I updated plugins, theme and WP version and now don’t see the “backend editor” buttons. Do you know why?

Hi! Please find more info here, be sure to have updated any kind of cache, also possible services like Cloudflare, and try to deactivate all extra plugins: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858-WordPress-5-5-update-notice

Hi, can you please tell me why my registration stopped working? I tried to reset it because it set to re-register it but now it says it’s already being used. I’m only using it on one website.

It’s important I get this resolved ASAP because I have to make time sensitive changes on the website.

Hi! What is the exact error message? If it refers to exceeded registrations this means that you already used on too many websites. Anyway, don’t worry we can check for you. Please send a private message from the form you find in this page and include your Purchase Code: https://themeforest.net/user/undsgn

How do we get the mobile menu to kick in sooner? With your CTA menu, it gets cut off on ipad. I’m surprised there isnt a better system for adjusting the menu layout with various devices like other major themes. Am i missing something or does the entire css structure around that need to be edited?

Hi blieben! Yes, this is a preset, please try to use this code (maybe need some fine-tune but it worked fine for other users with long menus): https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/214006385

I used that code but it still doesnt do the job.

Hello,
sorry, as we said, maybe the suggested code needs some adjustments to better work with your settings. But since we don’t know what your settings are, it would be better if you contact our Help Center and provide more details together with your site URL to better check and support the solution privately! Thank you! https://support.undsgn.com/hc

For some reason, i’m assuming after WP update, I can no longer change background media from the front-end too. I click the ‘add’ button but nothing happens. Any advice please?

Hello! Sorry for the issue, however, please, get more info about WordPress update 5.5 from our docs here: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858

If following the steps suggested there doesn’t help, provide a screenshot of your browser console if you have errors in it.

My Uncode theme version is saying: 2.2.8.3. Is there a newer version? There are no updates on my site to say so. Please advise.

You have the latest version of Uncode, but please, check also if the plugin Uncode Core is updated to 2.2.8.3 and, as I wrote above, please provide a screenshot of your browser console if you have errors in it.

This latest Wordpress update .. and Uncode update has resulted in all my Theme Option Typography settings reverting to default .. I’ve had to go in and reselect lots of other Theme options this morning.. all the menu opacity settings had reverted to default 100%, still ironing it out. I’ve got lots of other Uncode sites and am not looking forward to going through all of them re-doing the settings.

Thousands of users are waiting for a fix you mean

Who’s waiting for a fix? I only have users who are confirming that everything is going well with WP 5.5, the only problem that came out in the last few days (and we’re talking about something really slight) has already been fixed in the Uncode 2.2.8.3 version: https://undsgn.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213454129

PS: Please check your ticket, nothing deal with the update of WordPress or Uncode.

Wordpress updated to 5.5 and the visual editor no longer works on any of the pages. Do you know when you will release a fix? I’ve updated the theme and plugins to no avail.

Hi dangoo! The compatible update is out from a week and it perfectly fix all the possible problems with WordPress 5.5, be sure to clear all your caches and disable possible out of date extra plugins: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858

Hi i dont know why, but i am not able to change my pictures in the portfolio anymore. even if i creat a new portfolio item. This counts for the Featured Image and for the Media Gallery. If i press the button to choose pictures, the site will jump up to the beginning and thats it. nothing happens.

Can it be a bug? Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi Harpyen! If you have updated WordPress you need also to update Uncode and all the plugins to the compatible version: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858

After the update to WP 5.5 and the current Uncode 2.2.8.2, the thumbnails in the Media Gallery on the web page are displayed in low resolution, in another Mac the gallery is displayed only white without thumbnails, in IE again low resolution. Everything is fine in Chrome.

Hi dusanvondra! I’m pretty sure this is related to cache, anyway if you open a ticket we can verify what is the problem, it’s really not possible debug in words. In case notify here the ticket ID so we can check soon.

After updating to Wordpress 5.5 I can’t edit anything. I also updated Uncode Theme to latest version but it’s still broken. Installed js patch/fix from your docs aswell but still broken. I need to edit the page. All plugins are latest verions/updated and I installed the jquery Migrate Helper but it says this:

jQuery Migrate Helper — Warnings encountered

This page generated the following warnings:

jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated https://www.domain.com/page_content/themes/uncode/core/assets/js/min/admin_uncode.min.js: ‘ready’ event is deprecated

Please make sure you are using the latest version of all of your plugins, and your theme. If you are, you may want to ask the developers of the code mentioned in the warnings for an update. .

Thanks!

Hi jimmyjam! This can only be related to cache, please delete any kind of cache you have, the Unode 2.2.8.2 is super tested and as you canrad here from some comments fix all the problems: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858

Problem is there is no cache to delete. Browser cache deleted many times. What does ‘canrad’ mean?

All the text fields appear as empty and many buttons appear without proper menu. I can’t find anything but the error clearly points to the admin.js of uncode, so I don’t know how to use the theme anymore :/

Hi jimmyjam! We are sorry but we cannot help better from here, we can only grant that the new version of Uncode fixes all the problems with WordPress 5.5 (as you can read here from some comments or in the Uncode Facebook Group). In the last 24 hours we have seen so many users in the Help Center, reporting this problem, and they all fixed clearing the cache (please consider also possible Cloudflare). Consider also that even a single extra plugin that still uses jQuery Migrate can produce this error.
Anyway, if you need support is offered in our Help Center, there we have a completely dedicated support team, please submit a ticket so we can check your installation and support the solution privately! Thank you!  https://support.undsgn.com/hc

Hello

After updating wordpress 5.5 we got this javascript error at the post edit template.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘msie’ of undefined at Object.OT_UI.init_select_wrapper (ot-admin-extended.min.js?ver=1.0.0:1) at Object.init (ot-admin.min.js?ver=2.5.4:1) at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (ot-admin.min.js?ver=2.5.4:1) at i (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2) at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2) at Function.ready (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2) at HTMLDocument.J (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)

The javascript file wich is triggering the error is related to Uncode Core plugin: https://corp.webgarciacarrion.com/wp-content/plugins/uncode-core/includes/theme-options/assets/js/min/ot-admin-extended.min.js?ver=1.0.0

Thank you

Hi pepagroup! If you have updated WordPress you need also to update Uncode and all the plugins to the compatible version: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858

Thank you guys for provide the update for WordPress 5.5! I confirm that everything is working fine for me after updating the theme and clear the cache!

Hi Mollichetta and thank you for the kindly words! Much appreciated! ;)

Hey guys, love the theme as always. I thought I’d give you guys a heads up that the back-end editor isn’t functional on all my clients websites (10+). This happened after updating to WordPress 5.5; please pass this along to the dev team.

Note: I’ve cleared all cache, updated all plug-ins then also deactivated said plug-ins in several different combinations on several different websites. Hopefully this gets addressed ASAP. Anyways, thanks team!

Hi tgdecker! If your WordPress update to version 5.5, please update the theme to the latest version that is Uncode 2.8.2.2, you can find all info here, moreover please remember even also a small extra plugins that is not update (maybe the authors haven’t done an update) can produce all these problems: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
A quick solution can be also install the jQuery Migrate plugin but it’s just a workaround since the update work properly.
Anyway, if you need support is offered in our Help Center, there we have a completely dedicated support team, please submit a ticket so we can check your installation and support the solution privately! Thank you!  https://support.undsgn.com/hc

Okay sounds good. I’ll submit a ticket, thanks for the quick reply

Sure!

Hello, there seems to be some kind of incompatibility between Uncode Core and a plugin called “Knowledge Base for Documents and FAQs” By Echo Plugins.

When I create a new article in the KB plugin it does not give me the backend builder option even if I select it in supported post types. I can live with that.

BUT the issue always prevents me from adding Media or opening up the cog icon for URL links (eg to send link to a new tab).

Chrome Console reports:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘msie’ of undefined at Object.OT_UI.init_select_wrapper (ot-admin-extended.min.js?ver=1.0.0:1) at Object.init (ot-admin.min.js?ver=2.5.4:1) at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (ot-admin.min.js?ver=2.5.4:1) at i (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery,utils&ver=5.5:2) at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery,utils&ver=5.5:2) at Function.ready (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery,utils&ver=5.5:2) at HTMLDocument.J (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery,utils&ver=5.5:2)

Do you have any suggestions? These files appear to come from Uncode Core? Thank you!

Hi Robbo870! Do you have the issue of the Media in all pages even without this plugin? In this case it’s related to the recent WordPress update: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858

I’m having the same problem others are reporting. My theme options accordions do not work. All the options are open by default: https://tinyurl.com/y2an2hj7

Color pickers are missing: https://tinyurl.com/yykh8dlx

Visual composer editor missing: https://tinyurl.com/y59ffmkq

Plugins page screenshot: https://tinyurl.com/y3lqm39s

I’ve disabled all plugins except those that ship with the theme. I’ve also deleted all caches and cookies. I am using the latest version of your plugins and themes. I’ve checked in incognito mode. I’ve disabled Cloudflare. Nothing has helped. Clearly this is a more widespread problem as multiple people are reporting it.

Please advise

Hi MetalPotatoUK, I’m sorry about this problem, but you don’t read all the ones that confirm they solved with the update and our suggestion. We’d be very unlucky if one of ThemeForest’s top authors didn’t pay attention to something so important. Sorry but the problem is known and if you have updated can only be related to the cache. Try using jQuery Migrate Help as suggested here: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858

We weren’t notified by email that this kind of update was required so you can’t really complain at me for coming on here and advising you that I am experiencing a problem with your product. I’ve paid for support like other people have. If I had seen that this problem had been resolved, I wouldn’t be emailing you about it would i?

No, maybe we don’t understand each other. I am not complaining about the fact that you come to ask support even if expired, I just emphasise the fact that the solution is the update and be sure to have emptied all kinds of caches, as confirmed by many users (if you don’t trust us). It just seems strange that you’ve known us for a long time and you are using words like “reported by many users” as if we don’t care about a problem like that, while the compatibility update was even released a week before the WP 5.5.

Hi there. I set up a contact form and though I get a confirmation message after sending a message. I am not receiving the emails to my inbox. Can you please help.

Hi abishekantony! For these kinds of issues, you need to open a private ticket, it’s not something that we can debug from here. Anyway, please note that all the email functions are managed by the popular Contact Form 7 plugin and Uncode only applies some CSS to beauty the forms. Did you tested with the native WordPress theme? Probably the issue is at the provider level (at least most of the time). Please find all the info you may need on this matter here: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/214006365

Since the update, the main issue I have is going to domain.com/wp-sitemap.xml throws out a lot of wp bakery style code. Has anyone else managed to find a solution to this? Already spoke to support and AIO SEO. WP Bakery wont help as its customised plugin. Guessing someone else has had the same issue and hopefully found a solution.

Anyway we have tested everything and I confirm that everything works perfectly, of course if your site is blocked by search engine WordPress settings, even wp-sitemap.xml won’t work (and there is also an obvious warning). Anyway, is there a dedicated ticket for this?

Ive tested and can confirm that its not that simple. If I switch theme, I dont get the issue. The site is blocked as its a dev site. Its the same on my live site (which is not set to noindex) which Ive put in support. It spits out a load of uncode/wpbakery shortcodes if used with AIO SEO. Anyway dont worry about it. I’ll wait for others to report it and for you to release a fix.

Hi OmriS! As said don’t expect any fix, we have tested everything and everything works perfectly if things are set properly.

Good day I have been experiencing issues with the theme ever since I updated the encode wp bakery plugin. I can’t edit the pages or upload any images.

Hi oisclayton! Please find all the info you need here, if you have updated or WordPress automatically updated to version 5.5, you need to update Uncode, all plugins and be sure to have cleared the cache: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858

Hi I’ve cleared the cache but I don’t see an update for the theme yet.

Hi oisclayton! The cache need to be cleared after the update. Anyway, please note that to see the theme update notice the theme need to be properly registered. Otherwise, you can also use the Envato Market plugin: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/214001205#envato-market

in my backend editor vs code not working its show like this https://imgur.com/KPAV5Oa can you help that.

i am unable to deal with theme options now,,, mean some options are not appearing… like i want to add color in palette, when i press ADD NEW, option appear but there is no color selection option(color picker).that section is gone… screen shot: https://monosnap.com/file/74VdUyMwQUXIYVeVscuaGWafWJZFFG and this is not only one issue. i can not minimize any section of theme options check here https://monosnap.com/file/VXZZvXXnkB3WxWkRejeCPsRkCNCu5V

Clear cache and remove all extra plugin, even a single small extra plugin that depends on the jQuery Migrate can create this error from the new WordPress update, please read carefully: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011829858
For the rest I confirm 100% that everything works correctly on Uncode 2.2.8.2 here a quick video from a random installation: https://undsgn.d.pr/iUtlI0
