Hello
After updating wordpress 5.5 we got this javascript error at the post edit template.
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘msie’ of undefined at Object.OT_UI.init_select_wrapper (ot-admin-extended.min.js?ver=1.0.0:1) at Object.init (ot-admin.min.js?ver=2.5.4:1) at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (ot-admin.min.js?ver=2.5.4:1) at i (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2) at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2) at Function.ready (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2) at HTMLDocument.J (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)
The javascript file wich is triggering the error is related to Uncode Core plugin: https://corp.webgarciacarrion.com/wp-content/plugins/uncode-core/includes/theme-options/assets/js/min/ot-admin-extended.min.js?ver=1.0.0
Thank you
Hi pepagroup! If you have updated WordPress you need also to update Uncode and all the plugins to the compatible version: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
Thank you guys for provide the update for WordPress 5.5! I confirm that everything is working fine for me after updating the theme and clear the cache!
Hi Mollichetta and thank you for the kindly words! Much appreciated!
Hey guys, love the theme as always. I thought I’d give you guys a heads up that the back-end editor isn’t functional on all my clients websites (10+). This happened after updating to WordPress 5.5; please pass this along to the dev team.
Note: I’ve cleared all cache, updated all plug-ins then also deactivated said plug-ins in several different combinations on several different websites. Hopefully this gets addressed ASAP. Anyways, thanks team!
Hi tgdecker! If your WordPress update to version 5.5, please update the theme to the latest version that is Uncode 2.8.2.2, you can find all info here, moreover please remember even also a small extra plugins that is not update (maybe the authors haven’t done an update) can produce all these problems: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
A quick solution can be also install the jQuery Migrate plugin but it’s just a workaround since the update work properly.
Anyway, if you need support is offered in our Help Center, there we have a completely dedicated support team, please submit a ticket so we can check your installation and support the solution privately! Thank you! https://support.undsgn.com/hc
Okay sounds good. I’ll submit a ticket, thanks for the quick reply
Sure!
Hello, there seems to be some kind of incompatibility between Uncode Core and a plugin called “Knowledge Base for Documents and FAQs” By Echo Plugins.
When I create a new article in the KB plugin it does not give me the backend builder option even if I select it in supported post types. I can live with that.
BUT the issue always prevents me from adding Media or opening up the cog icon for URL links (eg to send link to a new tab).
Chrome Console reports:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘msie’ of undefined at Object.OT_UI.init_select_wrapper (ot-admin-extended.min.js?ver=1.0.0:1) at Object.init (ot-admin.min.js?ver=2.5.4:1) at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (ot-admin.min.js?ver=2.5.4:1) at i (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery,utils&ver=5.5:2) at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery,utils&ver=5.5:2) at Function.ready (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery,utils&ver=5.5:2) at HTMLDocument.J (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery,utils&ver=5.5:2)
Do you have any suggestions? These files appear to come from Uncode Core? Thank you!
Hi Robbo870! Do you have the issue of the Media in all pages even without this plugin? In this case it’s related to the recent WordPress update: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
I’m having the same problem others are reporting. My theme options accordions do not work. All the options are open by default: https://tinyurl.com/y2an2hj7
Color pickers are missing: https://tinyurl.com/yykh8dlx
Visual composer editor missing: https://tinyurl.com/y59ffmkq
Plugins page screenshot: https://tinyurl.com/y3lqm39s
I’ve disabled all plugins except those that ship with the theme. I’ve also deleted all caches and cookies. I am using the latest version of your plugins and themes. I’ve checked in incognito mode. I’ve disabled Cloudflare. Nothing has helped. Clearly this is a more widespread problem as multiple people are reporting it.
Please advise
Hi MetalPotatoUK, I’m sorry about this problem, but you don’t read all the ones that confirm they solved with the update and our suggestion. We’d be very unlucky if one of ThemeForest’s top authors didn’t pay attention to something so important. Sorry but the problem is known and if you have updated can only be related to the cache. Try using jQuery Migrate Help as suggested here: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
We weren’t notified by email that this kind of update was required so you can’t really complain at me for coming on here and advising you that I am experiencing a problem with your product. I’ve paid for support like other people have. If I had seen that this problem had been resolved, I wouldn’t be emailing you about it would i?
No, maybe we don’t understand each other. I am not complaining about the fact that you come to ask support even if expired, I just emphasise the fact that the solution is the update and be sure to have emptied all kinds of caches, as confirmed by many users (if you don’t trust us). It just seems strange that you’ve known us for a long time and you are using words like “reported by many users” as if we don’t care about a problem like that, while the compatibility update was even released a week before the WP 5.5.
Hi there. I set up a contact form and though I get a confirmation message after sending a message. I am not receiving the emails to my inbox. Can you please help.
Hi abishekantony! For these kinds of issues, you need to open a private ticket, it’s not something that we can debug from here. Anyway, please note that all the email functions are managed by the popular Contact Form 7 plugin and Uncode only applies some CSS to beauty the forms. Did you tested with the native WordPress theme? Probably the issue is at the provider level (at least most of the time). Please find all the info you may need on this matter here: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/214006365
Anyway, if you need support is offered in our Help Center, there we have a completely dedicated support team, please submit a ticket so we can check your installation and support the solution privately! Thank you! https://support.undsgn.com/hc
Since the update, the main issue I have is going to domain.com/wp-sitemap.xml throws out a lot of wp bakery style code. Has anyone else managed to find a solution to this? Already spoke to support and AIO SEO. WP Bakery wont help as its customised plugin. Guessing someone else has had the same issue and hopefully found a solution.
Hi OmriS! No one has this problem and I have now tested the most popular plugin that exists for Sitemap generation on Wordpress (Google XML Sitemaps) and everything works perfectly. I also tested All in One SEO pack, and everything works smooth too: https://undsgn.d.pr/GqBJcL
Anyway if you go to https://www.yoursiteurl.com/sitemap.xml and look at the page source code you have a sitempa (only you see everything white). Same thing if you go to https://www.yoursiteurl.com.com/post-sitemap.xml, there is a sitemap.
Please note that I’m not going to answer anymore, as also today I find you writing here, now has been asked several times to use the support, so don’t take it as a discourtesy.
I dont know why you have a problem with me asking if others have had the issue. Wasnt dissing the theme or support which has been great, but I have a problem and am seeing if others have had issues. I dont have an issue with /sitemap.xml I have an issue with wp-sitemap.xml and wpbakery + AIO SEO. I did ask support they couldnt help. Thats fair enough. So I’m asking others. I do wish you’d stop getting so touchy about me asking a question to other members.
This wall is only used for general comments and by users who don’t have support for serious problems, such as those who have updated WordPress automatically to version 5.5 and see the Page Builder not working.
Anyway this is the result we have on a fresh installation: https://undsgn.d.pr/PY8PqE
When support are not able to resolve an issue, which is fair enough in this instance, I will do my best to find a solution and that involves asking other users of the theme. I’ve purchased a lot of themes and plugins and have never been told to not post on a wall. Ridiculous.
I’ve specifically got a problem with AIO SEO and This Theme / Page Builder.
I wont be the only one and am simply asking if others have had the issue and resolved, to post. You seem to take it as a personal dig at you for some strange reason.
This is the result of the fact that for all the last few days you have been asked not to post twice each time on both Support and the Wall. Everyone is in a hurry and would like to see their tickets resolved immediately. When you post here an author has to stop developing the theme to answer you when there are agents in charge of it. Please note this first. Other users simply ask to scale the ticket to a higher level of support and it seems to me the easiest thing to do.
I posted in support and they were unable to resolve. How am I supposed to know thats even an option when nobody says so??
I wasnt even asking you the quesiton, I was asking users of the theme. Anyway, stop replying because quite frankly its annoying. Support is great. The theme is fantastic, but I’m finding these comments from you just rude.
There’s a problem with AIO SEO and the pagebuilder. They dont work together. Its that simple. AIO SEO said its the pagebuilder. WPBakery says they cant help because its a custom WPBakery, and you’re moaning because I’m posting on here!
Users of the theme will not reply you here, in case there is a dedicated Facebook group if you expect to start a conversation with some users, this wall can only be replied by the authors. if you have a problem with a ticket you can ask the agent to escalate the request. Sorry it’s not rude when for the last 4 days we asked to not write here since there is a dedicated Help Center for support questions/requests.
Anyway we have tested everything and I confirm that everything works perfectly, of course if your site is blocked by search engine WordPress settings, even wp-sitemap.xml won’t work (and there is also an obvious warning). Anyway, is there a dedicated ticket for this?
Ive tested and can confirm that its not that simple. If I switch theme, I dont get the issue. The site is blocked as its a dev site. Its the same on my live site (which is not set to noindex) which Ive put in support. It spits out a load of uncode/wpbakery shortcodes if used with AIO SEO. Anyway dont worry about it. I’ll wait for others to report it and for you to release a fix.
Hi OmriS! As said don’t expect any fix, we have tested everything and everything works perfectly if things are set properly.
Good day I have been experiencing issues with the theme ever since I updated the encode wp bakery plugin. I can’t edit the pages or upload any images.
Hi oisclayton! Please find all the info you need here, if you have updated or WordPress automatically updated to version 5.5, you need to update Uncode, all plugins and be sure to have cleared the cache: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
Hi I’ve cleared the cache but I don’t see an update for the theme yet.
Hi oisclayton! The cache need to be cleared after the update. Anyway, please note that to see the theme update notice the theme need to be properly registered. Otherwise, you can also use the Envato Market plugin: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/214001205#envato-market
in my backend editor vs code not working its show like this https://imgur.com/KPAV5Oa can you help that.
visual composer not working
Hi Evamotion! Please find all the info you need here: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
i am unable to deal with theme options now,,, mean some options are not appearing… like i want to add color in palette, when i press ADD NEW, option appear but there is no color selection option(color picker).that section is gone… screen shot: https://monosnap.com/file/74VdUyMwQUXIYVeVscuaGWafWJZFFG and this is not only one issue. i can not minimize any section of theme options check here https://monosnap.com/file/VXZZvXXnkB3WxWkRejeCPsRkCNCu5V
Clear cache and remove all extra plugin, even a single small extra plugin that depends on the jQuery Migrate can create this error from the new WordPress update, please read carefully: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
For the rest I confirm 100% that everything works correctly on Uncode 2.2.8.2 here a quick video from a random installation: https://undsgn.d.pr/iUtlI0

hi, i just want you to know that, after i upgraded to wordpress 5.5, backend editor is not working. posts always open in classic editor though, classic editor is off.and my uncode version is up to date.(2.2.8.2). this problem only arises after current updates of uncode and wordpress. kindly make it fully compatible. thank you
Hi infinitydecoder! You need to clear any kind of cache (browser, service, etc) or deactivate extra plugins that are still not updated for WordPress 5.5 (the 2.2.8.2 is super tested and lot of users already confirmed it works like a charm): https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
yes. you were right. now it’s working smoothly after removing cache. thank you
Hi infinitydecoder and thank you for the confirmation! Much appreciated!

Hello, I am currently having a problem registering my products since the 2.2.8.2 theme update. Does this happen to anyone else? Thank you
Hi Hennuyer! Do you have some specific error message?
When I make changes in a product, the “update” button no longer works
Please verify here all the possible issue, from the description it seems you probably have some browser extensions that block the connection with Envato server (but can be any of the possible problems described in this page), please try with another browser or Incognito More: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004287985
I’m talking about the list of products in woocommerce
Ok sorry! I thought you were talking about product registration. If you refer to the fact that you are not able to create a new product or save an existing product, no nobody has this problem and I checked now everything works, maybe a cache problem or some extra plugins, please find more information here (maybe you have extra plugins): https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
Thank you i will watch
Sure let us know!
Hello – when it comes to the navigation dots on the content slider, how can we keep them visible, instead of only on hover? I was able to keep the arrows visible, but would prefer the dots.
Hi durrock! You can use this simple code:
.owl-dots-inside .owl-dots {
bottom: 0px !Important;
}Anyway, if you need support is offered in our Help Center, there we have a completely dedicated support team, please submit a ticket so we can check your installation and support the solution privately! Thank you! https://support.undsgn.com/hc
Thanks so much!
Thank you for the confirmation!
WP Bakery Page Builder no longer works with Wordpress 5.5 + Uncode core 2.2.8.2, even after clearing cache. Please fix!
Hi clydetower! This WordPress version removed the jQuery Migrate plugin, so the issue can be related to some extra plugins you have that need to be updated too. You can read in this page other users confirming that everything is fine, for example: https://themeforest.net/comments/24932031
Sorry, but all our plugins are updated… Uncode core 2.2.8.2 just not working with WP5.5 on our side. Have downgraded to 5.4 to get it working again. Please advise ASAP when a fix has been issued for Uncode core.
Hi clydetower! There is nothing to fix, you can also read in these pages other users that confirm the update works like a charm. You need to clear any kind of cache (from the browser, to possible Cloudflare etc). If you are not able to flush your cache completely you can also use the jQuery Migrate Helper as reported here (anyway this is not required since the update works 100% granted): https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
I believe the issue is with the combination of WP5.5+Uncode+WPML plugin… When we uninstall WPML, WPBakery Page Builder works.
Hi clydetower! It seems to me something very strange that especially WPML didn’t release a compatibility update with WordPress 5.5, anyway please open an ticket so we can look at the details of your installation (yesterday I saw a site with WPML and WP 5.5) and there were no problems.
Hello – I am not sure if it’s the recent WordPress update, however, the VC does not work anymore, you cannot select between Visual and Text editor. Also all the options on Theme Options, individual page options are all open toggles and cannot be selected. I have deleted the theme and plugins and reinstalled everything with the same issue – maybe a bug that needs fixing?
Hi! If you update to WordPress 5.5 you need also to update the theme and plugins to the recent versions, please find more info here: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858-WordPress-5-5-update-notice
Thank you for your reply – I have updated everything, theme, plugins and you cannot create a page or post due to all the being see the screenshots: https://snipboard.io/W3oA2i.jpg https://snipboard.io/ZOMFQ4.jpg https://snipboard.io/4KfFIR.jpg all of these cannot be used.
Hi robdeighton! This WordPress version removed the jQuery Migrate plugin, so the issue can be related to some extra plugins you have that need to be updated too. You can read in this page other users conforming that everything is fine (also the message above this one).
Hello, since i updated the theme yesterday, everything seems to be working except the single block options for a post/portfolio masonry grid. The drop down check box options do not work and revert back to default when selected.
For example if i go into single block, edit a portfolio items width from 3/12 to 6/12, it reverts back to 1/12, and then can’t be changed. The other drop down boxes seem to work.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi si-design! Yes we are aware of this issue and our developers are working on it. The value is correctly selected but it’s not update visually. When fixed we’ll publish a new update and probably before a quick patch here: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/214092169
Thanks for the quick response. look forward to the fixes.
Hi si-design! Please find here the necessary fix for the Single block tab required for WordPress 5.5: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/214092169
Thanks, seems to have solves the problem. Great support!
Thank you for the confirmation!
I may have encountered another single block issue. on the build query i have to set it to “All” and then go to single block with “custom order” selected to see all my portfolio items to choose from. When i rearrange my projects the way i want them to appear and then go back and change the build query to 6, so only 6 portfolio items should be displayed in the custom order i have set but some of the items rearrange themselves.
Hi si-design! We are sorry but we are not able to replicate this one, tested now and everything works as expected (in case we need to check your installation privately for this, via Help Center): https://undsgn.d.pr/K38HKU
i sorted it by using the “order by”>”modified”. It only seems to display the order of my most recently saved projects.
Hi si-design and thank you for the confirmation (even if for us work with the default settings)!
whats the max amount of single blocks that can be populated/re-arranged? it seems that it will not display more than 10 portfolio items for me. Do I have to choose an option for “order by” because i think its overwriting the custom order i have set up, as the grid images replace each time i update a project.
There is not a limit but it’s quite extensive operation so be sure to have a good wp memory.
Hi, I have the page builder activated but it doesn’t work. and I’m looking the code: vc_row row_height_percent=”0” override_padding=”yes” h_padding=”2” top_padding=”5” bottom_padding=”5” overlay_alpha=”50” gutter_size=”3” column_width_percent=”100” shift_y=”0” z_index=”0”vc_tabsvc_row_inner row_inner_height_percent=”0” overlay_alpha=”50” gutter_size=”4” shift_y=”0” z_index=”0”[vc_custom_heading heading_semantic=”p” text_size=”h4”]
Hi palaciosvanessa! If you see this code, this means that the Page Builder is not activated, moreover I see that this code is incomplete (without a check to your site it’s not possible to understand).
Anyway, if you need support is offered in our Help Center, there we have a completely dedicated support team, please submit a ticket so we can check your installation and support the solution privately (or at least ask for support with an account that bought the theme)! Thank you! https://support.undsgn.com/hc
Hi, i have updated the theme and plugin, but then my media library is not working, when i created a page with frontend editor, i add a single media item, i tried to click on ”+” where to choose image, but the media library window won’t pop up, i have no idea why… this just happen when i update the theme… here is my screen record : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z6V-LqCwAPXj9jI6wHKlOgGQqgw8OLI2/view?usp=sharing i wonder if there’s any advise that what i can do to fix the problem?
Hi hotichen! Tested now with the new Uncode version and WordPress 5.5 and everything works as expected: https://undsgn.d.pr/QExjcI
Please be sure you have deleted your browser cache after the update. Also note that the recent WordPress update removed the jQuery Migrate script so if you have extra plugins that use this script probably you can have issues: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
Hi hotichen! Thank you for report, I pass this point to developers and let you know!
Hi, please find the necessary fix here: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/214092169
Hello, i have tried the new release, it now works fine… Thanks alot!
Thank you, all the best!
Wp 5.5 is full of bugs. I wouldnt update. I had to roll back to 5.4.2
I updated WP and the theme and as above could no longer edit CSS/JS in theme options. But it was a lot worse than that so rolled back for now.
Reading on forums, a lot of people are having issues with WP 5.5
Hi OmriS! I can’t tell you if WP5.5 is full of bugs (probably they will have something to fix as any major release) but I’m now testing the CSS/JS editor in the Theme Options of Uncode and everything works perfectly (make sure you have cleared the cache of your browser).
I cleared cache, cleared server cache, tried in different browsers etc. The bugs like not being able to expand menus in dashboard etc is being reported by others online. There’s def issues with 5.5
I couldnt even create a new user for support as wasnt able to click on buttons so had to do this through SQL.
Can I update the theme and stick on WP 5.4.2? Or do I have to have 5.5?
If you have all these WordPress issues, wait until they release another update. I’m using Uncode here with WordPress 5.5 and everything works for me, here’s a video where I show you that what you say is broken instead works: https://undsgn.d.pr/C0GNEA
Of course remember they removed jQuery Migrate, so if you have extra plugins using this script there are probably errors. We released an update and the original Uncode 2.2.8.2 doesn’t have problems with 5.5: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
Can I update the theme and leave WP on 5.4.2 for now or does it require 5.5?
Yes you can update. PS: Please also today I remind you that this wall is not for support, I hope you understand that.
Menu crashes upon using this famous plugin WordPress Download Manager , any idea? I have tried it in two websites built with uncode and the result is the same. Many Thanks.
Hi carlosrosales1979! Can you please specify with few more details what you refer with “menu crashes”?
When I activate the above mentioned plugin the menu voices overlaps on top of each other or changes the positioning on them. Check here, click the menu pls. http://colomboandpartners.it/eng/
I have contacted the plugin developers, and they say they have not had this issue with any top selled wp theme out there. Also I tried deactivating each plugin at the time to see if it was conflicting with another plugin but it was not. Many Thanks
Hello,
at the moment we don’t see any issue on your site https://undsgn.d.pr/zaIai0 and if we install and activate WordPress Download Manager (the free version at least) on our test sites, nothing change on the frontend: https://undsgn.d.pr/lRp8l2
I see, though, you have a child theme installed and on old version of Uncode (2.2.8.1) that isn’t compatible with WordPress 5.5. Could be that the issue maybe?
Let me know, best
Thank you for your kindly reply. I have updated everything now, but still uncode menu crashes. https://snipboard.io/u9H8Zj.jpg
Thanks You for replying, I updated everything but still uncode menu crashing. https://snipboard.io/u9H8Zj.jpg. Please note the issue happens when click on the menu voice not when hovering.
Ok, I see that when you click some script that doesn’t depend on Uncode adds the class “show” to the item and forces its property display with the value block. It is strange that a plugin manipulates in this way the frontend of a site, IMHO. However here is a CSS snippet to force the menu display property:
@media (min-width: 960px) {
body[class*=hmenu] ul.menu-smart > li.show {
display: inline-block !important;
}
}
Add it to your child theme or to “Theme Options > CSS & JS > CSS”. Let me know, best
You guys are the best!!!! Thanks
You’re welcome.
