It seems the issue was caused by using the Uncode Theme 2.7.0 and 2.7.1 with the WP Rocket plugin. By putting WP Rocket into safe mode, the problem seems to be solved, but I am now experiencing a lower performance.

After some testing, it seems that, specifically, the WP Rocket CSS optimization led to the issue of elements that had transitions not loading and some other minor issues.

Do you know if incompatibilities between Uncode and WP Rocket?

After some further testing and troubleshooting the issue seems to lie solely with WP Rocket’s “Optimize CSS Delivery” -> “Remove Unused CSS” feature.

This feature worked before the 2.7.0 Uncode Theme update.

Do you know if there is a way to make this feature work with Uncode or if it will be rectified in future updates of Uncode?

Indeed, it has been resolved by giving it different height and width values. Previously, SVG files by default included 1:1 values and that was enough. In this version of Uncode it is necessary to indicate the exact values. Thanks for the indication.

As far as I can see your video is not available from your page account on Vimeo, so I’m afraid it has restriction for use via API, which is what we do for background video.

Ok, long story short – now it works So, I wasn’t really changing anything until it stopped working. Then I was starting to test different things, including adding a new media (and deleting the old one). I tried different configurations, but nothing helped. And then after your last comment I was going to change the setting on the video itself from hidden to public, although it previously worked as hidden, and it asked me to make one more setting (as far as I remember referring to the question if it may be showed to all viewers or to adults only) and then it started working. I don’t know, maybe at the same time Vimeo made some changes… Anyway, many thanks for your help and I hope it can be solved by the update sooner than later and then I will be able to change the CSS / JS split settings. Again: thanks!

Sharing your URL and being able to see the problem would certainly help us answer, however, I can definitely answer that the carousel script does not allow slides to be hidden via CSS: it encloses each slide in a container and at most, precisely, shows an empty container, relying on the markup and not the CSS that is applied. To achieve what you are asking for you may have to create two carousels, one visible on desktop, the other on mobile without the slide you want to hide.

You might try switching to Dynamic Srcset: https://undsgn.d.pr/PBy6If and see if that solves the problem. The only recommendation is that the Dynamic Srcset option takes a while for the new images to be generated so please visit your page frontend after activating this option it to create all responsive versions of the images used. If the waiting time when you first visit the page seems longer than normal, this is usually caused by the server creating all the necessary crops.

Thank you. I switched to dynamic srcset and so far it’s not doing anything. Also my new photos I’m uploading aren’t working still either. It’s weird the site was fine for years and all of a sudden it’s doing this. Didn’t mess with anything.

Hello, actually they do not load on desktop either, I think you see them only when you are logged. There are some JS errors, in facts, due, I guess, to your cache/minifier plugin (LiteSpeed?). In order to avoid to create those errors with cache plugin we suggest some rules to follow and in particular a golden rule: exclude from the minification those files and make sure they are not appended at the end of your document:
