloud library. 4. Test again. Install cloud library Newspaper Demo PRO, set the logo for Desktop, Portrait and Mobile and you will see the issue. Just try it. Your website update is affecting bad peoples SEO and ranking because of that. 5. Instead of saying it is working on the polished demo, you should dig into it and take a look. Because how you handle the situation looks bad on you on how you handle and deal with your customers. 6. You have a lot of people with TD Composer issue since last update yet you are not addressing it and blaming the server specs which are always met. Out of nowhere it suddenly works again which makes me question: Is your theme talking back home to your servers? What is the need for it other then activating the theme? If your servers go down, is our site not working probably as well? Please explain since this shows how you deal with your customers.

I feel sorry if you are upset but please understand that if you are using a Cloud Header and also, if you have a sticky on desktop and mobile section, you will have an h1 added to the logo for each of that section and that’s why you have four. I’m sorry but this does not fix it. It is not about being upset but how you deal with an issue that is clearly in your update as yourself confirmed it in the reply. Right now, if we are using cloud library header and set the logo for desktop, portrait and mobile, this will result in multiple H1 tags. This is bad for SEO. You can’t tell us to remove H1 from the logo to fix this – this removes the SEO best practice. You guys need to figure out how to not load everything in one single file. Example, I have one blank page with only one menu item, logo and footer yet the theme loads over 2300 lines of code. Please understand that this is a flaw with the cloud library header which needs to be addressed. Understand to take critic as an opportunity to improve your product. Instead of blaming the theme and moving on and telling everyone that I’m having a bad experience, I give you all information needed to fix the issues but canned replies like: “Support expired” don’t work well because the site worked perfectly before the update. Help me to help you.

By default the theme comes with an h1 tag for the logo. Also, if you will add more than one logo into your website (Header, Footer, Sticky Header, etc.) you will have h1 for all of these logos. You should simply disable them from the TD Composer if you do not want use them because you will do not break anything. Please be kind and understand that’s the theme functionality and also, we try doing our best to optimize the theme in each of theme update.

Nevermind. You acknowledged the SEO issue in your own post earlier and ask us to understand that this is how the theme works. You should acknowledge that this is a flaw/issue of your theme. More than 3 H1 Tags on one page. I’ll move on with a different theme. Thanks for not listening and ignoring helpful advice. As a solution for the SEO flaw in your theme you are asking you customers to turn off H1 instead of fixing the issue. SEO and TD Composer issues – confirmed but not acknowledged.
